Bright Star Children's Home (Open, Just For Fun)
"Okay now..." Essex warned, Burning around her neck, Hal in her arms, and Muck and Guck beating on her legs with a plastic-sounding clacking. "In we go..."
Scooting the twins into the center room, she looked back at Blightlord, with a little smile. "We'll talk about that later, okay, sweetheart?" the android murmured as she herded the boy into the room as well.
It was then that she noticed Virelai awake and beginning to cry. She set down Hal on the couch along with Burning and gave a warning look to Muck and Guck.
Something about the warning look made the twins feel like they really didn't want to push this...
"Lili?" Essex called out to the little carnivaller. "If you and Rosie would help me, I'd much appreciate it."
"You got it, Miss Essex!" Rosalind called out, and with a tiny poof of smoke, she was a tumbling, black-and-white ball of fur - a border collie puppy. Beginning to bark, she began herding children into the room happily.
Essex picked up Virelai and cradled the girl, patting her back soothingly to help ease her coughing. Nanites glowed around her in a calming aura as well.
"There there, now..." she murmured quietly. Essex's voice was young - but it had a comforting quality to it. "You're all right now..."

Muck and Guck glared at Essex's back before turning to Burning.
The boy clung to his 'cape' like a blanket as he stared down at them with angry eyes.
The twins stuck out their tongues and ran to Blightlord who was throwing more and more vials of colored water behind him in disgust.
"How on earth wiw I kiw him wiffout cywanide!"

Virelai groaned as she clung to her hat and revolver even tighter, shutting her eyes tightly to try and allay any further tears from leaking out. Her breathing, though erratic, quickly returned back to normal, though quite heavy and forced. She lay quietly in Essex's arms, letting out a pleased gurgle, then tilting her head back to her ear. "Thank you..." She whispered.
"You won't be killing anyone," Archlich said as he suddenly loomed over Blightlord. "And if you would stop playing with the chemistry sets..."
Archlich reached down and plucked the set from Blightlord's hands. With a snap of his fingers the chemistry set was back in its rightful place in a flash of blue light. Another snap of his fingers sent out a summons to everyone in the building. Regardless of where they were or what they wanted, they would all be teleported into the center room. Only Archlich, Essex, and the ones already in the room were exempt from this.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Virelai was ported in...straight in mid-air.
With a flail and a wail, she swung her arms around comically and then went SMACK against the floor.
Toulon skipped into the room, waving his wooden sword over his head, "Hyah hyah."
He leapt into the air, swinging the sword in a circling arc, and landed indian style on the rug. He didn't hit anybody, but he always thought it was a cool way to sit.
"Do you know oo I am?" said Blightlord. "And that was not a chemistwy set. Where's the acids, the-"
Burning chucked a small rock sized fireball at Blightlord, toppling him over.
Grime stifled a laugh as the boy frantically sat up, pulling the jagged cape from his face.
"Hey!"

It sounded like the fighting had settled down. Io cleaned up the Jacks and put them back into their bag which she put in her dress' pocket. She crawled out dragging her stained blanket and looked around, the fight had ended. She pulled out the crumpled papers and walked up to Essex, "Escuse me?" She said, "Papers." She held them up for Essex. They were the papers Brightstar needed to be filled out for a new drop off. The papers indicated she'd be picked up.
((I really don't know if I want to stick with Io. So I'm leaving an option for a decnet write out.))
Ani scowled as she saw some other girl mess her trap up. She was about to go over and give her a peice of her mind (and one of the band-aids she had, but that would've been later) when Miss Essex gathered them all up. Sticking her tounge out at nothing in particular, Ani dropped down, looking at Rosie she smirked and pulled out a motorized mouse. Winding it up, she sent it toward the puppy.
Stell thumped over to the others, half way there she flashed back into her human form mid-step and nearly fell. Catching heself in the air, Stell blinked at Virelai and skimmed to the young girl and patted her hand comfortingly, a glowing green shimmer passing between them as her touch imparted healing energies.

Hal looked sideways at Burning on the couch.
"Essex nice," he said. "Wife not so bad. You wike being awive?"

