Chapter VII: Armageddon
-~Werehound~-
Werehound sat in his cage, with Manticore talking to him on the other side of the bars.
Do you know why you are here? asked Manticore.
No, said Werehound.
You are a villain, said Manticore. Villains must be punished.
What have I done wrong? asked Werehound.
Manticore paused. He turned around and pulled out a file from a file cabinet. Manticore began flipping through the papers in the file.
I cant find much, said Manticore. It says you fought against the Crey. But that isnt really a crime, in my opinion. And you also were involved in the disaster in Atlas Park.
I was not involved. I was just there, said Werehound. So were many others.
Manticore looked up from the papers.
You were also caught breaking and entering into Crey Industries, said Manticore.
Which you just said, isnt a crime, said Werehound.
True, said Manticore. What were you looking for in there?
Crey Industries built a power-draining device, said Werehound. They were going to set it off in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. Most likely to promote Paragon Protectors while they kill off all super-powers.
Manticore looked surprised.
How do you know all this? asked Manticore.
I found out through a friend, said Werehound.
Who? asked Manticore.
Radevil, said Werehound.
Shes on the most wanted list. She killed a hero and another heros mother, said Manticore.
It was an accident, said Werehound. She was drugged.
Manticore looked down at the papers.
You attacked several Longbow, said Manticore.
I needed to escape, said Werehound. I was under the rubble of a Tsoo base. I just wanted to be free.
Fair enough, said Manticore. But still guilty.
Werehound looked down at his feet and began to feel his body change. Slowly, he became more human. He became James Dean, once again.
What the, said Manticore. Who are you?
Im a werewolf. I cant control when my body changes yet, said James. My name is James Dean. I am a nuclear physicist. One day, there was an accident in Terra Volta. I rushed over to help, but got in a car accident. I swerved off Valor Bridge and washed ashore in the Rogue Isles. I was later bit by a werewolf.
Manticore began to write this information down in the files.
Is that enough? asked James.
-~Radevil~-
Radevil sat in the Rikti ship, hundreds of miles away from Earth.
Where are you taking me? asked Radevil.
The captain of the Rikti turned around and looked at Radevil.
I almost forgot you were here, said the Rikti. We need you. You provide the radiation we need to control the ship. We are going back to our home planet. We will return you to earth
someday, possibly. Not likely.
-~Figi~-
Help! screamed Figi as loud as she could.
The Vahizlok were taking Figi through the sewers.
Youll be at the doctor, soon, said one of the Mortificators.
Help! screamed Figi even louder, knowing where she is being taken.
Doctor Vahizlok is one of the most feared villains throughout Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, with the exception of Lord Recluse and his groupies.
The Vahizlok took her to a wall. They knocked on the wall, and the wall slowly opened to a secret passageway. As the Vahizlok carried Figi through, the passageway closed.
The Mortificator put Figi down on a table and strapped her down to the ground.
This wont hurt a bit, said the Mortificator as he pulled out a large butchers knife. A Cadaver injected Figi with a sedative.
Figi slowly began to fall asleep
-~Netherflare~-
Netherflare was taken to the Crey Industries tower in Steel Canyon. Hopkins escorted her to the top floor and into Countess Creys office. Once inside, Hopkins removed the handcuffs.
Netherflare sat in front of the Countesss desk as the Countess was tapping her fingernails on the desk.
So, started Netherflare.
Yes, so, smirked Countess Crey. You were caught breaking and entering.
Trying to stop your next diabolical plots, said Netherflare.
Did you know that Crey Industries recently got hold of your profile? asked Countess Crey.
What do you mean? asked Netherflare.
Everything you have ever done for the good of Paragon City, said Countess Crey.
Why would you get a hold of that? asked Netheflare.
Money makes the world go around, Netheflare, said Countess Crey with a wicked smile. With one push of a button, I can delete everything. I can rewrite it all, make you look not so heroic.
What good would that do? asked Netherflare.
Countess Crey began to type on her computer.
It says here that you have killed several citizens, taunted Countess Crey.
I did not, said Netherflare angrily.
You also robbed several banks, continued Countess Crey.
Netherflare jumped from her seat and launched herself over the desk. She tackled Countess Crey to the ground.
Police officers stormed in to the office and separated Netheflare from Countess Crey.
Arrest this criminal! Never let her see the light of day again! shouted Countess Crey as Netherflare was arrested and dragged out of the office.
-~Tribal Axe~-
The Nemesis giant teleported away with Tribal Axe in his hands. After what seemed like an hour of teleporting. They finally arrived at their destination.
