Pix watched Unix run down the hallway with all the hellions chasing her.
"I'll make sure she gets them all - whatever she's doing is really unlikely to permanently hurt me. I hope."
Pix started jogging down the hallway, keeping Unix in sight - but making sure that the Hellions were between them to take the brunt of whatever was going to happen.
[ QUOTE ]
Thousands of bright balls shoot outward from the light and then erupted into explosions that engulfed the hellions and Unix.
[/ QUOTE ]
As the light fades, Pix lowers one hand from her eyes. Her face above and below her mask is cracked and blistered from the heat of the explosion - even at range the burns are at least second degree.
Dazzled by the brilliance, Pix squints down the hallway looking for Unix and sees . . . . -

He pulled out a bunch of pills, green ones, yellow ones and red ones. Yelling to Steel Pixie, he threw her a couple of them. Here, these should help.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pix caught the packet of pills and looked at them, confused. The dark wash of energy from Unix took her by surprise and she looked up to see the other martial artist and the dog pulling the Hellions off her prone body.
With a worried expression, Pix ran across the room and knelt next to Unix.
"The pills help, huh?" she muttered to herself. She started pushing the pills into Unix's mouth and rubbing her throat to make her swallow - one pill of every color she could find. -
Here's one sale!
Pulp for teh win! -
Steel Pixie stepped up to an axe wielding hellion and popped him in the nose with her fist. In return, he swung the axe at her with a viscious two-handed swipe.
Pix cried out in pain as the axe made a meaty thunk against her shoulder. Gritting her teeth, she did a front-flip over the hellion and kicked him in the back of the head. Before he could turn, she slammed him one more time with her dainty boot -- sending him flying across the room to crash into the the kennel cages.
The force of his landing deformed the door, breaking the lock. -
Steel Pixie bounded up and through the Hellions, feeling the gunshots punching through her torso and limbs. The surge of strength the radation gave her was unexpected, and she actually bypassed all the Hellions and spanged off the wall behind them.
Turning quicky, she stepped up behind one with a shotgun - a kick to the kidneys, a kick to the back of the skull, and a final kick aimed center torso flung him across the room unconscious.
She advanced on the next Hellion. As she walked, there was a quiet tink, tink as bullets were pushed out of her closing wounds. -

O'Neill glanced toward the stairs, then turned back just as half the mist in the corridor dissipated... revealing a border collie and 3 women, one crouched against the wall, one in motion, and youngest one looking slightly surprised.
"Look out you lot, they're headed for the stairs down" he snapped over the external speakers as he twisted toward the stairs, ignoring the people to his left.
The whining as the X-ray emitters reached discharge power failed to drown either the suits hissing and groaning, or the crescendo of Handel's firework music.
[/ QUOTE ]
Steel Pixie put her hands up near her head, apparently trying to shade her eyes from the sudden light, and cover her ears to block out the blaring music.
"So much for surprise." she murmured with a wry grin, and stepped away from the wall and into a flanking position for the man in the creaky armor.
"I hit people and get beaten up alot, what do you do?" she asked. -
[ QUOTE ]
"What's a Tatu?" O'Neill asked curiously. "and what's that big black fog thing, while you're at it?"
"You still need to come out where I can see you"
[/ QUOTE ]
"Um . . . ah . . . please, sir . . . can we talk about it after beating up the Hellions?"
[ QUOTE ]
If either of you hurt Canis lupus familiaris or her I can assure you that you wont leave this building alive
[/ QUOTE ]
At that Steel Pixie frowned. "Killing people is bad. Talking about killing people tends you get you arrested."
Steel Pixie dropped into a casual fighting stance, and put her back to wall. -

The swirling cloud moved forward and embraced her. A hand touched her arm as a voice whispered urgently.
"In here, be quiet."
[/ QUOTE ]
"Eep!" the girl squeaked as the hand pulled her into the swirling cloud. She was about to protest further when she heard the clanking noises coming from both directions down the hallway. The noise to her right stopped, and she heard:

"Probably wasn't 56 then"
"Right then, whoever yez are. Come out quietly, or I'll make it be Abba instead. I'm sure there's some Abba on this iPod somewhere..."

"Um . . . ah . . . um," the girl stammered sotto voce, "People call me Steel Pixie . . . um . . . can you play Tatu? I think they're really cool." -
Meanwhile, one floor up, the Damned stopped kicking the poor unconscious girl and cocked his head to the side. Very faintly, he heard the sound of fighting on the floor below.
With a scowl he headed for the stairs, hands already ignited and ready to burn more heroes.
A few seconds after he left the room, the girl's eyes snapped open. Slowly, she used the nearby window ledge to pull herself onto her feet and staggered a little.
Her ribs made a wet crunching sound as they slid back into place and knitted together at superhuman speed. After a moment, she felt fine - as if the beating had never happened.
She began to quietly follow the hellion - she heard voices below, and seemed to remember a dog barking. It simply wouldn't do to let the baddie get the drop on whoever was down the stairs.
The girl lept down the stairs, tagging the hellion on the side of the head with a bootheel on her way past. She made a snap-roll into the hallway and came up on her feet.
"Watch out!" she whipered, "there's another . . . oh dear . . ."
She looked around at the swirling dark mist that filled the hallway.
"Well, poo."
((hope you don't mind me "dropping in"- feel free to have me clobbered by whatever is coming down the hall, I tend to get better

A shadowy form vaults the back fence to the building and notices the crumpled form in the side lot. Moving towards the fallen hero, the young girl slips into the pool of light shed by the streetlamps.
She looks terribly young - maybe fifteen or sixteen. She wears a body suit of black leather, buckled on tightly enough to show the armor plates built into it, and a small black mask. Her skin is chalk white, and her equally white hair corkscrews around her head in unruly dreadlocks.
"Oh, my." she murmers. She tries to check the man's pulse, but the armor gets in the way. Looking up she sees the broken window. Her eyes narrow.
"Right then." She glances back down at the unconscious hero, "Um, don't die. I'll be right back."
The girl leaps to the second floor of the building and balances on a window ledge. From there she springs up and does a neat front flip into the already broken window.
A few seconds pass, and a gout of flame shoots out the window.
A few more seconds pass, and one of the Damned flies out - landing hard next to Experiment. The Damned staggers to his feet and starts walking back towards the front door of the building, muttering curses under his breath.
((anybody that can see into the room - 1 damned down, 1 out the window, and 1 badly injured but kicking the girl, who is now a singed, bloody heap on the floor))
