Book II
Chapter V: Tick, Tock, Boom

-~Silent Spy~-

Mom? asked Silent Spy.
Honey, said Cassandra Thine, Silent Spys mother. Its me.
I thought, started Silent Spy, I thought you were dead.

Silent Spy stuttered on her words in complete shock as she was once again reunited with her mother.

I was dead, said Cassandra, But I was brought back to life. Isnt that marvelous?

Silent Spy picked up the lighter she dropped and lit it again to see her mothers face.

How did you get brought back to life? asked Silent Spy.
I dont know, said Cassandra, I think it was this ring I found in the Tsoo base.

Cassandra pulled out a golden ring with an amethyst gem.
Silent Spy froze.

Jessica Thine was torn apart from her mother. The Circle of Thorns took her mother, while the Tsoo took care of Jessica. The Tsoo raised Jessica to be their greatest warrior. After years of practice, she mastered tae kwon do, a form a martial arts. She had also mastered Tsoo weaponry and the ability to recover her stamina and health in mid-combat. Finally, she trained herself to master the art of concealment. She was able to turn completely invisible and even intangible. When Jessica Thine was only fifteen years old, she was dubbed the title of the best Tsoo warrior, and the title of Silent Spy.

-~Radevil~-

Tribal Axe, Radevil, Netherflare, NeoRadiation and Figi stood in the middle of the hallway, panting.

Wheres the ninja guy? asked Radevil.
Kaze Kariudo? asked Figi, looking around her.
Crap, said Tribal Axe. He was here a minute ago.

There were footsteps.

We need to hide, said Radevil, Hurry.

Radevil, Figi, Netherflare, NeoRadiation and Tribal Axe quickly began to hide as Countess Creys bodyguard, Hopkins, walked down the hallway.

As Tribal Axe tried to look for a place to hide, he tripped and dropped his axe, creating a loud noise. Hopkins quickly ran towards Tribal Axe and called in several guards through his walkie-talkie.

No! shouted Radevil as she blasted a bolt of radiation at Hopkins.
Here we go again., said NeoRadiation as he jumped out of a room, ready for combat.

Figi, who tied herself to the ceiling with vines, quickly jumped on top of Hopkins shoulders and summoned vines to hold his feet down. She then pounded him with her fists of energy. Tribal Axe picked up his axe and swung it into Hopkins stomach.
A large group of Crey security guards ran down the hallway and started firing their guns randomly.
Figi threw a batch of seeds into the middle of the group, confusing the security guards.
Hopkins quickly picked up his walkie-talkie.

Attention, attention. All scientists in Med Lab Four, prepare to launch Phase Three immediately, said Hopkins as his voice echoed through the intercom in the building.

-~Surgetron-~

We need to get to Med Lab Four, said Surgetron to Werehound as the intercom played.

Surgetron knew the building well, after all, he used to work for Crey. Surgetron led Werehound to Med Lab Four.

Surgetron tried opening the door.

Its locked, said Surgetron.

Werehound grabbed the door handle and ripped out the door.

Now its not, said Werehound.

Surgetron and Werehound rushed inside. It was a massive room. In the center of the room was a large ball of radiation mass with a timer above it, counting down from nine-hundred seconds.

This doesnt look pretty., said Surgetron.

-~Silent Spy~-

Who is my mother? asked Silent Spy to her mentor, Shadowlife, commander of the Tsoo.
Your mother, started Shadowlife, Was a fortuneteller.
She was a fortuneteller? asked Silent Spy. By was, do you mean she is dead?
No, I do not think she is dead, said Shadowlife with a laugh.
Can I meet her? asked Silent Spy.
Well, said Shadowlife, unsure whether to allow this. He looked into Silent Spys hopeful eyes and could not say no. Of course you can meet her.

A man walked into the room.

Hello, Silent Spy., said the man. Hello, father.
Swiftblade, my son, what can I do for you? asked Shadowlife.

Swiftblade was the second best warrior in the Tsoo, trained especially in the art of swordsmanship.

