The problem with cancer is how it lingers for years and years and costs so much to treat. Sure, many heroic apprehension methods can cause serious physical injuries, but those are immediate things. At most a couple months in the prison hospital and a good deal of physical therapy and these people can get on with some semblance of a life. But cancer...there's often no going back after that.
(I beg forgiveness from those inflicted real life if I'm presuming too much. I haven't had to deal with this insideous disease with anybody close to me (thank goodnes, knock on wood), so I can't imagine how this thread might be viewed)
Thankfully the story on the Hepatitis outbreak I've caused by freezing bad guys in poopy sewage water will be buried due to this coming out. *whew*

We've been up to our necks in copyright law cases and making sure the supervillains get back on the street so people can redo their taskforces, but I hate to see brave heroes get railroaded like this, maybe we can spare some pro bono work for ya...
Yes! My ray of cancer works! They said it was useless, that it would "take too much time" but I showed them! Not only that, but my clever scapegoat worke...I mean, uh...Who wants cookies?!

I just have to say that I agree with this article whole heartedly. Not only is this a danger to those that it is used on but tests have proven that the chemical does not break down and that it may be leaking into the aquafier. In addition, I have seen several patients who are not criminals but have been "rescued" by heroes using these chemicals who are reporting similiar symptoms. My data shows a direct coorelation between the increased rate of cancer and the use of these chemicals. A ban on these chemicals and other similiar chemicals should be enacted until a comprehensive study of the long term effects can be carried out.
