The Agency (Semi-open RP)
"Or we could drug her before she ever sees us and take it then, and then just bring both bodies back to a random location rather than having to fight the leader of the HeroCorps." Asuka said, dropping the girl.
"Ah but there lies the problem. Ms. Liberty did not rise to her position by... being lucky. I do not wish to waste the drug because her own training has allowed her to resist its effects. I would think as a properly trained assassin you would consider this, seeing as we are facing Statesman's own granddaughter." Blade was becoming irritated. He felt like he was working with a group of amatuers.
But he calmed himself with the thought that after this was through, they would all be dead anyway.

"At what point did I imply a single form of poison? I have easy access to several forms that can be put onto needles, and some that are gaseous," Asuka explained, "I think it would be an absolutely terrible idea to let her see our faces AT ALL given heroes tremendous tendency to have old memories blocked by external means unblocked. I should know, since it happened to me."
Ruby's hand twitched as he resisted the urge to take his sword and simply end Asuka now. But now... she may be needed in these next hours.
Instead, he nodded to Nictus who boredly threw a bolt of energy at Asuka. Rather than harm her, she found it impossible to see.
Shinji saw her head was completely surrounded by Nicti energy, the purple and black substance seeming alive.
A moment later, it dissipated.
"If you are so worried of her seeing us and somehow unblocking her mind, then this form of a blindfold should prove adequite. Now if that is all, Nictus has already sent the note."

"You try that again and I'll show you the business end of a quantum gun," Asuka spat, "She'll still be able to hear us, smell us. At least let me set up some traps at the entrance before she reaches the room. You need to have plans on top of plans and relying on us beating one of the most reknowned heroes in the WORLD as Plan A is simply folly. You seem to have strange priorities. On one hand you underestimate us, thinking us amateurs and incapable of performing simple tasks. On the other hand you have us going up against an A-List Vindicator! It's quite obvious you think we're expendable cannon fodder so what's the harm in having me set up my own traps that have worked on dozens of occasions?"
Ruby fought back a scowl as he said, "Do what you wish to prepare. She will be here within the next two hours."

"Are you positive she is comming? Its not like we kidnapped the president....I really think itll wind up being a group of chump [censored] heroes..."
"This one is a dear friend of Ms. Liberty," said Ruby. "She would not risk her friend's life by sending an inexperienced group, but would not call the entire Phalanx and Vindicators to rescue her."
"You humans are fools to form bonds with one another. All you truly create are exploitable weaknesses," said Nictus.

Asuka took out her cellphone and hit her speed dial.
"It's me. Set-up plan 45a, large building entryway, four traps," she said.
Not long after, a Tony's Terrific Tacos truck pulled up to the building and went to work. In a mere ten minutes the traps were set up.
They were sophisticated traps designed to respond to Ms. Liberty's DNA only. (OOC: The plans are broken down based on targets. 45 is the designation for Vindicators and "a" is the modifier for Ms. Liberty)
One was on the doorknob of the room itself, which was wired to the building's electrical system. If she touched it, she'd get an electric shock.
Two more were on the elevator and stairs. The elevator trap was simple: the elevator would stop for five minutes and gas would fill the car. If she tried to exit the elevator through the emergency exits, the car would simply drop. Since it was rigged to stop about four floors up, the drop would likely knock her out. The staircase had a slightly more advanced trap: the doors would lock and the entire stairway would fill with gas.
The doors would not lock, however, until she had been in the stairway for thirty seconds. As an added precaution, the staircase had been covered with oil, making them incredibly slick and, of course, flammable.
The gas itself was scentless and highly effective.
If she somehow made it to the floor right before the electric charged door were a series of dart launchers.
The fact that this took ten minutes for about eight guys to set up was beyond impressive. It was superhuman. Three of them had super-speed, one was a cyborg, and the other four were super-geniuses at electronics.
Spark looked as Viod gave him a nod to head to the warehouse. which they got there fairly fast. Once they were inside Spark took the chance of looking for traps. There had to be traps considering is was a magic sword and a freaky gem floating around. He checked the shelfs and tried listening for any lasers humming or trip bombs beeping. He looked for any symbals that might be for barriers, and any ancient artifacts that might seem out of place or produce any magical wards.
Then Firespark noticed a semingly large ancient boulder....and by ancient I mean encrypted. It looked as if it was for a ward to guard the Vault, but the languege looked like nothing he had ever seen. It wasn't an ancient languege, nor was it from any different species he knew from his realm. It may have been fake but he didn't want to take his chances....
((Erm... the warehouse was just a waiting place til Ms. Liberty came to catch them. Nothing in there, just an empty spot. I'll let you know when we head for the vault. I'll get her moving tomorrow.))

