Character Design Idea: SupaTroll Women
SOOOOOOOOOVIIIIIIIIET!
Get in here! Now!
And bring Prikker and Snikker.

There's also self-healing powers among Trolls, but I can't find that as an option for Tankers.

That's Dull pain in the invulnerability set I believe. I have a level 50 SS/Inv Tanker and I think those two powersets would work very well with your concept. Many of the trolls also exhibit SS powers as well.

SS? Super speed? Ooh! Good thinking! I hadn't even contemplated travel powers yet, but wouldn't Super Jump be more believable for a Troll?
Admittedly my decisions here may also be colored by recent toons I've been playing. My last two toons have been rather landlocked. I guess flight's not a good choice for a Tanker, but since Superadine seems to have something to do with dimension hopping, teleportation wouldn't be out of the question, would it?
Ideally what I'd wanna try to do here would be to create an interesting character concept that wouldn't adversely step on the toes of others who may have thought along these lines before me. Perhaps if I stated that my character took Superadine under special conditions that would explain why her abilities differed from other characters who might have approached their character design the same way.
Say for example I wanted my toon to be a Fire Aura/Stone Melee... I'm veering in that direction now cuz I think a green skinned Troll woman with flaming red hair would be particularly striking, and also because there's the Healing Flames option, which is in some ways similar to the Dull Pain in the Invincible power set. Maybe my character was in some kind of explosion while exposed to Superadine, explaining how her abilities might differ from that of others who were taking the stuff.
He means Soviet_Troll, (I think that's how it's spelled) a regular on the forums.
I don't think a woman troll would be any taller or stronger than a male, seeing as the average man starts off with more strength as it is. But she would be powerful nonetheless. The more Superadine she took the more powerful she would get probably. I would think a female troll would be smarter though, it would seem to fit. She would have to be tall, like an amazon. Teleportation is good but that 1% factoid isn't commonly known. I think most people would see a teleporting troll and go, "Huh?"
I think Super Leaping is your best option. As would be stone or invulnerability sets. I don't know about fire melee. That would be hard to explain.
Bright green skin and flaming red hair would be cool. I think you have a good concept. Just give her bright green skin and put the chest slider all the way up (Another effect of the superadine). But if you do put the chest slider all the way up she will have to have superstrength because that is what it will take to carry those things around.

Soviet is our resident Tro' Boy, and this relates to female trolls, while he has two characters, Prikker and Snikker, who are male trolls.
I don't know whether the two brothers would come in here for interest reasons, or... OTHER, reasons, but yeah, Soviet controls trolls.
And "SS" is a reference to Super Strength.
Take it from me: Stone Armor/Super Strength can be a lot of fun.
It's just slightly slow going, though. When using Stone Armor, Swift is a necessity.
My Stories
Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.
When I tried to do it I went with a Stone Melee/Invuln Brute. Problem was then they changed the villain version of Invuln to that ugly purple-black color and I couldn't stand the way she looked anymore with her toggles up.
I know Troll Ogres use Armor, so you could try that. I just hate the look of it so much I didn't bother trying to remake her.
My opinion?
When a woman uses Superadine, they get various telekinetic abilities such as mind control, telekinesis, and the telekinetic ability to keep those itty bitty bras and panties they call costumes from flying away everytime someone uses Gale or Hurricane.
So any woman that isn't Sister Psych uses superadine....but that's just my conpiracy theory.
Trolls are not males or females, Trolls are its.
Abuse of superadine removes any indication of gender, be it external or internal.
You rang, peoples?
And so says the few captured for research, anyway.
But Essex actually has a female troll; she'd be the one to talk to. As for mine...They have pretty crazy powers, really. Almost anything works if you make it. Prikker is plant/thorn due to Crey chemicals. Snikker is dark/dark due to vampyri research. It's whatever floats yer boat.
If you're gonna go with fire/invuln maybe say she was a mutant of sorts before taking Supadrine? *shrug* Just a thought.
I always thought female consumption of Superadine caused felinoid anthromorphosis, hyperactivity, loss of intellect, and nymphomania, myself.
Least that's what happens when I feed it to the experimental subjects.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

You think (fantasize) they become sex-crazed catgirls? That's pretty twisted...

Send some of them my way will ya?
Raffa: <_< Lat's kreyzi.
Anyway, rawr. A female Supa-Troll is an AWESOME concept for a character.
As Soviet said, I have a female troll character - Raffa, a 'dyne baby who stuck a fork in a toaster and is now an elec/elec Brute.
Personally, I think the physical builds do more for the "OMG it's a Troll" factor, but if you take a look at Soviet's characters, they're a Dom and a Corruptor. It's all in what you make it.
Height shouldn't be an issue. The one costume thing I would probably suggest though is that you make her somewhat bulkier than normal. I don't mean "physique" slider to max, I mean just the thought of a waifish female Troll flittering about is a little...weird, I guess.
Trolls klomp. And the dyne gives them muscles to do so.
If you want to MAKE her a squishy, then feel free to roleplay their physical strength instead of having to represent it in powers. Traditional Troll build would be, I'm guessing, SS/Invuln. Though if you wanted to go with a Scrapper/Stalker, Regen is very Trollish.
But again, the above is just my opinion - it is what you make of it. :3
Japancakes.
Art - Theme 005 - Seeking Solace
Went with the Invulnerability/Stone Melee power sets ultimately. Made her as tall as possible and gave her some bulk. Big red glam hair with a headband, which makes no sense but somehow works. Her outfit is based loosely off the Supatrolls tank top, camo pants and big belt. Put her through the sewers tonight. She's quite a bit of fun. I'm looking forward to tackling SupaTrolls in Sky and running the Hallows plotarcs with her. She's on the Justice server if anyone wants to meet up some time. Her name is Fresynjah. That's a combination of the nordic goddess names Freyja and Syn, both of which were taken separately. Considering the male troll names like Gardvord and Atta, I think Fresynjah works perfectly. Thanks everyone for the input. =)
One thing that's kinda bothered me about this game is how Superadine appears to only be used by men. What happens when a woman uses it? Do they just die? Do they always immediately disappear to another dimension? Are the results more myriad for some reason? Maybe high amounts of estrogen in a body counteracts Superadine causing nothing of interest to happen, which is why we only see green men running around Hollows and Skyway. I can't find any reference in the game that a single woman has ever tried Superadine, and since it's been around in one form or another since the late 1970s, I have difficulty believing that.
I have been trying to think of a character concept for a Tanker that would interest me enough to keep me playing the character to fifty. I like coming up with character concepts that tie directly into the mythology of the game itself. In your experience has anyone tried this concept before? If so, to what level of success? What power sets were used? Should the character behave as much like the male trolls as possible, or can liberties be taken? Perhaps women trolls are smarter than men as well as stronger? And what would be the ideal look? Which shade of green works best for the skin? Should she be taller, and by how much?
I was originally thinking Stone/Stone for the power sets but only the Ogre seems to have rock armor. Atta and Calibans have powers that come from the Invulnerability primary power set. Supa Trolls seem to have some kinda self-buff that's invulnerable in nature but what it is exactly I don't know. There's also self-healing powers among Trolls, but I can't find that as an option for Tankers. Maybe there's a better power set for this idea? Maybe a woman who takes Superadine would get dramatically different abilities than male trolls, that'd be more suited to a controller role or a blaster? What do you guys think?
