There already was one but it ended. SV101 died a couple months back, it's a few pages down.
Heh, we actually had Supervillain 101 going for a while, but it died a few monthes ago. None of the students could work together, it just didn't work very well.

The concept of a supervillain school was flawed to begin with. As BillBoy pointed out, the characters mostly didn't get along and it was just one long series of pissing matches in the end.

not all these kids ar ebad [censored] evil maniacs, there can bea f ew who know the school for wehat it really is, but im going on the basis that the freedom phalanx shut down the orignal school and so recluse came up with this, make his own "supe rhero" school to compete with golden eagle academy, btu he is only accpeting the confuse,d lsot and everything and slowly turning them evil, darker classes, everything is set in a darker aspect, more brutal.
Which, amusingly enough, was how SV101 was set-up. And, as mentioned previously, it died because villains of almost any shape or form don't make for good students. Too much infighting.

ok, ig uess, i dont see how it would matter much the fighting or not jsut like someone menmtioned before about Drow schools, they are brutal, but the thing is these are stil;lkids, Idont see howthey can be totally and utterly evil, they should still ebkids and liek havign fun, etc and should be able to get along and make allies, they will be manipulative adn such buit still, idk there would hafta regulations and restrictions on attiudes of chars
I rather liked the previous thread, and I really liked the character I made for it (Death Nell still exists in-game). But it became just another combat thread, basically, and I lost interest.

If you place too many controls the people are living under the boot of others (not fun), or in abject fear (also not fun).
Villain personalities are volitle by nature either greed, distrust or pyschopathic they just don't get along in groups

I think it could work, if you did the "school" aspect with a slight twist. As Halo said, Villians motivations are unsuited for a standard educational system, but if you place them in a situation where they need to learn to work together in order to achieve their goals that's when the insidious nature of villiany will arise.
Perhaps if the 'school' were something like "Ziggursky Juvenile Detention Center" and the 'villain babies' (tm) were inmates, complete with power suppressors, and they had to attend classes as part of their rehabilitation it could take the emphasis off whose [censored] is the baddest, and more emphasis on the RP between the characters.
Also, it's my opinion that any problem that arises from the so-called 'pissing-contest' mentality that dooms threads is solely the fault of the players who all decided to make the same kind of character. There are an unlimited number of possibilities for what could make people a villian, and being a tough customer is just one of them. Remember; 4 out of 5 villain ATs are "squishy" ATs, which means (in my opinion) most villains are going to shy away from direct confrontation. Also, not every villian is bright or strong-willed. Some people just do what they're told so people will like them, or because they're scared by stronger personalities.
I guess the point I'm making is that just because a thread failed before, doesn't mean it's automatically a write-off for future RPs. Take what worked, scrape out what didn't, change it up and try again. In the end, everyone will win if we work together and come up with enjoyable settings.
Thats a really good idea, I never thought of that, making it a juvenil detention facility would work perfectly because though there would be ickering and argueing, they would constantly have to make allies to survive the "school" enviroment that owuld of course be taught by teachers , some biased, others not, it sounds really good to me, but I wont make it unless I know ppl will be good for it

I can't say I'd help GM the thing but I can possibly keep it in order. I already know who'd I'd use in the thread if it were made, but I suggest getting some big influence guys to endorse the thread so more people will stick with it.
I won't go naming names but if you can get one of the big guns to join, the others will all join in too....I can guarantee you that.

No offense intended, though it certainly will, the first thing you should get is a GM who can write coherent sentences.
I, personally, would recommend people who can write essay-long posts with ease. However, seeing as how that seems to be a rarity in this day and age, four paragraph-posters will do.

haha i would totally ask billyboy, but he seems liek he REALLY has his hands full with sh101 and i dont wanna have him gming two and over do himself, i would personally love leo to help "keep it in order" because he is basically awesome at keeping together the stuff for sh101.