I found something, in the woods, said Swiftblade as he pulled something small out of his pocket.

Silent Spy and Shadowife looked closer. It was a golden ring with a amethyst gem.

Silent Spy stood in the dark room with her mother. An intercom went off, announcing that Phase Three will begin shortly in Med Lab Four.

We need to get out of here, said Silent Spy.
Honey, said Cassandra. You go, Ill stay here.
Mom, said Silent Spy, I dont want to lose you again.
You wont.

Silent Spy nodded and quickly rushed out of the room and headed to Med Lab Four. She was mostly familiar with the building after several years of spying on them.

-~Radevil~-

Tribal Axe, Netherflare! shouted Radevil. You guys stay here and handle these guys while me, NeoRadiation and Figi head down Med Lab Four!

No problem, said Tribal Axe as he slammed his axe into Hopkins skull and turned towards Radevil to wave good-bye.

Radevil, Figi and NeoRadiation search for Med Lab Four, and found it rather quickly.
They went inside.
Surgetron and Werehound were already there.

There were eight-hundred and ten seconds left on the timer above the massive ball of radiation.

Has anyone here every dealt with radiation before?, asked Figi.

Radevil and NeoRadiation smacked Figi on their head.
Uh, duh., said Radevil and NeoRadiation sarcastically.
I used to be a nuclear physicist., said Werehound.
I built Paragon Protectors., said Surgetron.
Great, Im at a nerd convention, said Figi, All I do is grow plants.

What do we need to do?, asked Figi.
We need to extract the nucleus., said Werehound.
However, we cant do that without a risk of damaging the membrane., said Surgetron.
And the risk of splitting up an atom, thus resulting in a massive atomic bomb., said Radevil.
Not to mention the risk of a gamma ray release., said NeoRadiation.
Or even worse, a beta or alpha particle release, said Surgetron.
We can also risk alpha bombardment and positrons., said Werehound.
Dont mention Positron to me., said Radevil angrily.

So, what did all that mean?, asked Figi, confused.
It means we have to take out the center without damaging anything else. If we do, we can either blow up or get infected with radiation, said Radevil.
Super, said Figi.

Silent Spy barged into the room.

Whats going on? asked Silent Spy.
Oh, well, the bomb goes off in fifteen minutes and if we mess up, we die., said Surgetron.
Super, said Silent Spy. So how are we going to do this?

I can mold the membrane to prevent any radiation leaks, also allowing a passage way for the nucleus to be pulled out., said NeoRadiation.
However, we will have to be very careful with the nucleus, or we blow up., said Werehound.
I can manipulate the electrons, protons and neutrons in the nucleus to be extracted, and eventually pull out the full nucleus, said Radevil. But I have never done something like this, I have studied it, but never tried it. I only have used radiation as weaponry.
As I said, Im a nuclear physicist, so I can help you with that part., said Werehound. Ill guide you through it.

I will try to deactivate the timer., said Surgetron.

What should Figi and I do?, asked Silent Spy.
Make sure nobody is coming., said Werehound.
Great. Sounds exciting., said Figi.

Figi and Silent Spy stepped out into the hall.

Surgetron zapped the timer with electricity from his fingers and held the electricity to the timer, creating a circuit and pausing the timer.

Radevil began to pull the nucleus out of the cell.

After a few minutes, they finished their goal and deactivated the machine.

Help!, cried a voice.

Radevil, Surgetron, Werehound and NeoRadiation ran out into the hall.

-~Silent Spy~-

Silent Spy and Figi stared as Tribal Axe and Netherflare ran running down the hallway, screaming for help. Radevil, Surgetron, Werehound and NeoRadiation came out of the room as Tribal Axe and Netherflare ran past them.

Whats happening?, asked Silent Spy.

A group of Crey scientists ran after Netherflare and Tribal Axe and then fell to the ground, dead, with arrows in their back.

A large army of Wyvern agents came around the corner.

Kill them all., said the leader of the Wyvern agents.

The army charged at the heroes and villains.

Run!, screamed Silent Spy as she turned around, ready to run.

