It seems a bit tougher to navigate than the old site, but it certainly does look nice. The little flash animation of the picture being inked and colored in the corner is neat.
Also, it has free art contests! So that instantly makes the new site better. 
Like others have said, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you and Graver can come up with together.

Myself, I actually want to ask ... WHY? Why Freedom? I don't HAVE any of my 'good' toons on Freedom for a costume contest.
Why not the Test Server, so we can actually have a fair contest? I would imagine that most folks 'best' toons require a cape - which is something you can't just up and recreate on a new server if you don't happen to be ON that server for the contest.
Why not have individual server contests to narrow the field to semi-finalists, and then have those copied over to the Test server for a main prize event? I know that's a little work, but hey - it's not fair to a lot of folks who just don't have the time or friends online to help them get the toon they want, to participate only on one server.

Hmm, the only page that the 'Draw' movie should start all over on is the Main page. Throughout the rest of the site though, only the end of the movie should load, with just the option to 'ReDraw'. If anyone else is experiencing a repetitive 'Draw' movie every time on several pages other than the Main page, please let us know.
As for the CC, we initially chose Freedom because it is our home server that we are familiar with. And with only the two of us judging it would be quite a long event to have CC's on all the servers back to back lol. The Test Server however, does sound like a much better idea. Thank you for that suggestion! We'd just have to make sure the Test Server was actually available that night, and also post instructions for those who may not know how to copy their toons over.
EDIT: For now, the venue will remain undetermined until we've discussed it further.

Eh, "most" but not "all." One I'd like does need one, but is on another server. Fortunately, the one I want on Freedom doesn't need a cape. High enough level for one, yes, but not needed.
Still, we don't know if they're planning on going through the servers or not, one ever other month or some such. Which would, despite the extra work, probably generate *more* buzz for them than a bunch of semifinalists, then transferring to test...

Say darkjedi, you know I hear that there's a certain wife of a certain artist who still does not have any artwork of her characters. I'm sure that wife might like to see a 3D version of her toon. Perhaps you know of someone that could do just that? I'm sure that wife would be thankful for it, and it would be a nice lovely introduction gesture. Not that it would assure a collabo, but at least said wife would have an illustration of her character.
(Monkey makes more trouble...and thereby assuring that any commissioned artwork she requests from Gill, will have ink accidently spilled on it or mustasches draw on all her female toons )
Disclaimer: Monkey is just poking fun at Gill and drawing Lush's toons will have no effect on Gill but probably get you nice thank you from Lush

I would definitely be willing to wait the extra amount of time, to be able to have my Protector or Virtue toons judged, actually.
So I'll definitely be looking forward to what the judges say about it!
And besides, by sticking with Freedom, you're missing out on the other great ideas that lots of folks have had elsewhere!
(See, I'm just nudging because one of my Protector toons was called 'damn good' the other day by some random person waiting for the tram. I like that kinda thing.)

Hum, wait, you know, looking back on that, it might be best if Gill did the pencil work and I did the watercolor... yes, I think that's definitely what were gonna do 
And Gill, great redesign there. I liked the old design but the new one is even better. Great work! That and I like your new avatar as well. While it doesn't quite carry the same kind of name branding that your old one did, it is much more interesting to look at

Cerebrus, the drawing took much longer than the animation of course, but it was still pretty long. I'd have to guess about 2-3 hours or so. That whole movie is over 1000 frames.
