Who wants to make me a BD wallpaper?

I'm looking for a good artist to make me a picture of of Blue Dagger, that would be suitable for a desktop wallpaper. I don't care what means you use to make this, whether it's pencils, paint, or on a computer program, I just need a good artist. Someone who knows they're good, and wont make something that looks like a little kid did it

Here are some screenshots of Blue in the costume I would like him:

The bigger picture you see when you scroll down a bit shows-off the costume well. And also the "flexing" screenshot shows his top half well.


I don't have a screenshot of the pose I'd like him in, but I'd like him just kinda' standing there with his claws on, looking at you/me/whoever's looking at the picture. Please make his claws long, so that they almost reach the ground.

Look around and see if there's an artist here who's style you like - "Please draw me!" threads are sometimes successful, but more often than not get lackluster attention. Plus there's no better incentive for art than flattery!

There are a lot of talented people here who draw for free, but their lists are pretty long. If your standards are really high you might have to be willing to shell out some moolah.

Although that avatar is a bit of an outdated drawing, it's not quite as good as I am now...

indeed...they want money. please remember that there are quite a few people that post work here that do just that for their living. as such, no reason to be shocked over this....just a fact of life.

but, as Star said....nothing wrong with approaching individual artists here and asking. after all, ya never know till ya do. ~

I draw a manga style, and as I've said, I've gotten better since I made that avatar. I hope you do put it as your avatar, though I doubt it. Go put a message in Derek's Sketch Thread so I don't forget, though... I can be quite airheaded. >.>

Well, This thread is probably going to get you lots of replies you don't like heh. As Starchasm said, the 'really Good' guys either have que's a mile long, or charge money (usualy both) ... and before you scoff, most people consider the prices for the quality of their work Very reasonable (I know I do, and I also can't afford them either but then, I can barely afford coh atm heh) On the other hand, there are many talented artists here who occasionally open themselves up for freebies (See, Serengti Lord, CJ, Quake, and quite a few others) you just have to get in line and hang around to see when these threads pop up.

Also, if you have any sort of ability yourself (even if it just looks like 'a little kid did it') many artists love to trade/collect from many sources, and you could probably work out trades easy enough.

There are many paths to good art on this board, money, time, persistence (as in, hanging out, and being a nice guy regular, not just bugging everyone. Though TA does both, he's an exception. >.&gt starting a new thread and offering the Priveledge of someone to draw your character (and only someone 'good' at that!) is not going to win you a lot of brownie points. Do you honestly think the 'good' artists have nothing better to do than sit around and wait for someone to 'let them' draw their character? hehe Esspecially with nothing but your appreciation offered in return?

Anyhow. lecture over. Welcome to the art boards, browse around, enjoy the artz, help the artists when they ask for critiques, meet new people (we're really pretty nice over in our little corner here) and have fun.

No harm done really, you obviously aren't the first person to do it, or we wouldn't have canned reponses ready

Just realize, good art pieces, even just relativly 'simple' portrait pieces take anywhere from 2-7 days to do. Think about the last time you asked a total strange for 7 days of work.. for free! hehe

Trust me you get your money's worth

But doing amazing works of art takes a LOT of time and patience (Graver puts at LEAST 40 hours into each of his paintings), and even talented amateurs have to take time out of their day to do this (my chibis take 3-4 hours to sketch, scan, and color.)

So, like Snowlily said, your chances of getting drawn increase with the number of friends you make! Welcome to the art forums!

BD, before I start, what are your powers, personality, and do you want a particular pose? And do you have a full screenshot of your character just standing there?

I only draw when im sick or have been snoo snoo deprived

I have no visible powers besides the claws. His personality is very quiet, he's merciless to his enemies but will risk his own life to save someone he loves..... but he has no loved ones that he knows of becuase he has amnessia, and knows nothing of his past. This is the best I have of him just standing, but it's the wrong costume, and he wouldn't have his hands on his hips like that. If you need me to, I can take a screen shot real quick?

Sure, that would help... If he's merciless, does he have any archenemies? That might make it look better.

how would we know that he would risk his life for loved ones when he has amnesia and doesnt have any loved ones that he knows of? it could be assumed he would take such action...but how do we know he would?

as a background thing...perhaps he got amnesia because he was in the act of saving a loved one...?

just a nagging thought ~

Becuase he's become quite close to his contacts? ....maybe....I guess...... but he didn't exist before he got amnessia, so really he doesn't actually have amnessia, but since he didn't exist he doesn't remember anything, so he thinks he has amnessia!

His enamy is the evil Dr. Phsychoto(I think that's how it would be spelled) who is continueously trying to capture Blue to find out what makes the magical runes tattooed on him give him strength. I'm still kinda' still working on it, so I don't even know for sure....

...and we return to my point...how do we know he would risk his life for a loved one, which he apparently doesnt have?
