  1. Just did a few more of these.
I agree strongly with the idea that vaults should scale up in strength vs. higher level AVs.

"Higher perception" enemies are "less fun" enemies.

These feel much less "free" in comparison to mayhems. True, in life it's easier to destroy than to protect/build, but it so happens it's also less fun. These feel more like work.

I can hear someone all ready to lecture on the morality of heroes committing acts of mayhem, but save it. We play a game where we 'defeat' bad guys with swords, axes, fire, nukes, etc... we've been outside morality for a while now.

Blowing things up = more fun than running to a waypoint, waiting for the vandals to arrive there, and then 'defeating' the living hell out of them.

Someone above mentioned the 'Stop 30 Fir Bolgs from entering door' mish. It's among the most tedious mishes in the game. It's famous for being a pain. I'm sure there's people that just cant wait for it, but some people like Celine Dion, too.
Safeguard Mishes feel like several mini versions of the Stop 30 Fir Bolg mish overlayed onto one map.

I wanted to love these, but they need some re-thinking.

These just feel like they were thrown together:

--Map bugs in the sewer/office mish (which is an amazing idea, great work on that one)
--Arriving before vandals do at a waypoint
    --Waypoints that don't disappear
--One minion escaping means total failure
--Lack of accurate directions on what you should be doing
--Lack of timers for side missions
--Added mob perception feels like it was tacked on to bandaid some other problem that couldn't be fixed properly.
  2. Just pick a reason why some cars, mailboxes, and parking meters need to be destroyed for the most idealistically morally upright cause, and give us Hero Mayhem destruction.
  3. Just add me to the list of people horribly disappointed with the floppy waist cape 'trenchcoat'.
  4. These just don't feel nearly as fun as mayhems. Malta and Carnies in the same mish. Yay, fun.

Stopping the bank heist was neat, but then...

Street sweep and wait for some mayhem, run over there and street sweep them...

    Just not fun.

Shoulda went with a 'trash Arachnos neighborhood' retool of mayhems for heroes. This just isn't fun in this arrangement.

Yet a Super Group costume isn’t your creation, either. And yet people wear them. The counterpoint is, of course, that a Super Group costume is in addition to one’s normal costume, not instead of. There’s no such personal property in the base. We thought (on paper) that the “personal items” would do the trick, but it isn’t really the same thing, is it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

An SG costume is a public symbol of affiliation in a group or club. It's provides a sense of status and belonging. An SG Base does not fulfill these desires. They're apples and oranges.

If there were an Island of Bases, where players could travel down streets and avenues full of the various SG bases, then having the largest house on the block would fulfill members' desire for status in the public eye.
Unfortunately, such an island would be impractical in this setting (not to mention tacky and lame). The possession of a prestigious base is not immenently visible in a character's appearance, and therefore cannot contribute to that individual's perceived status.

A possible means of tying in an uber base to a player's appearance might be colorization or other customization of the SG name displayed over the toon's head.

"Oooh, you have a red SG name with extra stars! Nice, you must have the (fill in the blank base item).... ooooh."
  6. Thanks for implementing this change.

    PVP Zone Guide

Great info for new Heroes. Nice job.
  8. Great work on this. I hope the art of raiding will continue to evolve via similar efforts.
Thanks for the time you put into this guide.
  9. Thanks, did not notice this thread was an old thread revisited.

    Hasten profits greatly from Membrane

This comment puzzled me. Does the to-hit or defense bonus somehow carry over via Hasten? Or might this just mean the recharge portion of this HO? Please explain.

    Thanks!
  11. My request: Mind Over Body

I think it's Glow5_loop, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm?
I don't have a player on live with this power, only on test. However, my attempts to silence sounds on test has as of yet be unsuccessful. (it is past 5am, no sleep yet).

    Thanks.

    Badge Questions

    [ QUOTE ]
Question: Does the system keep track of rezzes? If yes, what's the possibility of a rez bage (similar to the heal badges)? For Dark Defenders with their group rez, you'll need a 100 Rez badge and a 1,000 Rez badge.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Rezzing afaik counts as 'healing', because I received a healing badge while I was rezzing a teammate. Not sure if the actual action of rezzing is counted somewhere. A good idea tho.
  13. Oddly, I cannot find the folder containing the .ogg files. I have perfomed a search through windows, which found the .ogg files from other games, but no CoH stuff.

I did not install to a custom directory. My game is functioning normally.

    What might I be missing?

    Thanks.