It was in a deserted area, far away. It appeared to be a village that was burnt down. The Nemesis dropped Tribal Axe onto the ground. The Nemesis giant then disappeared again.
Tribal Axe remembered this area
it was once his home until he was violently torn apart from his loved ones...he was in Sudan.
-~Cassandra Thine~-
Cassandra went back to her apartment for her first time in weeks. The last time she was here, the Tsoo kidnapped her. In the Tsoo base, she found a ring, and then there was an explosion. The Tsoo base collapsed, trapping Cassandra in the rubble for a day.
Crey Industries found Cassandra and promised to take care of her and hide from the Tsoo. Cassandra accepted when she had a vision that she would be reunited with her daughter if she did so. The reunion was short as the Wyvern invaded the Crey Industries tower.
Cassandra managed to escape, although it took her a while to find out where she is. Alas, she is home.
Cassandra lay down on her bed when she had a series of visions. In the vision, there were screams as a fiery hand rose out of the ground. Then there was a vision of an innocent girl in jail. There was a third vision of another girl in danger. A fourth vision displayed a ball of light. A fifth and final vision displayed an invasion.
Cassandra began to panic. She had bad visions before, but never this many. She grabbed her coat and rushed out to the Paragon City Police Department in Kings Row.
It was a cold night, but that did not bother Cassandra, who seemed to get warmth from the ring that she found. She rushed inside the Police Department to find Blue Steel.
Blue Steel, said Cassandra. My name is Cassandra Thine. I had a few visions that I think you may want to know about.
What do you mean? asked Blue Steel.
There will be an, started Cassandra as there was a loud explosion.
Cassandra and Blue Steel rushed outside to see a large arm of fire rising out of the ground. The hand smacked a building, instantly igniting it into a fiery blaze.
From the base of the arm, several figures emerged from an underground hole. The Circle of Thorns marched around the street with torches and followed by a wave of monsters.
All officers head to Kings Row immediately. We need all heroes, said Blue Steel into a radio.
The radio clicked.
No can do, captain, said the voice on the radio, They are all busy tonight or out of contact.
-~NeoRadiation~-
NeoRadiation was tied up in Oranbega after the Circle of Thorns has left to destroy the city, and he was helpless. He couldnt do anything to save Paragon City.
A Circle of Thorns guardian wearing a long robe and hood approached NeoRadiation.
Hello, NeoRadiation, said the guardian.
What do you want? asked NeoRadiation angrily.
To free you, said the guardian.
The mage let NeoRadiation free.
Why? asked NeoRadiation.
The guardian took of his hood. It was a hero.
My name is Mesmorizer and I am here to rescue you, said the hero. We need to get out of here.
Mesmorizer and NeoRadiation looked for an exit but couldnt find one.
A swarm of Behemoth monsters ran at the two heroes.
Run! shouted NeoRadiation as he ran towards a portal.
Through here! screamed NeoRadiation.
NeoRadiation stood in front of the portal as Mesmorizer ran towards him. A blast of fire launched at Mesmorizer, striking her in the stomach and knocking her down to the ground.
Go without me, said Mesmorizer as she fell unconscious.
NeoRadiation leapt into the portal and vanished.
-~Surgetron~-
Surgetron had been taken by the Malta agents and assigned a difficult task. They have strapped a bomb to his chest and ordered him to create new Malta titan robots or they will detonate the bomb.
After four hours of working, Surgetron designed the prototype for the first robot.
Is this good enough? asked Surgetron to the Malta agents.
Perfect, now build more and more, said the Malta agent.
The door swung open as four Circle of Thorn mages barged in. They killed the Malta agent and began to attack Surgetron.
Surgetron shot them with high voltage bolts of electricity until they fell to the ground, paralyzed.
Surgetron quickly took of the bomb and stole the detonator from the Malta agents body. He began to run out of the building as a Behemoth monster approached him. Surgetron threw the bomb at the Behemoth monster and ran out of the building between its legs. Once safely outside, he detonated the bomb, blowing up the Malta building.
He looked around him; it was a war zone as burning buildings began to collapse throughout Founders Falls.
-~Silent Spy~-
Silent Spy stood face to face with her arch-enemies, Swiftblade and Mei Kyoujin, and now Kaze Kariudo. The white tattoos all over her body burnt her skin.
Silent Spy, how wonderful it is to see you again, said Swiftblade. You may be wondering what we want with you.
Yes, said Silent Spy.
We want you to try on this ring, said Swiftblade as he picked up a box.
