It's definitely Legacy LTs.

It's easier to get them in the Virgil SF. Also, if you have Veluta open as a contact, go back to her. She might re-offer you the Legacy Chain arc that you can use to farm it due to a bug.

I recieved confirmation that wailer queen is attached to the 3rd held badge but only for villains. Did you ever get around to looking at the list Friggin?

Posted

Yeah, but I didn't think it was tied to the held badge, since I thought then it'd unlock for heroes, too.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Yes but probably never considered that without chain mez from sappers they might add something to COV only.

Posted

Definitely didn't.

So I guess it's chain held from Ice Thorn Casters.

Also got Wailer Queen, on CoV only, when I got the third held badge.

Turns out it WASN'T bugged, as previously posted.

CoH Main: Crimsom Cobra - 286 badges
CoV Main: High Lord Yamato - 187 badges

I still have no clue what's with Wolf Spider Enforcer, though. Both my characters who had Spider Smasher before the patch got it, but my MM who got it after the patch doesn't have the gladiator. Any ideas?

Posted

I actually just unlocked Wolf Spider Enforcer on my Brute by training up to level 16 for some reason.

Hm. I remember somebody mentioning about how he got it when training up to 15, come to think of it.

My MM's 14. I'll go run some missions and see, I guess.

It might have been level 15.

Try it out. Maybe it has to do with unlocking your first title?

Yup, you were right.

Wolf Spider Enforcer is earned by training up to 15, for villains.

Strange that heroes don't get a gladiator like this - or do they? I forget.

How do you get the hordeling lasher glad badge? I see lots of people with it but no one knows how they got it.

Posted

Killing hordelings. I'm not sure of the exact number.

They spawn around West and North Cap Au Diable.

Any idea what gives you the night widow gladiator?

blues:
Lyla Twilight
Ember's Rise

reds:
Gray Inferno
Leiura

I have no clue, but seeing most people have it, I'd say it's probably for killing blood widows or night widows.

What are these "gladiators" and what do they do (if anything)? I've gotten them but have no clue what they are.

Quoting Friggen Taser (Please lord, forgive me, I didn't want to type it out myself anymore)

Essentially, a gladiator match is like CoX Pokemon.

You choose which gladiators you want (they each cost a varied amount of points and you have a limit on how much you can spend). Then you enter a match and face off against your opponents' gladiators. You cannot access any of your powers during these matches. Your only means of attack are your gladiators. You can control them via a pop-up mastermind-like pet control window.

The last team standing wins the match.

There are 2 badges, which come with 2 other gladiators, you can earn by winning gladiator battles: Lanista (for 1 win) and Grand Lanista (for 10 rated wins).

We could really use a sticky thread that explains what Gladiators are :-/

I've already forgotten about most of you

Or, god forbid, have people read the arena help file.

It's on the battle terminals and your in-game menu, for crying out loud.

Posted

Vort,

1. That really wasn't necessary, "for crying out loud".
2. I don't go in the arena, so I wouldn't have been able to read about it there.
3. I never noticed it in the in game menus. I don't even remember seeing it in the printed game manual, although I could be wrong. Then again, it seems a lot of things never make it into the manual, or are only covered very briefly. They ought to make a FULL, online manual, but instead they choose to let us rely on these forums.

Posted

Well, there's a big 'HELP' section under your in-game menu. That's about as close as an online manual as you're about to get.

Night Widow is awarded with the Wiseguy badge. Not getting to level 30, which awards Fire Thorn Caster, but specifically the Wiseguy badge. Which also awards for getting to level 30, but there is a slight difference. Being that heroes can't get the Wiseguy badge.

I can't stand when people get mad at others for asking questions on a forum. That's what it's here for.

You get sick of it after someone asks the same damn question for about the tenth time.
