Something in a specific spot so that I'll remember where it is I always forget.

I need gluesticks to finish my proton pack for my Ghostbuster halloween costume

Does this happen to anyone besides myself?

Completely odd I know.

You are not alone. I swear one time I looked EVERYWHERE for my tape and couldnt find it. I picked up a new roll while I was at the store and when I came home . . . there was the old tape sitting on the counter. It's elves I tell you. ELVES!!!

This reminds me of an old episode of Twilight Zone. This guy went to get his car keys and they weren't where he left them, then something else was missing, then another thing... it started to really bother him. I can't remember how it happened, but he somehow got himself held back a moment in time. That's where the builders are. They were going around tearing everything down, he fell back a moment. He asked one of them what was happening, they explained they take everything down and there's another group of builders that builds the next moment. He got sent to the next moment, the one before now. He met those builders and this one was a little absentminded and kept forgetting to put little things like keys where they're supposed to be.

That's why he could never find his keys. The absentminded builder of the next moment. He'd stumble across something he forgot to set up and just stick it somewhere.

I remember that one, but I think I saw a remake of it when the brought it back a few years ago because it was a couple instead of one guy and it was in color. That must be the explanation! Damn builders!

So THAT'S where Stephen King stole The Langoliers from! It bugged me when I saw that movie, but I couldn't recall. Thanks!

OK, so it wasn't just me that immediately thought of that Twilight Zone episode when he said that. I thought, what an odd thing...but it looks like I'm not alone.

It was from the remake series from the 80's, by the way. The episode was called a Matter of Minutes with Adam Arkin.

OK, did I just cross that line ultra-nerdom? I suddenly feel like Comic-book guy from the Simpsons.

Only if you know how many Twilight Zone episodes William Shatner was in... and can name them.

I know he was in two, but only have seen Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.

Correct..2 episodes.

Nick of Time
Nightmare at 20,00 feet

Looks like I better break out the black horn-rimmed glasses and my pocket protector...lol.

I don't remember much of the twilight zone, it was a bit before me. The proton pack is coming along nice though.

Sorry about that Far.

Are you planning on posting pics of this outfit of yours?

Posted

Yeah I will once its all painted. Right now the pack is just cardboard tape and hot glue though.

Did you guys see the 3rdRock from the Sun episodes where Shatner co-starred as the Big Giant Head?

One of the funniest nerd moments is when they meet him at the airport and Dick (John Lithgow) asks, "How was your flight?" And BGH replies, "Terrible! There was something on the wing!" And Dick replies, "The same thing happened to me!"

Considering current gas prices and how close to insanity some of us are already, why drive?

What about those of us that are ALREADY insane?