Silent Spy knew exactly what he was talking about.
We thought we lost the ring in our incident in the Tsoo base, but we managed to recover it, said Mei Kyoujin.
Silent Spy laughed.
What is so funny? asked Kaze Kariudo.
She doesnt understand what is going to happen to her, said Swiftblade. Do you remember this ring, Silent Spy?
Swiftblade opened up the box, revealing the contents to her. Silent Spy laughed even harder.
What ring? laughed Silent Spy.
Swiftblade looked confused and panicked as he looked inside the empty box.
Its gone! shouted Swiftblade as Silent Spy began to hysterically laugh.
Find it! shouted Swiftblade as Kaze Kariudo and Mei Kyoujin teleported away.
You know where it is, dont you? asked Swiftblade.
Yes, said Silent Spy.

Chapter VIII: A Call for Heroes
-~Surgetron~-
Surgetron began to fight off the Circle of Thorns in Founders Falls. He fought his way to Williams Square, where there was a large army of the Circle of Thorns. Fighting them off was Numina, Infernal and a Freedom Corps agent.
Infernal was the main fighter, with Numina aiding him when needed. The Freedom Corps agent stood next to Numina, protecting her.
Help us, said Numina to Surgetron.
Surgetron blasted bolts of lightning and electricity at the Circle of Thorns. In the distance, Surgetron spotted a portal.
Infernal, get to that portal and destroy it, said Surgetron.
Infernal ran threw the mob of the Circle of Thorns and charged at the portal. He swung at it, destroying it instantly. After that, the Circle of Thorns were cleared from Founders Falls.
Numinas cell phone rang as she quickly answered it.
Hello? asked Numina. Numina talked on the phone and then hung up.
That was Sister Psyche, started Numina. The Circle of Thorns has taken over Paragon City entirely. Infernal, head to Talos Island and check on Citadel and Luminary.
Numina turned to Surgetron.
I need you to come with me to Dark Astoria, said Numina.
Numina and Surgetron flew off to Dark Astoria.
Why are we here? asked Surgetron as they walked through the cemetery in Dark Astoria.
We need help, said Numina.
Numina concentrated in the middle of the cemetery. Some of the tombstones lit up. Then, they all dimmed except for one.
That one is a hero, said Numina.
Surgetron looked at the name engraved on the tombstone, but couldnt recognize it.
Never heard of her, said Surgetron.
She was killed, said Numina. The tombstone shook as a body began to rise out of the ground.
You can bring the dead back to life? asked Surgetron.
Very few, said Numina. This one is an exception.
The body completely rose out of the ground and floated in the air. Slowly, the woman landed on the ground.
Hello, Phantoma Storm.
-~NeoRadiation~-
NeoRadiation was tossed out of the portal in Croatoa. NeoRadiation quickly destroyed the portal and looked around.
The Cabal, Fir Bolg, Red Caps and the Tubatha all fought side by side, for the first time, defending Croatoa from the Circle of Thorns.
The Circle of Thorns were eliminated from Croatoa.
You fought together, side by side, said NeoRadiation in awe.
Its not their territory, said one of the Cabal.
Well, the rest of Paragon City is not their territory either, said NeoRadiation. Can you guys help the rest of the city?
We were only defending our own territory, said a Red Cap.
Its not about possession, its about whats right, said one of the Cabal.
Since when have we ever done the right thing? asked one of the Cabal.
It doesnt matter, interrupted a voice.
NeoRadiation turned around and saw War Witch.
We need to hurry, said War Witch. And if you want to help us, follow us.
War Witch and NeoRadiation flew towards the Green Line tracks, followed by a few Cabal.
Its a start, said War Witch.
-~Kaze Kariudo~-
Kaze Kariudo searched through the streets of Kings Row, looking for a ring.
He spotted a woman hiding in a back alley. There was a dark-purple glow from her finger.
Hand over the ring, said Kaze Kariudo.
No, said the woman.
Kaze Kariudo approached her. Suddenly, there was an explosion, followed by darkness. Kaze Kariudo felt himself be lifted off the ground and tossed through the air. He was higher then ever imaginable as he quickly fell to the ground.
He landed in the palm of a gigantic fiery hand. He began to set on fire as the hand tossed him down the ground, burning to his slow and painful death
-~Surgetron~-
We need to hurry now, said Numina as she lead Surgetron and Phantoma Storm out of Dark Astoria and back to Talos Island.
Thank you for bringing me back, Numina, said Phantoma Storm.
