Ghost Widow:The Beginning

My hero Camo Fire recently heard a story while listening to some Arachnos on an under cover mission. The mission was easily completed, as Camo Fire's firey power overcomes Arachnos. But the story he heard was very interesting and he would like to share it with you. He is currently working on writing it out so he will not draw blanks and be able tot ell the story at once. It is about how Ghost Widow became who she is.

Not RP...I am currently working on this story. It should be done in a few days. i've been busy with school work, but the story is nearly complete. I'll just say that Ghost Widow, before she died and turned into a ghost, had a super hero husband and a super hero daughter.

hmmmm...i believe i have. Is that the CoV one where you go back to mercy at like lvl 18?

Yep. Around that level.

Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.

Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.

NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.

And it flat out tells you most if not all of Ghost Widow's history and how she become "Ghost Widow."

It doesn't tell us if she was married or if she had cildren, but as she was a Night Widow in Arachnos, both of those possibilities seem VERY unlikely. The story arc even says quite plainly that Wretch and GW used to be in love before Wretch became...well...Wretch, and before GW died. So unless GW was cheating on her husband...Yea.

So this idea is good, but unfortunatly it has already been done. You can still do it, of course, just be aware that most of this is already filled in.

i did that one on my MM. why?

oh, now someone posts saying why. I knew that the history was in the game somewhere. I was going to recreate it in different terms for entertainment. Isnt that what the RP forum is about? entertainment?

Go ahead. We were just checking to see if you knew there was an official history for her.

But by all means, there are loads of alternate dimensions out there. Who's to say your story can't be about that?

By which I mean, go ahead and write it anyway.

In this case you appear to be confusing RP with fanfiction.

More like confusing RP with canonrape.

We do this for entertainment, yes, but we add to the world and work within the rules and characters that are established, not re-write the history of a character whom we don’t have license to change.

That is my biggest gripe about most fan-fic; writers breaking down the histories set up by the creators and having the characters acting contrary to their personality. The affect is always so jarring that other people who know and love the characters go ‘Whaaaaat?’ and get turned off to that particular fan-fic site.

Suggestion: ADD to the mythology of the City of Heroes; don’t try and re-write the history of another person’s character (especially if it is one whose history is well-known). Work on things that haven’t been developed. Interact with the signature characters, but don’t try to change them.