Nictus opened his eyes and nodded.
The Ruby Blade subvocalized the command to move into the vault to Void Brawler and FireSpark before drawing his sword.
Ms. Liberty would be here any moment now.
-----------------
Void heard the command and nodded to FireSpark, fading into the shadows. "Alright, The Back-Alley Brawler is out there, so we need to go around to the back door. Follow me."
He led him outside. They were a short distance from the Freedom Plaza.
They hurried to it, unseen by the passing heroes. Void came up to the back door, and saw the 'Authorized Personnel Only' sign.
He pulled the handle. Locked.
"Do you have a way in without busting down the door?" he whispered.

((OOC: I am such an idiot......))
"Don't ask me, the best I can think of is melting the lock......."
Void sighed. "Alright, go hide in those bushes."
When FireSpark was out of sight, Void faded from view, and knocked on the door.
A security guard grumbled as he was awoken by the knocking, and groggily walked over to the door.
He pushed it open. "Damn it Jake, if you can't remember yer keys you'll have to go in the front!"
He looked around.
"Jake?"
Void struck hard from behind, instantly knocking the guard out.
He dragged him into the bushes, away from view. He took a set of keys off his belt before saying, "C'mon, before they notice he's missing.
The two hurried inside.
They saw a long hallway, with multiple doors, and fledgeling heroes milling about.
Void whispered, "Alright, just act like you're a hero. Enough of 'em dress dark enough that you'll be fine."
He casually walked down the hall, and motioned for Spark to follow.
----------------------
Ms. Liberty crashed through the window, whirling on Asuka with a spin kick.

Shinji grabbed Ms. Liberty from behind and pile drived her head into the ground. "Ok....lets do this."
((If I'm not with Asuka I'll edit, cuz I forgot who I was supposed to be with anyway :P))
Or he tried to. As Shinji grabbed her, Ms. Liberty double elbowed him in the stomach, then whirled around with a heavy backhand.
Ruby silently stepped up next to her, sword drawn, and struck.
She spun to the side, crying out as a gash cut her side.
She delivered a swift punch that the assassin ducked under, but was knocked back as she forcefully side-kicked him back across the room.

Shinji rushed at her from behind and unleashed a barrage of kicks on her...
Ms. Liberty whirled around in time to be hit.
She staggered back, then leapt at Shinji with a flying side kick shouting, "Where did you hide her?!"

Shinji phased into the ground to narrowly avoid the attack..."Hide who?"
Ruby silently crept up behind her, and stabbed once more.
She turned at the last moment, the strike cutting a deeply along her arm.
She moved to back-hand him, and Ruby bent to avoid the strike.
He struck again, and she quickly blocked the flat of his blade with her arm.
He swung straight up, cutting another long wound.
She growled in anger and double palmed him, sending the assassin flying back.
She turned back on Shinji as he unphased, grabbing his hair and slamming him onto her knee.
"The woman you kidnapped and threatened to kill!"

Shinji, still playing dumb, "What the hell are you talking about!?"
"If you won't just answer..." She did a quick spin-kick to hid head, followed up by a palm strike to his stomach.

"Ow B****, I said I don't know." Shinji followed up with a backhand to the head and a rising knee to the chin. "Tryin to beat info outta me thats not even there is dumb as hell."
She easily caught his backhand with one fist, then grabbed his leg with the other, and twisted them, forcing Shinji into an embarassingly vulnerable position.
She began to slowly pull up on his leg and down on his arm, bending him backforward, when Blade struck again.
She leapt to the side, but her neck was still grazed.
He came at a slash down on her head, and she moved to catch the sword as it came down.
Ms. Liberty cried out, backing up, the skin on her hands sliced. She wouldn't be grabbing or throwing any more punches for a while...
