Hey, that's me! Hehe.
Yes, it is true that I have little idea how to do an ingame roleplay, and am most desperate for any advice.
Interestingly enough, this is also my first post on this board. Whee!
I would truely appriciate any advice any of you out there have. ^_^
I haven't hosted an in-game RP event before, and only was part of one small event some months back. But there is some advice on the subject in Burnsie's thread An IdiotÂ’s Guide to RP, if you look under the last section 2.2 Storylines.
Good luck on your event!

Ooo, thanks for the link. It's very helpful. ^_^
Anyone else got some advice? Anyone?
Write a precurser to the in-game RP. Let people know the tone and direction of what you're shooting for. Stuff like; are you 'arresting' or flat out maiming and killing; R-rated? PG-13? G? NC-17 : )
It's always nice to lay out some ground rules -- ie. no posting actions for other characters. "-Knocks John out-" but rather, characters post there own actions "-Gets knocked out-". Things like that. Get ALL of the little details out of the way FIRST, so that way when you get in-game to RP, you don't have to pause every 10 seconds to settle some discrpency.
I'll go dig up a link further back on this board that may help and then EDIT it into this post.

I would say that for my SG, it happened quite by mistake. Some of started writing a story, with different subjects, and it so happens that when we do get together, we start RP'ing according to the background the stories gives us. MIght help if you have a story writer or two in your gang.
Thank you both for your advice. I'm sure it will help us all greatly. ^_^
The thing is, see, she just doesn't have much experience with this sort of thing, setting up ingame roleplaying. To tell the truth, I don't know much about the planning and methods of it myself. Thus, if anyone and everyone can just start posting tips and advice here, we'd thank you kindly.
Heck, maybe we'll even be able to make a guide out of this if there ends up being enough info!
