The Comic Shop (Open RPG)
Experiment 2.0 flew past the Wizard comic store everyday on his way to the Paragon City Bugle, to get the latest from John Ballard, but he never saw it's sign say anything but "CLOSED", but now, it had a new word...
"Open?" he said, "Hah! Who would have thought it? Someone opened the store!" He landed next to the door. "Hm... lets see... it isn't written on... and no spray... the sign inside must be actually turned! Now I can read some comic's other than those in the Times... Or the Bugle..." and then a voice came from his pocket...
"Yeah... hey, maybe you can get me some batteries while your at it... and some brainfood...."
"You don't eat..."
"It isn't for me, idiot..."
"Well then... HEY!"
(Just some info, Experiment has a very annoying computer sidekick, who is a PDA, and he will talk out when Experiment say's something that he doesn't agree with.)

Wally Wonderment spoke at length to Tony. This was going to be a great thing, Heroes helping Heroes, The kids love meeting heroes and getting things signed. He knew the subject of the Paragon Times article was going to come up but Wally knew the way to work that angle, If nothing else he was a promoter. " Listen Tony that article was written by Betty Dell, Kid failed to save her sister, so she has it out to ruin him. Mrs Dell blames him for her sisters death. If you were to ask Kid he'd tell you himself he would have traded places with her in a heartbeat. Mrs Dell won't have any of that, she and her family don't care that Kid Valor was not found guilty of any wrong doing, and that he is a proven hero of the city. I'm sure you'll be reading even more stories as she tried to drag him through the mud. Anyway Look Tony, just meet the Kid, trust me. He's the real deal. I'm gonna send over a box of Promo Items and you and the Kid can set up times or what not. Hows that sound. Great! Talk at you soon. Bye Wally hung up the phone and dialed up the delivery agent and had the promo box shipped and delivered within the hour.
(The box contained a life size cardboard figure of Kid Valor, a box of common Hero Clix figures of Kid Valor as a member of New Justice, 50 promo comic books title: New Justice #1 and two stacks of 5x7 and 3 8x10s of Kid Valor.)
Just as Tony was finishing looking at the contents of the box In walked Kid Valor and Tis.

Seith and Tis head over to Tony's Comic Book Store the place seem to be pretty vacant. They walk in seeing Tony, Seith heads over to him. Tis begins browsing the shelves checking out all the different titles they have.
" Hello, I'm Kid Valor you can call me Seith. You must be Tony." Seith extends his gloved hand and Shakes Tony's hand. "Glad to meet you, I was thinking I could sign a few autographs on the 5x7, and sign the 8x10 so you could auction them off for your favorite charity. We could do some Photo ops with the kids and for Wally, he loves that kinda stuff. Also I can come by and do the instore signing whenever you want. We just need to make a working schedual is all. Seith smiles.
"You got a nice store here Tony."
Seith looks around a bit and grabs a couple back issues of Defense League 47, 93. "Dude these are totally excellent issues, I'll take em." Calling over to Tis. " Hey did you find anything you want?" Tis holds up a couple dvds. "Yea." "Those also, She's my girl." Seith says with a huge smile on his face. While Tony rings them out, Tis baps Seith on the back of his head playfully with the dvds. Seith grins at her, then turns back to Tony. "Hey It was nice meeting you Tony, We'll talk more later."

The phone rings.
"Hello, I understand you are open for business?" When the female voice received an affirmative, she continued in a somewhat difficult-to-place accent. "I am looking for back issues of several comics, some collectible and some simply to fill out holes in my collection."
"Wizard seems to deal mainly in new titles, and I prefer to deal with small stores, not chains. Would it be possible to stop by later and speak to the owner?"
She listens to the voice at the other end of the line, smiling slightly. "No, no, not mainstream titles. I refuse to purchase anything from Marv-Hel since they fired their best creative talent and then tried to sue that software company. In fact, I auctioned several of their first-edition titles for legal funds to help fight them. I am interested in some more off-beat titles, sentimental."
"Very good, I will come by on the way to the office. Maybe an hour?"
Pandora was new to Paragon City and had only been in town for a few days. Those days had been eventful, but the empty hours remaining in the weekend stretched before her, promising fretfulness and boredom while she awaited words from the few people she knew here.
She was exploring the city, that's how she found the comic shop. It had been several years since she'd given up reading comics, lost somewhere between military service and long hours of night classes... Really, she couldn't quite remember why she'd stopped.
Curiousity drew her in, the attractive displays and posters snagged her interest and credit card, and it wasn't long before she approaching the checkout counter with a thick stack of current comics, two years of back issues for The Books of Magic and Witchblade, and a few graphic novels for good measure.
Her eyes were still roaming the shop, lest she overlook something else to spend her hard-earned money on. That's how she tripped over the Kid Valor promo display, spilling goods to the floor in a rain of toys and fluttering pages.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" She dropped her stack on the counter and began to clean up the mess.

