What, did mine look too young for ya?

I can draw in a more realistic style when I feel like it.

That's Frosty Femme too. (As you can tell.)

Which style do you like better, guys? Oh, and if someone wants to color this one, be my guest, when I color my pieces that are a bit more realistic, they sometimes come out looking weird, becuase I'm terrible at shadows and lighting. But anyway, tell me what you think, guys!!

I like everything you do Derek. There's a sense of fun that you bring to your work that I really enjoy.

Here's a link to my newly created Frosty Femme album on PhotoBucket:

This may have broken my original link, but that image is in this album (which is why it would be broken above). I hope this gives folks what they're looking for and feel free to ask for specific poses and I'll try to get them as quickly as possible.

Aw crud, she gots a cape?! @.@

And I'm very glad you enjoy my work. I... don't have a very high self asteem, therefore I don't like what I do myself very much... So it makes me really happy when other people say they like it.

Yeah, she's got a cape now. The original shot was from level 11. I'm almost 24 now! People should feel free to draw her however they want though. With or without the cape. Hell, put her in different costumes if you want. I'm interested to see what people might come up with.

Derek, I appreciate anyone who takes the time put so much into something that means so much to me.

Hey, Battlewraith <o.O> can I ask a really stupid question? ><

How do you do that flat grey without being all uhm. Liney. >.<; I can't seem to do that with pencil - and my pens are too dark and never cover enough; is it a special pen or marker? Or just a photoshop technique I haven't mastered yet?

>< Sorry to ask >< it looks really cool!

It's not a stupid question and you don't have to apologize for asking Everything I post here has been done in Photoshop. When I want to add a flat grey in an area, like in that pic, I create a new layer and set it to multiply. Multiply adds value (i.e. it only makes things darker) to whatever is there, unlike a normal layer which would cover up anything below it. So black lines will stay black but lighter areas will get darker, so you can still see the sketch lines underneath.

The layer with the grey, the grey color is 100% opaque so you don't see any streaks, as if i spraypainted something with one color until the whole object was the same tone. If I lowered the opacity on the brush i was using, you would see streaks, strokes, etc. Hope that makes sense.

Ahh, <@.@> that does make sense... so basically - I'd do it pretty much exactly like I'd do my color layer right now <@.@>; I think.

(Err, basically - assuming I'm understanding right; would it look like:

Layer 1 - Line - Multiply

Layer 2 - Colors/B&W, What have you - Normal

Layer 3 - Black Background - Normal

(thanks for answering btw >< huge help)

Yes, mist. Though the black background wouldn't be necessary. Only if you wanted a black background behind everything.

Okay, I attempted coloring her... (Not with the method you described, a different one, which is the art of fill and burn and dodge. Really bad way of coloring. >.&gt

But anyway, I think it turned out alright... Sort of.

Ive got the pose and body sketch done. I just have to put on the costume stuff and cape. and color it. and derek, your work is all pretty cool, it always looks cute-ish, without looking like big-eyed anime stuff.

I use a bit of a less anime/manga-ish style for you guys, because of the way CoH stuff looks. The eyes are usually a biiiit bigger, but not by all that much. Depends on the character, really.

Glad you like my work.

thanks! but there's a few things I dont like about it. The face is bad, and I forgot to overlap the arm when I put it on the compy, so it looks short now. and I'm really bad a drawing hair.

Doesn't matter to me. I just like seeing one of my characters brought to life. hehe

hey, I dont know, its just what the dict. said. here is the first definition I saw
–noun Slang.
a lesbian who is notably feminine in appearance.
Also, fem.

the second just said somebody who is exhibiting exxagerated physical feminine traits. I dont know why the slang version was first, though.
