Tell me about it, but worth the time and effort. I didn't want to just jump in, I wanted to know everything and get a really good feel for story and effect and characters, think I have it now, well see when I start writing.

CHARACTER NAME: Kinetic Force (Carla Livelle)

SHORT DESCRIPTION: A young 20 year old mutant who rose from the ashes of the Rikti War and made her way into Paragon City. Her father was a formerly famous hero who went into hiding to raise his daughter quietly, and the Rikti war changed this with tragic results. It was during the war that her powers began to develop, and she arrived in Paragon City at the age of 18. Since then she's become quite famous as a mutant posterchild, showing people the good things about them.
Her power is the ability to absorb, store and focus any kinetic energy from around her. Bullets, fists, anything can fall uselessly from impact from her as its kinetic energy during movement is absorbed into her. She can then redirect this energy into, say, her fists, and give her attacks much more force.
Tall, slim Caucasian with dark red hair. Her eyes glow red as a side effect from the mutation. Carla has strong beliefs about the rightness of being a hero, and before enrolling as a student was able to be one full-time. Becoming a student has made both her life on and off duty difficult, as she has problems balancing the two, and feels responsible for those around her who get hurt by knowing her.

Life at I.U. starting getting a little rough once word got out that he was a meta after an incident in a club and he found his way to Paragon U. SHORT DESCRIPTION: Tall, slim, dressing in black frock clothing, a dark trenchcoat, formal boots. Dark hair swept back into a ponytail, sunglasses. Has a pentagram tattoo over his left eye, and blue sigils stiched into his trousers. He is not actually a student per se, but in fact is an operative from another dimension working at the behest of his deity. He is custodian of a magical artifact of Law, leant to MAGI, and kept in a secret chamber beneath the University library. Ms Binks is his Earth contact who is fully aware of his identity and mission. His classes allow him to llearn Earth culture and language, and to masquerade among the general population. He can magically read any written language [so long as its plain and not, for example, in code], and can understand any spoken language but can only speak in English. He hopes to learn to write English natively at some point.
He is actually a 50-year-old archmage, made youthful again via a magic potion, but his powers are diminished here [our mystical laws are vastly different than his home], and he hopes to integrate with the new system and increase his abilities.
He tends to have strokes of great luck, a side effect from contact with the artifact he guards, the Rod of Seven Parts. His speech patterns are verbose and eloquent, but dreadfully archaic. He affects no hero identity, but will only reveal vague details, for as an agent of Law he cannot lie directly. He can, however, be imaginatively misdirecting about such things.