The dual-persona cyborg, Haywire and Tim, were running down the street to go fight evil when Haywire noticed the new comic shop. "Can we go in? Please!" begged Haywire.
"Fine, if it'll keep me from having to listen to you all day. I find it hard to believe you were ever sane. Honestly, I...," Tim trailed off, as he noticed something inside the store. "They have heroclix! Thank heavens that influence is as good as cash around here."
"Actually, you need to pay quadruple the amount of influence to match real money," corrected Haywire.
They went inside, and as Haywire thumbed through a comic book, Tim purchased every heroclix he didn't have, including the $35 Freedom Phalanx set. "Who the hell's Kid Valor? His abilities are okay, so I'll see what I've got at home to complement his arsenal. Find anything you want Haywire?"
"Yeah, these," he showed the newest issues of Statesman, Back Alley Brawler, and Positron, along with another comic that Tim had never seen before, but knew the name. "This Kid Valor's comic isn't half bad. Hey, Kyle Rayner's one of the artists*."
They paid for their items, then realized that the owner was a hero. "Hey there, I'm Tim, he's Haywire, but our enemies call us Haywire. Who're you?"
*Kyle Rayner is the secret identity of one of the Green Lanterns. (the one that wasn't as good as the late Hal Jordan, but he was way better than Jon Stewart.) He's an artist for ads and comics and stuff.

(is the shop open yet? Oh well here gose just ignor this if the store isent open...)
Danimoth was reeding the paper when he saw that his shoo was untied. He kneeled down and supported his back against the nearby building and began tying his shoo. "over and under and... through the loop... and over... There all better." He stood up and on his way up he saw a display window with small action figures and posters you sould expect in a childs room. He entered the dore as it made a slight jingle signifieng that a customor (Danimoth) had intered the building. He walked around the room examening the Manga magazines and comic books when he notised his own comic book "they dont tell me about these things anymore" Danimoth whispered to himself. "So what will you be buying" Tony asked. "Oh im just looking" Said Danimoth still holding his own comic book in his hands. He finaly piked up the earlyiest issu of his comic and paid Tony. He felt pretty good about his latest purches "I might come here more often!" Shouted Danimoth as he left the store with his bounty...
Seith wound up staying longer then he expected. Even he was slightly wowed at the amount of Parents and Kids who showed up. He thought as he possed; *It's not like I'm the Stateman or anything.* As the line finally died down and a six pack of coke later, Seith was done. "Hey Tony, you were right it was a very good day." Tony smiled " Hey no problem Kid think I can get a pic." Seith laughed "Sure thing." He walked and Stood shaking hands with Tony as his wife took the picture. "Hey we'll have to do it again sometime." Tony said. "Yep But I have to go, maybe next time I'll bring my team. If you ever need anything Tony give me a call." Seith walked out of the comic shop activating his com and smiling. "Hello Beautiful, whats next on the schedual?"

Two Ton Tony is at it again folks. Tony's Bar and Grill Is doing very well for itself. Now Tony looks at the one area of business that he believes will be a novel Idea a Comic Book Shop. With action figures, games, and comics based on heroes of Paragon City. What will you buy ? lets begin our story.....
Tony is putting the last of the New Hero Clix Freedom Phalanx Figures in the Case This is an exclusive set that has all of the unique and everything from the Novice to the Veteran members of the team. Tony put a price tag of about $35.00 on set that he had here. It seems he was lucky and was shipped 20 complete sets. Tony was not the type of person to gouge the public on the price. The unique Statesman figure was going just for the $35.00 on the market. With each set just costing him about $15.00, Tony would clear $20.00 easy with each sale.
Jackie Tony's Wife "Tony are you cracked you bought this business with that profits we have from the Bar this will never work."
Tony " Look Jackie you said the Bar would never work the place is a hit, We have more business here than we have ever seen Sydney."
Jackie "Ok I'll give that. But what makes you think this will work?"
Tony "Look Love, I know The Wizard is a big chain here in the City, but what will sets us apart is that this place is owned by a Hero like themselves. You know as well as I do that the hero community sticks together. And beside I have just about every title you could think of in here even a few nice selection of Manga comic from Japan, We got games, and Cards the works. Now flip that sign over and stand back and watch."
Jackie Roller her eyes "Alright ya big goof if you think it will work. Remember when no one comes in at the end of the day I don't want to hear it."
(Let the fun Begin)
