The Game (Open RP)
Experiment smacked his hand into his face.
"Damnit, don't waste these things. It won't work on the stone guardians. According to this "Benefactor", it will work on "The Obelisk." Meaning one. Plus, he said it was well guarded. According to most video games, these guys should be easy, and those two giant things will come to life, and we have to find one weakness to kill them."
Experiment, deciding to do the best he could, ran at one of the stone spearmen, next to a zombie Knight, and started his own swordfight, except, you know, spines to spears.
That is one of Experiment's little quirks. He always loved swordfights, and used his spines as swords in fights, instead of as organic knives.
He couldn't hurt the things, but he sure could keep them away from the others.
And, yet, Blind didn't seem to be doing anything just yet.
Apparently, all the players overestimated the statues, as the zombie knights and Experiment's weapons easily broke through the clay skin, and caused them to actually bleed.
Darkgun actually had the right idea, he fired the gun at one of the statues. At first, it did nothing, but about three seconds later, the section of the statue that was hit began to expand until it burst.
The deaths of these zombies caused the next eight to awaken...
(OOC: hehe, i don't think i ever said the guns ONLY worked on the obelisk )
...Experiment was dumbstruck,
He couldn't be wrong.
He was NEVER wrong...
How? How could the knights' weapons and his spines possibly break stone.... It was inconceivable.... It was impossible...
But it had happened. And he realized something...
Blind Messenger was right. He gave himself too much credit... He let the last round get to his head.
"Uh... Sorry about the gun thing." Experiment apologized to Darkgun. "I really didn't think that would work. It sounded to me like The Benefactor meant... Sorry."
Then, Experiment turned to the next 8.
This would probably be harder than two. But, most likely, they would go down the same way the others did.
But Experiment was wrong once. He didn't want to take a risk. But he didn't want to use the gun either. If it had a certain number of charges, they would need the guns to use on the Obelisk.
However, before Experiment 2.0 could make a plan of action, Blind Messenger stepped out of the shadows. His black cape flowing behind him, the Necromancer seemed to be prepared for anything... But Experiment noticed something...
Blind Messenger didn't have the same belt as he always wore.
That was how Experiment 2.0 had always discerned Blind Messenger from his decoy Lich. The Lich wore a belt, with some sort of obsidian jewel in it, while Blind wore a belt, with a multitude of small, metallic, jet black skulls.
This was obviously the Lich, but it had to be used for something.
Experiment didn't like to admit this of his enemy, but Blind Messenger was actually pretty intelligent. He could come up with things so fast, it surprised 2.0. He always used his powers, and those around him, to his advantage, which is how Blind normally beat Experiment, if he ever did.
However, Experiment had no idea what had gotten into Blind right now. His Lich ran into the center of all the statues, and... Stood there.
His most powerful minion, stood in the middile of a bunch of enemies, and didn't move.
Experiment had to wonder what was going on, but decided it best not to reveal to those around him the difference between Blind and his Lich. It could be helpful later.
"s'ok, no hard feelings" said darkgun. He saw one of the statues and fired at it and said "The benefactor screwed me over last time with my fire being useless, it had better work now."
Darkgun's fire blast (OOC: since you ARE using a gun in this round, i'd suggest you try to differentuate between your powers and the weapon) connected directly with one of the golems. The searing heat had a baking effect on the stone, causing it to turn brittle and crumble, leaving a pile of entrails on the ground.
Simultaneously, four statues converged on Dark Messenger('s lich) and brought their spears up, ready to savage him.
Meanwhile, the Circle of Thorns mage launched his fire balls, easily taking out another two of the statues.
"I have a bad feeling about this, its way too easy" said darkgun as he took out another golem with a quick fireball. "This better not come back and [censored] bite me in the face."
Blind Messenger, out in the shadows, as always, smiled.
This was exactly what he wanted. He said the last few words to the spell, and the Lich glowed black for a second.
Then, it pulled the four stone creatures around him into a black void, ripping them apart as they fell. As quickly as it appeared, it had left.
The Lich, falling through the void, would take ages to recreate now, since Blind had to pull it from the Void, so that was that power gone for a while.
But then he realized that he felt tremendously weak.
"...Did... Did that spell do this?" was all he managed, as he dropped to his knees in exhaustion.
With the death of the eight statues, the final set of ten sprang to life.
"Enough of this," the Circle of Thorns mage said under his breath.
He chanted a spell and launched a hellish blast of black death, killing half the remaining statues.
"I shall win this match!" the Tsoo enforcer cried, rushing past the remaining statues towards the top.
No sooner did he make it to the top than the final, unbelievably huge statues awaken. With one wide swing, the Tsoo enforcer was no more, and the players were in real trouble. Each statue had four arms, each with a menacing sword. Not to mentioned they appeared to be made of metal, and given their size, it had to be strong metal.
"Oh [censored]" yelled darkgun as he saw the giant stone. He volleyed a few flames at the giant monster, c canserving his gun ammo for later.
(( I believe there are two, metal creatures, and still about 5 small ones. ))
Experiment was astounded. He looked on at the giant, metal... Well, things was the best way to describe them. He wondered how they worked, wether by technology, magic, or some other reason.
But then realized that he did not care.
What he really cared about was making sure that there was some way to destroy them...