Youre welcome, said Numina. But now there is a bigger danger. Follow me.
Numina, Surgetron and Phantoma Storm flew to the Green Line, where Infernal, Luminary and Citadel were resting after what appeared to be a difficult battle.
Hello, Numina, said Citadel.
Hello, Citadel. Hello, Luminary, said Numina.
Sister Psyche is in danger, said Luminary.
Well, then, to Independence Port, said Numina.
Numina, Citadel, Luminary, Infernal, Surgetron and Phantoma Storm took the tram to Independence Port where they found Sister Psyche being surround by a large mob of Circle of Thorns, protecting herself in a small force field.
Infernal and Citadel jumped in the middle, attacking most of the mob. Phantoma Storm summoned thunder and lightning to strike the Circle of Thorns as Surgetron boosted the voltage of the electricity.
We need to get to Kings Row, its far worse there, said Sister Psyche once the Circle of Thorns were defeated.
The heroes headed to Kings Row to face their biggest challenge yet.
-~NeoRadiation~-
NeoRadiation and War Witch flew around Steel Canyon until they spotted Positron, with a bunch of defeated Circle of Thorns around him.
Head to Kings Row immediately, said Positron.
NeoRadiation and War Witch flew to Kings Row, followed by Positron.
-~Netherflare~-
Netherflare was taken to the Ziggurat Prison in Brickstown by two police officers.
Im a hero, honestly, said Netherflare.
Ya, well, we aint, said one of the officers as he showed her a Crey logo inside his jacket.
In that case, smirked Netherflare.
She felt her hands get warmer as she created a fireball in the palm of her hand. She tossed the fireball at the police officer, then brought it back like a boomerang and tossed it at the other officer.
Netherflare found a radio inside the police officers pocket, telling all heroes to get to Kings Row.
-~Cassandra Thine~-
That was weird, Cassandra thought as she sat in a back alley in Kings Row. She felt likely she changed, but she didnt know how or what she changed into.
She looked down at her new ring with the amethyst gem. It was glowing and was warm. Cassandra knew whatever was happening to her had something to do with the ring.
She left the back alley and looked around her. The Circle of Thorns was gone, but the massive fiery arm from the ground was still there, terrorizing the city. She turned around and saw a large group of heroes flying overhead, Cassandra followed them to get a closer look at the upcoming battle.
There were so many heroes, some she recognized such as Sister Psyche, Citadel, Infernal, Luminary, Numina, Positron and War Witch. There were many other heroes there as well.
The heroes began to fight against the vicious, fiery arm.
Sister Psyche created a force field around all of the heroes, including Cassandra, who was mistaken as a hero. As Sister Psyche flew up, the force field went up to, lifting Cassandra off the ground in a massive bubble of protection.
Cassandra felt the ring get warmer and it began to glow even brighter. There was a sudden flash that came from the ring, and Cassandra Thine was gone.
-~NeoRadiation~-
NeoRadiation stared at the place where a woman once was. Then there were screams as he turned back to the monster. The monster had completely grabbed onto the force field and held it in its hand like a ball, slowly pulling it under ground.
No! screamed Sister Psyche. I cant turn the force field off or the monster would just burn us to death!
NeoRadiation looked around him and noticed two friends he didnt even realize were there.
Netherflare! Surgetron! shouted NeoRadiation as he flew to them.
The three heroes were reunited as they were helplessly pulled into hell.
I have an idea! screamed Netherflare.
She launched fire around the sides of the force field, heating it.
Everyone, attack the walls of the force field, commanded Netherflare.
Blasts of attacks launched from all over the place inside the force field. Then, there was a sudden explosion. All the heroes were violently tossed out of the force field as it exploded inside the palm of the hand. Then, a ball of darkness circled the fiery arm, leaving behind a trail of dark gaseous energy. The energy created a typhoon around the monster, containing it.
Sister Psyche created a force field to contain the energy and the monster.
Destroy this force field! screamed Sister Psyche.
All the heroes attacked the force field until it exploded and the monster was gone. The ball of dark energy was still there, but then flew away.
That was weird, said NeoRadiation in awe.
The sun began to rise and he looked around. Much of the city has been destroyed, but it would rebuild, just as it always does
-~Cassandra Thine~-
Cassandra found herself back in her apartment, but didnt remember how she got there.
She looked outside her window to find that it was daytime and much of the city has been recovering. The buildings havent been rebuilt, but the city was cleaned up.
How did I get here? thought Cassandra. What is happening to me?
Cassandra felt the ring get warmer as it began to glow
