If you are a relatively new player to COH, then this is a SG for you. The Academy (on Justice) is a place that welcomes all new players looking for a SG home with members that will help with missions and show them the ropes. If you a UBER MASTER of ALL THINGS, then the Academy is not for you. If you are new to COH, or have an Alt without a home and would like to team with mature players, then the Academy is for you.
We are mostly casual gamers and light role-players with other alts and main characters and our hope are that this SG will become a place where we can learn and train with good players. Remember, it's not ATs that make a good team - its good players that make a good team. We will have regularly scheduled events such as Trials and Task-Forces.
The Academy is affiliated with the League of Champions (also on the Justice Server) and has a symbiotic relationship with them. Although some Academy members take mentors from the League and plan on eventually "graduating" out of the Academy and into that group, other members rise through the ranks and stay in the Academy as instructors and take on the role of mentoring newer members.
Also, our affiliated SG has alts in the Academy and have designated every Wednesday as Alt day. So if are an altaholic and would like to test drive your (active) alts on a regular basis, consider enrolling them into The Academy.

Between the 2 groups we have about 90 players the reserves houses all heroes 1-25, the fist is everyone above that. the reserves have filled up pretty well, so limited space is available... they have 60+ members so we're looking at like 10 more people, n00blets from all walk of life are accepted and encouraged for that group, infact for the last few days I don't think I've run a mission with my main, between answering questions about the game and recruiting I've just had no time...
In the Fist however we have a lot of room, we're always on coalition chat so there are people to talk too, but we are greatly looking to increase the number of players we have in the upper division so that we have more people to team with. Anyone who is level 26 or above will be accepted at this point in time but inactive players will the get removed.

We are a cat themed group. Lite RP, and tend more to casual banter. All cat themed characters and protectors of kitties welcome. (we have a troll that protects cats in our ranks, and so we are quite flexible)
New members will be allowed to join the ALT SG of KOTP: 2nd Catalion first. After you have been on for a while or have gotten over 20th level, then we can discuss moving you into the main Kitties on the Prowl group if there is room. Yet with the various communications options we have, then you should certainly not feel out of touch with your fellow kitties.
We are also a cross server SG as well, but easily Virtue is our main SG and the cross server options have only been recently created. We are looking for leaders to head other servers as well with mains so they can help build up related groups on those servers. More on this can be discussed as you like, but contact me at Global Handle: @JeremyM.
Things we will strongly promote (and just short of require) in order to join:
1) Must be a cat theme, or tie into cats some how. We have a human sorcerer researching Egyptian cat magicks. We have a Troll that loves cats, and seeks to protect them. We have mouses that like to tease kitties. Something that basically fits that theme, but foremost we really want the solid cat people.
2) Must have a free global channel slot so you can join our SG Global Chat channel. (Keeps all server SGs in touch, and people running alts)
3) Must be willing to sign up for the main message boards, and check them from time to time. They do not get much heavy use, but we would like to encourage heavier use as much as possible. If you join, then please feel free to use them!
4) Must be willing to team up with fellow SG members first, and make attempts to help each other out. Even with ALT characters. (We do talk on Global Chat, and so this happens a lot)
5) Must be friendly and flexible, and willing to help defuse things. I want the atmosphere to be fun and relaxed for persons of *all* ages. Anything that can be done to promote this is what we want.
We don't currently have a Ventrillo or Team Speak server.

Other Info: It was a long time back when Forest Spirit, Extralight, and Red Photon met while doing battle on the streets of Paragon City. They created the legend that would become The Justice League of Paragon. Eventually, this group grew to accept heroes from all over the great area, but with it came the different dynamics that would one day cause the Legue to disperse. It was through a chance meeting between Extralight and Tiger Wasp, a young hero that was both created and saved by JLP in it's final day, that the Justice League was reborn.
