Farwielder - MISSION COMPLETE! (2 versions!)
Nicely Done!~
very nice
Very sexy there, Squirrel.
Very nicely done! I think it looks great!
Looks really nice. I love the shading you did ... but with alot of dark colors like that, coloring it could be the easiest way to really differenciate the mask from the scarf.

Hehe, thanks all <^-^>
I was actually tempted to color this one... and who knows >< maybe I will at some point - but I don't want to get in the habit of coloring my queue pics - I'm entirely too meticulous with my colors <;_;> I'd be at it forever! (It's bad enough it takes me ages to get a pic done <x.x>
Anyways, much thanks hehe <^-^> anything particular that was liked about it?
mayhaps I should poke Farwielder too >.>;

I loved the perspective and the mask looked really good!
Guh sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been really busy lately with exams and I got my first ever commission so I've been working pretty hard on that.
That aside I LOVE this angle mist, I really do. And the charcol looks great. I've never really liked charcol as it tends to get everywhere but I love what you've done with it here.
Glad you like it Far <^,^>!

Ok so... I got inspired. Instead of sleeping, I finished Farwielder's piece ><; and... while the original sketch looked great on paper, it didn't translate through the scanner so hot - even my usual tricks didn't cajole it into retaining the depth I got on paper.
So... I have 2 versions to show of the final piece.
The first is the original sketch, merely touched up ever so slightly on the comp (but lacking alot of depth because the scanner just... missed... things...)
The second, I ran that same sketch through a brown and tan Charcoal and Chalk filter in photoshop... literally nothing else...
The difference imho is pretty staggering >< but, I figure it's best to show both <@_@> Also, is using a filter like that cheating? >.<; Cause it was very easy, but err... kinda did exactly what I wanted it to do ><;

What say ye my artistic friends? >.>
Also <'x'> feel free to critique me >< I really wanted to experiment with shading on that mask... so I did my absolute best there. (Well I did my best everywhere, but I focused especially heavily on the mask)
My primary complaint with the normal version is that the mask doesn't stand out nearly enough from the visor... however, in the chalkncharcoal version that problem seems to be allieviated despite them not really being... well, differentiated much at all...
>.< I dunno.
Anyways <X_X> I may touch it up a bit more. Maybe, but probably this is it hehe <@.@>b I drew no less than 5 versions of Farwielder before getting to this one! On the one hand - that was alot of work... but I think it was worth it ><;