Moonscribe typed on thin air again. As he spelled out D-J-E-H-U-T-Y on an imaginary version of the electronic toy, objects nearby began levitating. Moonscribe smiled, and his oversized glasses flashed. "I weally no importance," he said happily.
Anna was startled by the sudden teleportation. "Wah! Ask before you do that!" She said crossly. Kathode caught site of the dog running around and took cover behind an piece of furniture, looking back out with her ears folded flat and tail bushed out.
Cobalt forgot about her brief exchange of fire with Toy when she saw Vanessa. The pigtailed girl walked over and sat down next to her, staring that her mechanical arm and comparing it to her own prosthetic left hand.
Seeing Rosalind, Naga released her toothy grip on Schizo's leg and dropped to the floor, where she began to chase the puppy around and mimic her barking.

I have a KoA in the Whitmoore Apts... you're second
0o0o take that take that, lol
Schizo's leg had a few drops of rainbow colored blood on it from Naga's teeth. He grinned, and began dripping it on the floor, which started to release an odd sort of purple smoke.
Kaos and Static appeared in the room. They glared at each other for a moment, then went their seperate ways.
Meanwhile Radeator appeared and subsequently cooked the carrots and granola bars. "Mmm toast! Just like cheynobvilyvle
Archlich sighed and drew a quick rune in the air, sending a rush of healing magic into Schizo.
"Now then, everyone take a seat," Archlich said, looking out over the group.
Toy and Ghoul were already sitting and watching intently. They remembered seeing Archlich like this before and it could get reaaaallly entertaining.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Anna sat down with her knees pull up and head supported by her hands beneath her chin. Her lizardly tail swished on the floor behind her, signalling impatience.
Kathode ignored the wind up mouse that zipped by and kept an eye out for Rosalind.
Naga stopped chasing Rosalind and kneeled down, sitting on her haunches as her legs didn't allow her to sit cross-legged like the other children. She looked up at Archlich with inquisitive eyes.
Suddenly a small blond haired boy in a red costume ran through the door and into the house. Super strong, nearly invincible and fast he quickly ran around the house at super speed, handing Archlich his papers and sitting down with the other kids. "Heheheh. Fast fast smash smash."
"I hate Metas."Kaos smlied. "Henchmen, use the molecular speed modulator on this buffoon!"
Static smiled and ran aruond in circles, before landing on the carpet and shocking it and anyone on it.
This was really not going well for Virelai. Abandoned by her parents, woke up to the brunt effects of her achalasia, rolling off the sofa to smack into the ground, torn out of a comforting grasp and fallen down from about five feet above the floor, and now being a water-based naiad getting jolted with electricity.
She writhed on the ground in agony, her entire body lit up as if straight out of a cartoon, her skeleton brightly showing from inside. Though as quiet as always, refusing to wail, whimpering could very, very easily be heard from anywhere in the room.
A burnt smell started to fill the room.
Io was trying to give the badly crumpled papers to Essex who was obviously busy. She tried her best only to suddenly be shocked by Static. She fell backwards and convulsed for a moment and then slowly got up to find the papers starting to burn. She freaked out and pounded the fire out. She looked at the trashed papers and started to cry. She glared at the source of the attack through her tears and whipped out a plastic sword. She got up and charged at him, "STUPID BOYS!" She screamed as she started pounding the source of the attack relentless through her tears. Her papers had been almost destroyed and now mother and the care takers would be angry and it was all his fault.
But the electricity fizzled as soon as it had begun. Essex scooped up Virelai, quickly charging a nanite pulse around the child.
"Let's everyone settle down now." she said, her soothing voice projecting over the group of children.
"...I am Miss Essex. If you can't say that, you can call me Essie or Ess. This house belongs to me and Mr. Archlich who is right there. We both are here to help you grow up strong, and have fun, okay?"
She smiled comfortingly, rocking Virelai in her arms.
"So let's all introduce ourselves, okay?" she asked.
Rosalind came skidding into the room, chasing after the metal mouse and nearly smashing right into Naga with a loud yelp.
Nessie, on the other hand, seemed at first to ignore Cobalt - but when she began comparing their robotic arms, she turned to stare at the girl.
"...I'm ...Nessie." the girl said in a voice just barely loud enough to hear.
Japancakes.