Arrows flew through the hallway, striking Radevil in her back. Radevil fell to the ground as the army ran closer to the group.

This is your mother, Silent Spy, said Shadowlife.

Shadowlife pointed to a woman, beaten up and chained to the wall.

Help me., said the woman.
What did you do to her? asked Silent Spy. Why is she being tortured.
She has some useful information, said Shadowlife.
So this is how you treat her? asked Silent Spy.
Well, yes, said Shadowlife.
Not under my watch, Silent Spy grabbed a dagger from Shadowlifes sheath and stabbed him in the chest, killing him.

Swiftblade entered the room.

What did you do? asked Swiftblade. He is our leader.
You are all evil. What am I doing here? muttered Silent Spy as she dropped her dagger.
Silent Spy, Im sorry, but I will have to kill you now, said Swiftblade.
What? asked Silent Spy.

Swiftblade drew his katana.

Die, said Swiftblade.

Swiftblade charged at Silent Spy with his katana. Silent Spy jumped on the blade of the katana and bounced off of it, kicking Swiftblade in the head. Swiftblade swung the katana around his body, scratching Silent Spy. He swung the katana at her head as she quickly kicked him in the groin and grabbed the blade. She then flipped the blade around her body, tossing Swiftblade across the room.

This isnt over, said Swiftblade as he pulled out a smoke bomb. He slammed the smoke bomb into the ground and disappeared.

Silent Spy quickly rescued her mother and started to a new life as a hero

The Wyvern agents over powered the heroes and villains. One of the agents shot Surgetron in the neck, knocking him to the ground. Werehound punched the agent in the chest, sending him across the room. Several Wyvern agents grabbed Werehound and pinned him down to the ground.

It was a massacre. Bodies fell to the ground or were taken away. Silent Spy fell to the floor after being hit in the back in the head with a weapon. She felt her body being lifted up and taken away when she went unconscious.

Chapter VI: Separated

-~Werehound~-

Werehound woke up.

Where am I? he thought as he looked around.

He was in a cage in what appeared to be a storage room. He grabbed onto the bars and tried to break them off, when he felt a shock go through his body.

Dont even try to break out or youll get zapped, said a voice.
Who are you? Where am I? asked Werehound.
You are on a Wyvern ship, said the voice. I am going to call for our leader now.

Who is the Wyvern? thought Werehound.

He slightly remembered the name mentioned before he was attacked and went unconscious. Did the Wyvern attack him?

A man walked into the storage room and looked at Werehound.

Hello., said the leader.

Werehound recognized the man as someone he has read about in the newspapers long ago. Before he became a werewolf

Hello, Manticore.

-~Netherflare~-

Netherflare woke up in a dark room. Her hands were handcuffed behind her back and her legs were tied together. A rope was tied around her waist and led up to the ceiling. She heard a loud voice coming from above her.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Netherflare! shouted the voice.

The ceiling of the room opened and a bright light shined down, blinding her. The rope was pulled up as she was lifted out of the room.

She looked around. She was on a stage in a back alley. Along the stage floor were several hatches. Netherflare looked at the audience. They were all evil villains she recognized. There were members of Rikti, the Lost, Crey Industries, the Tsoo, Circle of Thorns, Malta, Carnival of Shadows and even the Vahizlok were there.

Whats happening? asked Netherflare.
Quiet, you, said the man on the stage. Ladies and gentlemen, the bidding starts at two hundred dollars.

Netherflare gasped. She was being auctioned to villains!

Ill pay two-hundred and fifty dollars, said one of the Malta agents.
Four hundred! shouted a Rikti.
Five hundred, said one of the Crey workers, who Netherflare identified as Hopkins.

There was no reply.

No! shouted Netherflare.

She knows that Crey Industries will treat her the worst, excluding the Vahizlok, who will tear her body limb to limb.

Too bad, missy, said the man on the stage.

The man pushed Netherflare off the stage.
She fell to the ground, unable to pick herself up. She knew how to escape, she just had to use her powers.

