Noobers Guide to CoH Abbreviation and Jargon
Personally, I always assumed woot was derived from Woo as in short for woo-hoo!
BIOYA - Blow it out your ... you know the rest.
I believe "bio break" or bio brk means not only for going to the rest room but for anything related to human body, also refers to as biological break. It can mean you need to drinkl or get some food or whatever it means. Some people thought that it means to write something on the "bio"section of the ID.
SB= Speed Boost
ID= Increase Density
Here's one i made up:
ROTFLMAOFTPC- rolling on the floor laughing my a$$ off face turning purple :choke:
Ninjamonkeyts84=debt magnet for the unprepared pugs
OK, I've searched the web, I've searched this forum, I've read the manual, it's included in menus within the game itself, and STILL I can't find out: What is "SF" (As in "Looking for SF")????

Strike Force is the Villain equivalent of a Task Force.
Mains:
* Molneeya, Electric/Electric Mutant Blaster
* Doctor Magus, Illusion/Force Field Magic Controller
* Gilded Girl, Invulnerable/Super Strength Technology Tanker
* White Wasp, Martial Arts/Regeneration Science Scrapper
* Q'org, Empathy/Radiation Natural Defender
Thanks, this was driving me utterly crazy.
One I've seen in several games
IONO = I don't know. Try saying it like a teenager i.e. unable to pronounce consonents (he he he).
On a related note, one of my pet hates is "z" for "s". I can understand "pls" for "please", especially in the heat of battle, but I hate "plz". One of the posters at the WOW board obviously hates it as well since their signature is 'if anyone asks for something from me and uses "plz" because it is shorter than "please" then I answer "no" because it is shorter than "yes".'
Cheers
Craig
Also, I didn't notice "nrg" on the list or the pages I got through. This one boggled my mind but it means "energy" as in Energy Manipulation type powers.
I agree with this sentiment:

Nope, sorry..99% of people i've seen in game use
SC: Steel Canyon
Sky : Skyway City

SC has always been Steel Canyon.
Possible additions:
RA - Recovery Aura, a short term buff for those nearby the player casting it which increases the speed of your endurance recovery.
Regen - Regeneration Scrapper or Regeneration Aura; the aura is like the RA aura only it recovers your green bar instead your blue bar.
OMGLFG1009!!1JPOUIOSJEGZZIE!!! - people who like to exaggerate the popular "OMG" may go a little insane and just add a bunch of characters; they are especially fond of the "!"; also used by those making fun of such people.
Gank - (I learned this the hard way) - term refers to being in a PvP zone where one character gets trounced by others; one tactic is for an opponent to use a combo of invisibility to sneak up - stun/mez - nuke; another is for one player to engage the opponent then have a large group of teammates join in and pound the player to a pulp within 1 or 2 seconds. This often happens repeatedly as the "gankers" will wait by the hospital or gate for player to return.

In my opinion, invisibilty/sneaking and teawork are part of the game.
GANKing specifically refers to the camping out around gates, hospitals, respawns, etc for the purpose of repeatedly killing the same opponent. Usually done for the purpose of stroking an unstable or weak ego.
That's what I said.

Either w00t is actually an acronym for "We Own (the) Other Team". Earliest representation I recall was during some 2am.com games back in the mid to late 90's.
It represents winners or super accomplishments in gaming.

The Origins of W00t are disputed. The farthest back sighting I can remember of it was back in the BBS days, early 90's or even slightly earlier, as an early 1337 way of expressing "ROOT!" i.e., "I have achieved ROOT access to a Linux box, thus proving my leet hacker skillz."
Either definition's equally amusing, but the actual origin of the term has never been proven or verified.
For the longest time I thought it was an onomatopoetic term describing the sound of the bells that go off on a game show (i.e., The Price Is Right) when someone wins $10,000 on the Big Wheel.
