My worse is unfortunatly my wife's character Blue Note

It was in my defence one of my first try at digitally coloring.

I think my worst for the year was Light-Speed. That's safe to say since she's my own character... which also means that I probably had the highest hopes for it being cool.

As for why it's not good, shes WAY too stiff. I wanted to capture her just about to land from a jump. If I had gotten it right, she'd be leaned back, limbs bent to cushion the landing, torso forward with the motion, etc etc. It just isn't what I wanted.

Someday, I might go back and redo it. But probably not.

Here's a reminder; LIGHT-SPEED poster

Yeah, I can se it. Honestly though, I thought you intended her to have a "floating look".

Ah well, we learn from it all eh.

I wish my worst bit of art I have done this past year was as bad as that LIGHT-SPEED poster.

Really. Or even my best

And I ditto Juggertha - I thought it was you getting a floating-speedy look.

So, I decided to go the Art Major route this last semester and finally took real art classes. Overall it's helped me tremendously, especially the Life Drawing course. However, for our last session we had to focus on foreshortening, and I was defeated. The extreme foreshortening sitting was okay (if not great), but the slight foreshortening session where the model stood on a ledge about 10 feet above the floor is... not good. It's hands down the worst thing I drew last year, that I did not toss out or burn. The rendering is mostly fine, but the proportions are very off, making her look kind of freakish.

The thing is, it is a drawing of a naked woman since it is from a life drawing class--I have it up as an art nude on my DA space but having noticed there are some youngish folks lurking around, I really don't want to get yelled at, so I haven't posted a link.
