Is it not pronounced 'Heroine' anymore? Is there some discrepancy that I should be using but have failed to catch? Can a hottie hero just be a fire/fire blaster or a fire/kin troller? Am I trying too hard to get a laugh?
I like the newly plucked aspect of rose, though, sadly, roses grow on bushes, yes? You should have gotten that lucky girl the whole thing.

Funny you should mention the part about Heroine, when I originally wrote the post I used the word Heroine but I noticed lately "Hero" has become unisex so I changed it.
Yes, hero has definitely become the unisex term to use. I myself still prefer the term heroine. I like the sound of it, even if it can be mistaken for something else.

I think I understand it now. It's a debate between pop culture and literary culture I suppose. Heroine certainly sounds more... stuck in a tower than anything else. While I wouldn't mind my super ladies to be called super heroines, as I consider each one to be their own lead character, as it must still mean that in a dramatic sense... super hero just does seem more... um... PC?
