But back on track - personally, I've never looked at my characters as all that tough. In my opinion, only Mnemonyev and Vyachslav qualify there, but like Blood's giant monster class character, they're not really comparable with the average PC.
I can't even say the ones that are brutes and tankers in the game are as such in threads. While diverse, the AT system is still quite limiting, so I'll usually just write said character as the person they are based on is - with as many or as little capability as the 'real' counterpart possesses. Whether blaster or brute, if they've got armor, they've got armor, if they've got shields, they've got shields - and if they don't pay attention and get whacked over the brain case, chances are they're gonna suffer from it no matter what anti-stun power the in-game AT has.
Some people may chide me on this view, but I find it much more fun than wedging myself into the little niches the ATs provide. But as always, YMMV.

OK, so here's the deal. Somehow Devious, you've gotten the opinion that I hate you or something. That's wrong. Completely wrong.
You seem to have the opinion that I have a grudge. I do not. I think it's unfortunate you didn't feel it would be a good idea to plan something out with me instead of trying to outmaneuver me in an RP thread I started that was essentially the story of an SG I started, which pretty much just me and maybe two other people ever post in. Blood under the bridge.
I don't have a grudge. I will never EVER say that what you did was justified, right, correct, OK, acceptable, or warranted. It wasn't unforgivable and it doesn't make you a bad person. I actually think you are pretty funny sometimes.

I'd love to bury the hatchet, and approach a project with you as equals. I'm sure we'd have fun together, but as you'll notice in that thread, I didn't call you names, insult you (other than to point out the godmoding) or follow you around trying to "educate people" about you. I didn't say anything bad about you period, and had you not jumped in here, no one would have even known I was TALKING about you.
Learning can be painful, and people have to be held accountable for their actions. So, in front of the whole community, I'm sorry for my part in our miscommunication, and I will work VERY hard to make sure it doesn't happen again by using PMs vigerously when I see a potential problem occurring.

Personally I think this is a wonderful thread to have JUST this kind of discussion in. It's about RP courtesy is it not? We're covering both godmoding and being polite to people by not talking down to them. Mutual respect. Not coming off like an [censored].

Yeah, but I feel we're on a higher level than normal internets. We are more civil and can solve our disputes if we just keep thinking like that. Instead of taking side, just make sure to treat others how you want to be treated and have fun.

I generally agree with Halo on godmoding but I think the issue being 'discussed' has more to do with the capabilities of certain characters and not godmoding which, by definition, is taking control of someone else's character.
I like to imagine that Devious' characters are just more difficult to 'defeat' than others, if that were your goal. If you're just RPing and you need to get past him or stop him or something, that's completely in the realm of possibility.....but I don't fight Devious. His characters solo AVs