"EEEWWW," Toulon plugged his nose, "What's that smell?"
He looked around, he felt the jolt, but the numbness faded quickly. If anyone really notice, he didn't have a single scar on him. He tapped the handle of his wooden sword against his forehead, and chuckled.
"I'm Cobalt." She chirped in response to Nessie. "Your arm is so neat, who made it?"
((Edited to add in a portion of Essex's post))
"Alan, I want you on your best behavior. I know I dont have to say that, but I will anyway. Its what mothers do," Alan Richter's mother held her son's hand as they stepped to the front doors of the Academy.
Alan nodded his head matter-of-factly and rolled his eyes, "Of course, mother."
A fly buzzed annoyingly around Alan until it decided to land on the side of his green face. Alan slapped it away and ust for good measure, lightly tapped his face on both sides. His curly white locs blew in the wind above the rest of his leafy-green skinned body. His glasses had slid down his nose a little and he reached up to adjust them.
Suddenly a small blond haired boy in a red costume ran through the door and into the house. Alan, a boy of just five, looked up at his mother with eager eyes.
"You already know my answer to that," she said.
Alan frowned at the answer he knew was coming and sulked the rest of the way to the front door. His mother met with Essex for a brief moment to remind her of the meeting they had had the previous day, where all the preliminaries had been taken care of. She returned to Alan, who she had left at the front door and kissed him goodbye.
"I love you Allie, I'll see you soon, ok," the mother spoke cheerily to her son.
"Mother, please. You speak to me as if I am a child," he was annunciated, but slow.
This raised a brow from the mother, but she smiled nonetheless, "Lest you forget," she said and ruffled his hair, "Have fun, sweetie"
Alan looked back into the building and walked to the living room. He had had an itch in his back since the start of the morning, but knew if he scratched it, his mother would have him in a different change of close instantly. He took the mother-free opportunity to relieve himself. Once he had finished he looked himself over. He had a small black button up tucked into black slacks. Over the shirt, he wore a red jacket that was lined with black along the zipper and cuffs to mate his red boots.
Alan was escorted into the living room and taken aback by when he saw everyone.
"Iwogical. Simply Illogical," he adjusted his glasses and corrected himself.
"Alan Richter. Pwee...Pleased to meet you," the young boy of five reached up to shake her hand.
Virelai sniffled once again, clinging her hat over her face to try and hide, burying her body into Essex's shoulder. She tried to bury her bright eyes and blue face under the patched hat, trying to hide her smoking scent from the others...but only the former was possible. She still stunk from the electric escapade.
"Alan Richter. Pwee...Pleased to meet you," She heard.
She shivered in Essex's arms. Right now, she had had enough of other people's antics. She just...wanted to be left alone.
But something tugged inside of her. Surely...not all people could be bad, could they?
Virelai lifted her cowboy hat up from covering her eyes and looked down at the green-skinned boy, her own bright, scarred eyes staring out from blue skin at him.
At least this one was polite. He was likely introducing himself to Essex, and she was too high to meet his hand, but why not see if she could make a friend while she was here.
"...I'm Virelai." She said simply, adjusting the eyepatch over her right eye.
((Excuse my impatients))
Io heard the voice and looked around for the source. She got up and stepped carefully on her rug burned knee. She looked for her assailant and couldn't spott hem before Essex herded her to the room with everyone else. She looked around and walked up and found a seat. Her knee hurt and she noticed the food was all sorts of healthy stuff. She frowned. She knew it was good for her and it would let her grow up to be a big and strong assassain, but still...
Starting your day with two big disappointments Io was upset. She put the papers on the table and noticed that she had slightly crinkled them and set about trying to straighten them so the caretaker wouldn't be mad. This was going to be a bad, bad day. She turned around to see the fight starting all over the place and decided it might be a good idea to wait them out.
Io crawled under the table and stopped, reached up and grabbed a juice box and then crawled back into hiding. She reached into her cat shaped back pack and pulled out her bag of jacks and threw them about herself to slow any of the many attackers down. ((In the great traditon of the KoA, always put down your caltrops first )) She then pulled out a small blanket and set it down to sit on and cuddle to releave her pent up sadness. She poked the top of the juice box and spilled a bit on her blanket and held back a few tears as she tried to dry it, today was going to be a bad day. She sucked on the juice box and stuck out her tounge, Grape. A very, very bad day.