She began to start a small fire in the palm of her hand, but it didnt work. There was a beeping noise and she felt a sharp pain in her wrists.

Dont try to use your powers. The handcuffs prevent that, said the auctioneer.

Hopkins picked up Netherflare and tossed her over his shoulder and handed the auctioneer five hundred dollars.

Ladies and gentlemen, the next auction is about to begin. I present to you, NeoRadiation!

NeoRadiation was pulled out of the stage floor.

Starting auction is at three hundred dollars, said the man.

Well take him for six hundred dollars, said one of the Circle of Thorns.

There was a silence.

Sold! To the Circle of Thorns! cried the auctioneer as he shoved NeoRadiation into one of the mages arms.
Now pay up, said the auctioneer.

The mage laughed and teleported away with NeoRadiation.

Damn, said the auctioneer.

-~Figi~-

Figi was quiet in the hatch, waiting to be auctioned off. She looked down at the ground, feeling guilty that this had happened to her and Radevil. She thought back to the night when the Wyvern attacked them in the Crey Industries

Radevil!, screamed Figi as Radevil fell to the ground with an arrow in her back.

Figi picked up Radevil and carried her around the corner. Radevil recovered quickly.

We need to hide, said Figi.

Five Wyvern agents turned the corner and grabbed Figi and Radevil. Radevil released radiation around her body, infecting the Wyvern agents around her. She then freed Figi from the Wyvern agents.

I have a plan, said Figi as she became invisible.
Radevil also became invisible and sat in the corner to hide.

A few minutes later, the battle was over. The Wyvern agents took Werehound away. Silent Spy, Netherflare, Surgetron, NeoRadiation and Tribal Axe were recognized as heroes, who were only defending themselves. Therefore, the Wyvern agents left their unconscious bodies in the middle of the hallway.

Radevil and Figi became visible again and tried to help the fallen heroes. However, Countess Crey and a man walked into the hallway at that exact moment.

Hello, said Countess Crey. You can put them up for auction, too.
Sure thing, said the man as he pulled out a tranquilizer gun. Good night.

He shot the tranquilizer at Figi and Radevil

That was the last she could remember.

She heard the auctioneers voice, Next up is the super-genius himself, Surgetron!

Figi heard a creaking noise coming from the room she is in.

Hello, said a cold voice.
Who are you? asked Figi.
Shhh, said the voice.
A cold hand covered Figis mouth. Another cold hand grabbed her by the arm and pulled her deeper into darkness.

Then, there was a dim light and a splash. It was cold and the water was disgusting.
She knew where she was. She was in the sewers.

She looked up at her captor. It was the Vahizlok.

Help! screamed Figi, in a high screeching voice.

-~Surgetron~-

Starting bids for him is one thousand dollars. He is a genius, after all, said the auctioneer.

Ill take him for one thousand, five hundred, said Hopkins.
Well take him for two thousand, said a Malta agent.
Three thousand, said Hopkins.
Four, said the Malta agent.

What does the Malta want with me? thought Surgetron.

Sold to the Malta! exclaimed the auctioneer.

Surgetron was tossed into the Malta group. The Malta agent gave the auctioneer four thousand dollars.

Next up is the villainous, Radevil! said the auctioneer. Starting bids at two hundred.

Three hundred, said a Rikti.
Three hundred and fifty, said Hopkins.
One thousand, said the Rikti.
Oh, whatever, you can take her, said Hopkins.

Radevil was thrown onto the ground as the Rikti handed over one thousand coins.

I said one thousand dollars, said the auctioneer.
You never said dollars, pointed out the Rikti and carried Radevil into the crowd.

The next bid is Tribal Axe, for dollars. Not coins, said the auctioneer. Starting at three hundred dollars.

Tribal Axe was pulled out of the stage and chained up to a pole.

There was a loud noise.

Everyone turned around to find several Nemesis giants walking down the alleyway.

Run! shouted the auctioneer.

-~Tribal Axe~-

The Nemesis giants marched down the alleyway as the crowd scattered in all directions.

