If you had been natural level 45 at the end of the Raid, you'd have gotten a level 50 HO. Not usable until you were level 47 though.

Being SK'd is the only way you'd get a HO under level 50. It is generally called out by Raid Leaders for people to UN-SK when Hamidon is close to defeat.

Don't consider the HO you have as junk just yet. Keep it, use it, whatever....but keep in mind that you can combine the same HOs now. Your level 46 HO will be Red by the time you reach 50, but you will be able to have a chance at combining it.

They work for cone, just like normal range works for cone now. They removed the concept of "cone range" enhancements a while back. Before that change, the dmg/range would increase the range at which you could activate the cone, but would not extend the effects of the cone. So you could fire off a cone at something while it was actually out of range still.

I have not tested AoE. I would not expect them to work.

This comment puzzled me. Does the to-hit or defense bonus somehow carry over via Hasten? Or might this just mean the recharge portion of this HO? Please explain.

The explanation is... ignore that advice. Hasten used to have a Defense bonus. It no longer does. Hasten only accepts Recharge Reduction Enhancements these days. You are wasting an HO if you slot it in Hasten. Just 3 slot Hasten with regular Recharge Reduction SOs and you're all set.

Sorry, when I posted that Hasten actually did have a 5% defense bonus... and I was specifically doing an analysis for FF defenders, for whom the extra defense was very useful. (All this was pre-global defense nerf and pre-ED.) Now, like the man said, 3 recharge SOs are all you need.

Amazing how much things have changed in not even a year.

So when you say a 2-step one gives approx 50%. Is this more effective than having a SO? So like a HammiO with damage/acc is that equal to 1-Dam SO and 1-Acc SO?

All Hami's give SO-based values (and now with ED also).

Having say..3 dam/acc's in a power is equal to slotting 3 damage and 3 acc seperately. So you're correct in what you said abuot it being basically 1 of each SO but in a single slot.

Can Hami-O's be combined? IOW if I have 2 Membranes can I combine them to be a 50+ ? Or again to be a 50++?

You can combine them, but it's generally a waste of a HO for the smallish gain, and I'd strongly recommend against it. You're much better off slotting it somewhere else or trading it with someone for something you want.

Thanks man, I apprecaite the info. Yeah, it's not something you'd unless you had ALL your supers fully HO'd out.

Thank so much for the guide, but I have a BIG question.

I have heard that in some powers, slotting Hami can increase or decrease a function (such as to-hit buff, defense, etc.) that is not even a function of the power it is slotted in.

Is there any truth to this? If so what powers fit with what Hami-O's?

P.S. Anyone on Victory, if you have a low level Hami-O 'cause you were sidekicked at the time, and you just want to toss it away, send it my way! :-) I'm hooked on Hamis.

If it has like Tohit and defense debuff + acc (lyso) it doesnt reduce your accuracy or end or anything. Only the parts of it that works in a power will do it. Like Bitter Ice Blast can use ToHit debuff but not defense debuff so only the acc and Tohit will work, defense debuff is just ignored.

It might be worth mentioning that under ED, a level 50 character with three level 50 HOs will gain a 94.93% boost to two or three effects, while only getting a 97.23275% boost to one effect from three level 53 SOs.