But, mainly, he just wanted to disable them.
If he could disable them, maybe he could find something useful that worked that could help him in either future events, or for some other reason.
Whatever it was, he needed to investigate these things.
But, for now, he would just run behind cover, firing spines at small, stone versions of them.
Two more of the stone statues fell to Experiment's spines, and the two gigantic guardians weren't even phased by the flames.
The Thorn mage took out the last three statues, and ducked behind a tree while the two large, metal statues descended the stairs, intent in their eyes...well, as far as he could tell, since their faces were frozen in a ferocious glare.
(OOC: Just to help move things along: What "ammo"? )
"well, apparently flames are useless. big [censored] suprise." said darkgun. He fired the gun at the giant stone rapidly, hoping to hit it in a critical locaton and get this whole thing over with. No such luck.
The gun did hit, several spread around seemed to have no effect, but two happened to hit part of one of the giant's thighs.
The area expanded, and exploded. Just like the statues, the giant metal statues were merely covered in a hard metal shell, harder than the lesser statues of course.
Experiment studied the large, metal killing machines. There had to be some way to disable them without destroying them. He looked around for any power sources, seeing none in plain sight. "Damn," he mumbled. "I need some sort of EMP device..."
Then, Experiment remembered something Blind had done to him at one point. The 'Spell of Disablement'. It had disabled Experiment 2.0's technology for a while, which meant it may disable this one.
"Hey, Blind!" 2.0 called, "Could you use that-"
Experiment then saw Blind Messenger, unconscious, slouched in a corner. Apparently, that Void spell had tired him out entirely.
"Well, damn." Was all Experiment said, turning back to the metal monstrosities.
"Hm... If we can somehow entirely freeze them... Maybe not freeze... Rust would work..." Experiment kept looking around. "However, we are either going to need a can of insta-rust, or a hell of a lot of water...."
Experiment looked up at the large weapons they wielded, and had a sudden thought. "Well, if there is no way to stop them, then maybe I can make them kill each other... But I want to try and stop them first." Experiment decided, stomping his foot down.
"...Weapon.... Rust.... Slow.... Freeze...." Experiment kept muttering words to himself which seemed important, then snapped his fingers. "Hm. If we can freeze their weapons somehow, then that fire guy can melt the weapons, ridding them of weapons, and pouring water all over them, perhaps causing enough rust to slow them down."
Experiment started scratching his head. "Hm... But what thing could we use to freeze their weapons? I know we have the Circle of Thorns mage, but I doubt he uses ice, Blind Messenger is out of it, fire boy can't melt unfrozen things yet, the guy playing a game of musical thugs can't freeze things, period...." Experiment started bashing himself in the head with his palm. "Think, 2.0, think! There must be something in this place that can freeze things..."
Experiment continued looking around, the gears in his head straining to come up with something. "Damn... Can't think of anything... Maybe...? ...No... Perhaps? ...No, where would I get the monkey? No..."
Experiment started pacing, as he usually did when stuck, however, in small rounds near a pillar he was hiding behind. "Freeze. Melt. Rust. Slow. Disable."
Then, he turned to everyone else. "Ok, people, someone give me an idea of something we can cover the weapon in to freeze it. Hurry. I really need some sort of example before I go insane."
(Edit: Damn, that was all me thinking of a plan on the spot.)
Then, Experiment saw part of one of the statues explode. He winced. "DAMNIT!" he shouted.
I need to get something useful from those statues, no matter what it takes. Experiment thought to himself, standing back for now, as a spine expanded from his arm, almost invisibly. He made sure he was prepared for any other shots that may destroy part of the statues, and prepared to shoot his grapple hook of a spine into the statue.
He decided that they must be controlled by something. Most likely, the Obelisk, but if not, he needed to find out what was. He was going to do whatever it took to find out what made these things work. And take it.
(OOC: You're taking a big leap here by assuming the statues are mechanical. They've been bleeding, the part of the metal statue blown off has been bleeding profusely and there's muscle tissue all over.)
(( OOC: Oh, this isn't MYSELF thinking this. Experiment 2.0, as a character, always preferred thinking that something was controlled by technology before magic. He is more the 'Everything has a logical explanation' kind of guy. Hence, you will see that he assumes everything is controlled by electronics when he first encounters something unless it breathes, or fires spells. And even that is a long shot. ))
While Experiment continued his pondering, the uninjured goliath began moving towards him.
Experiment, looking up, started pacing faster. "Think think think think think think..." The giant thing got closer. "Thinkthinkthinkthinkthink..." Closer... "THINKTHINKTHI-" Experiment stopped, realizing something. The guns had hurt the other one, and his was still in his pocket.
With a look of minor annoyance, he pulled it out, took aim quickly, and started firing at the head of the creature, and then, if he missed, started firing at the torso.
Three shots hit the head, but they were seemingly too far apart to intiate the effect the other had.
Two shots connected on the shoulder of the giant, causing it to bulge and explode, and fall uselessly to the ground.
"take him down!" yelled darkgun as he fired a few rounds into the giant stone monster.

(OOC: Sorry, but you need to specify which one and they're both metal, not stone.

darkgun looked at the guns and said "this is what in talkin 'bout. now, lets kick some stone [censored]." as he fired the gun at the obliesk