Help!, screamed Tribal Axe. Help me!

The Rikti dragged Radevil past him as she screamed for help. There was complete chaos as the villains grabbed their new members and ran off. The Tsoo stopped at the stage and opened up a hatch. Silent Spy was pulled out.

Help! screamed Silent Spy as the Tsoo grabbed onto her. Help me!

Tribal Axe stared at Silent Spy as she began to cry. Suddenly, the Tsoo teleported away with her.

In an instant, he was alone. He was tied to the pole, unable to break free because of the handcuff technology.

Hello, screeched the Nemesis automaton giant. A massive hand reached out and picked up Tribal Axe as if he were a toy doll.

You are coming with me, said the Nemesis.

The Nemesis giant vanished with Tribal Axe.

-~Radevil~-

What do you want with me? asked Radevil.

Radevil was teleported outside of crashed Rikti ship on a deserted island.

We need energy, said the Rikti.

The Rikti carried Radevil inside the ship. There were many Rikti agents inside the ship, cheering as Radevil was brought in.

In the center of the ship was a tube that went down from the ceiling and into the floor. Radevil recognized it as a place to contain massive energy.

Radevil was thrown inside of the tube as her handcuffs were taken off.

Now, give us energy, said the Rikti.
Never, said Radevil.

The Rikti agent pulled out a stick and jabbed her with it, giving her a harsh shock.

Radevil released a massive amount of radiation as the tube closed. The lights inside the ship went on.

Away we go, said the Rikti captain.

The ship shook and began to lift off the ground. Within seconds, the ship was out of the earths atmosphere with Radevil trapped inside.

-~NeoRadiation~-

You will be a good sacrifice, said one of the mages.

NeoRadiation was hanging by his hands from the ceiling in an Oranbega chamber.

Sacrifice? asked NeoRadiation.
You heard correctly, snickered the mage. The mage pointed to a large portal.

Two behemoth monsters walked out of the chamber and guarded NeoRadiation as the mage began to perform a ritual in front of the portal. An even gigantic monster came from the portal.

NeoRadiation recognized this monster.
It was the Envoy of Shadows.

As you said, NeoRadiation, your powers come from magic, said the mage. Each time you use your radiation magic, we lose some magic of our own. That will end today.

-~Silent Spy~-

Silent Spy woke up to the disgusting smell of ink. She was chained to the wall, unable to move her arms or legs. Tsoo members were creating something in a cauldron. One Tsoo Sorcerer stood guard next to Silent Spy.

What is happening? asked Silent Spy.
Today will be a good day, said the Sorcerer. Today is the day you heroes will suffer and everybody else gets what we want.
What do you mean? asked Silent Spy.

There was a bright flash in front of Silent Spy. A man had teleported in front of her.

Its good to see you again, Silent Spy, said the man. Do you remember me?
No, said Silent Spy.
My name is Mei Kyoujin, said the man.
I thought you died in that Tsoo base, said Silent Spy.
As far as you heroes are concerned, I died, said Mei Kyoujin.

There was another blinding flash and another man appeared with several others.

Ah, Silent Spy, said the new man.
Do I know you? asked Silent Spy.
Kaze Kariudo, at your services, said the man.
You are behind all this? asked Silent Spy.
Oh, no. Im just here to watch, said Kaze Kariudo. When those monsters in the doors attacked, you ran off. Everybody just forgot about me. So I left, and found the Tsoo. Plotting your death.

The Tsoo at the cauldron grabbed two sticks. They dipped the sticks in the cauldron and pulled the sticks out. The tips of the sticks were covered in white-hot fiery ink.
They began to make tatoos on Silent Spys arms and body. As the sticks touched her body, she screamed in pain.
After several minutes of torture, they were done. There was another blinding flash.

Our leader is here, said the Sorcerer.

The Tsoo men, the Sorcerer, Kaze Kariudo and Mei Kyoujin bowed down to the flashing light as a man stepped out. The man walked towards Silent Spy and looked her straight in the eye.

Do you remember me? asked the man.
Swiftblade.
