I think you may want to test this. We just tested this again with a diff hero. We stood right infront of him with hide and stealth on. He has tactics and goggles on.

This is not a guess it was a live test.

He could not see us for the most part and when he could he lost sight of us or lost target on us and this was standing right next to him.

In the test server forum Castle clarified that IR Goggles only work 50% of the time, this check being refreshed every 10 seconds.

If you get someone who "rolls poorly", he may almost never get the benefit of IR Goggles, and if they do work, he may lose it on the next check, thus explaining the quick fade out.

3. If the Stalker has both hide and stealth you can stand right on the hero and he can not see you with goggles or tactics. If they have both goggles and tactics on they still can not see you if you have both hide and stealth on.

Here is how i think it works: It does not makes much sence that the secondary effect of a pool power plus a temp power would be able to penetrate the primary effect of a secondary power plus primary effect of a pool power.

In other words:

(1 Secondary set power's primary effect + 1 Pool Power Primary Effect) > (1 pool power secondary effect + 1 temp power's primary effect)

Actually, the issue (per Castle's post in the training room section) is that the +perception on Tactics is modified by the same percentage as the accuracy. In other words, Defenders with Tactics are going to be far better at seeing Stalkers than Scrappers with Tactics will be at seeing Stalkers.

Correct.

Tactics on a Defender will yield better +Perception than Tactics on a Controller.

Tactics on a Controller will yield better +Perception than Tactics on a Scrapper/Blaster/Tanker.

From Castle's example, a Scrapper with Tactics and IR Goggles will have an anti-Stealth range of about 700 yards. Unfortunately, Stalkers with Hide and Stealth will have a Stealth range of 900 yards.

Defenders with Tactics and IR Goggles have an anti-Stealth range of 930 yards. Thus, they will see Stalkers at the 30 yard mark and Scrappers will never see them (unless they add a third +Percep).

How do the Tanks get plus perception is it a epic power. I had a tank stalking me in RV while I was running hide/stealth and he had a good range on me I had to TP out of view all together to avoid him. He was on for about 6 hours and he saw me every time no problems. Sadly I have come to the conclusion that a tank that can take out my heavy robot then me is too much to chew. Wish I had some thing to counter him but its not in my power options lol.
