Rescuing the rescuers
Sam nudged Unix's face with his nose willing her to get up. He did not understand why she would not move but he felt sound. Licking her face seemed to do no good either.
((Whew, I thought the thread had died there for a bit.))

Things were going bad, very bad indeed. Cocotte was stunned and trying to figure out which way was the bad guy, and he thought he just saw Unix thunder face first into the floor. In addition, the rest of the Hellions seemed far too organized for a team of heroes that had just gotten together.
Time to do something about this
With a quick punch to the head, the shotgun-wielding Hellion decided to take advantage of someone that really wasn't interested in fighting back and retreated, loading the shotgun as he backed up.
Cocotte reached into his pockets and pulled out a bunch of yellow capsules. Smashing them in his hands, everything seemed to slow down. He jumped into the middle of the largest group of remaining Hellions and twisted. Time stopped for a moment and an ominous howling seemed to fill the air. All of the hellions froze, their heads tilted back and their mouths open in a silent scream as a part of their soul was stolen from them and drifted towards Cocotte. Mentally twisting again, he re-directed it towards Unix and watched in satisfaction as she rose up into the air, her wounds healing and a re-energized look on her face.
As she dropped to the ground, Cocotte quickly jumped away from the confused Hellions. Throwing a bunch of red capsules at the feet of his team members ((damage insp)), he crushed a couple of blue ones in his hand and rolled to the side, pushing Unix to the other side as he did so, hiding in the shadows once more.
Edit:fixed colors

He pulled out a bunch of pills, green ones, yellow ones and red ones. Yelling to Steel Pixie, he threw her a couple of them. Here, these should help.

Pix caught the packet of pills and looked at them, confused. The dark wash of energy from Unix took her by surprise and she looked up to see the other martial artist and the dog pulling the Hellions off her prone body.
With a worried expression, Pix ran across the room and knelt next to Unix.
"The pills help, huh?" she muttered to herself. She started pushing the pills into Unix's mouth and rubbing her throat to make her swallow - one pill of every color she could find.

Drugs? Or medicine? What was it about some people that they couldn't resist putting things in their mouth like a baby, Constance wondered.
Trying to keep the battle away from Unix, Constance forced her way forward, pushing the front ranks back and continuing her assault.
While the body was important, it was the mind where true strength lay. She focused her will, calling upon years of meditation and training, to hold them back.

Unix awoke in mid air her mind was fuzzy and not comprehending what was going on. She settled to the ground as Steel Pixie came over to her and began to shove various pills down her throat. Unix was still in a bit of a haze trying to figure out where she was and how she was still alive if she was alive. Unix came around as she felt rage pass thru her body. She saw Sam walked up to him and un-buckled his collar then scribbled something on the hellions notepad. She then kicked in a wall socket and ripped off the face plate two bear wires now dangled from the wall. She ejected a small rectangle for her gauntlet and pressed the wires up against it began to glow. Unix looked at Steel Pixie This is all going to end now you might want to run now. Unix got up and walked up to Constance calmly handed her the note pad written across the page was Grab Lupis, RUN!
Unix then held the collar high in the air and screamed Looking for this? all the hellions in the room turned and saw Unix holding a collar and changed there attention to her. Unix took off running down the hallway (away from our group) as the hellions trailed after her. The rectangle glowed brighter as she ran down the hall. It didnt take long for the hellions to catch Unix as she was forced to the floor a bright light erupted from right beside her. Thousands of bright balls shoot outward from the light and then erupted into explosions that engulfed the hellions and Unix.
Pix watched Unix run down the hallway with all the hellions chasing her.
"I'll make sure she gets them all - whatever she's doing is really unlikely to permanently hurt me. I hope."
Pix started jogging down the hallway, keeping Unix in sight - but making sure that the Hellions were between them to take the brunt of whatever was going to happen.

As the light fades, Pix lowers one hand from her eyes. Her face above and below her mask is cracked and blistered from the heat of the explosion - even at range the burns are at least second degree.
Dazzled by the brilliance, Pix squints down the hallway looking for Unix and sees . . . .

(OOC: Coordinated w/ Citizen_Stu)
Constance heard Unix and read the note. She grabbed Sam and ran for it, barely making it out of the main blast radius in time. The concussive blast of the explosion rocked her off her feet, sending girl and dog tumbling to the ground.
The cumulative effect between her already existing injuries and the blast was too much. The medical teleporter issued to her earlier that day kicked in, and both girl and dog vanished in a snap of blue light.

With a thud, Cocotte flipped backwards, landing on his head and shoulders before rolling too his stomach. Getting to his feet, Cocotte weaved a bit, side to side, trying to connect with the Hellion, but missing by quite a bit. With an evil-sounding ka-chunk and a vicious-looking grin, the Hellion re-loaded his shotgun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unix Felt her breath get shallower and shallower until it went away. Seeing the shotgun being pointed at Cocotte She mustered every bit a strength she had left and took wobbly aim at the hellion about to shoot Cocotte and fired a bolt. It almost missed but managed to snag the barrel of the shotgun and rip it out of the hands of the hellion. Unixs muscles then all gave out at once as she toppled to the cold floor. Unixs sight narrowed the last sight she saw was a white and black border collie standing above her. She smiled as her vision went black.
