  1. very nice Serengeti....has a definate anime feel to it.

...also, welcome back to the forum....was wondering where you wandered off too. good to see you have returned ~
  2. yup...sometimes a picture is more than just displaying the character in question. the idea being that the viewer "knows" who is being pictured...as such seeing the actual suit design is not a priority. in this case the pose and "feeling" is.

are there better options for displaying the actual symbol and showcasing the suit? sure...but I wanted something different and something that Doug was interested in trying out.

as such, any ritiques regarding perspective on this piece fall ta me....as it was ultimately my choice. a choice by which I still stand as it is what I was looking for

that said...dont be surprised if you see another version of whiteperegrine from Dog in the not so distant future. given we have some posibilities for different posing worked up that is a step we can basically breze through......

...of course this is assuming Doug is willing to work with me again in the future ~
  3. that's cool...was just curious. personally, I like some clothing...adds more feeling to a pic. not that nekid Rowr is bad...far from...just that sometimes clothing adds more. ~
  4. looking good, should be nice when completed

    critiquewise? errr...boots?~
  5. happy belated birthday and congrats on a wonderful piece! as mentioned, straight from the pages...and this is a good thing indeed! ~
  6. ....and I still say this is one of the cooler perspectives out there. definate keeper Far ~

Oooh! I really like the one of Graviton Girl. She looks sad or exhausted after a long battle and someone happened to sneak up and snap a quick photo.

agreed...I like this one as a "behind the camera" type scene. ~
  8. you heard it...new

like you gonna have to grin and bear it till the new suits die down in the general population. but given how cool they are won't be surprisin to see a good number wandering around.~

Peregrine: That must be agonising trying to choose between such good choices

it was tough...real damn tough. but in the end I went with the fourth due to the perspective. I thought it a bit more dynamic than the rest. although, I may have to have him do some of the other in the future for me...oh yes....you bet yer bippy I saved all the WIP shots.

while the final scene is different than the sketch I am still overwhelmingly pleased with the end result. like most of my commissioned pices I leave a good majority up to the artist in question. given I like the style they use I am not overly concerned if they do something different than what I thought as I know I will love the piece in the end. indeed...part of the enjoyment is just seeing what others envision versus being told exactly what to display int he piece in question.

anywho...I am definately one happy camper with this piece....and can you guess what my new desktop is and more than likely will be for a good long while?

again...thanks Doug for the hard work ya put in...very much appreciated and I look forward to getting the chance to work with you again. ~
  10. oooo....more goodness.

really groovin on donnchad's look in this piece. it just oozes..."I am a bad ash, so dont fook with me".~

    a new look?~

I like...its on the "simple/plain" side but I have always favored more clean lookin heroes. really happy with the look, for the longest time he was runnin around in his techbot armor without and real embelishments, not even the headband-wings (they didnt look right). noooow? different story all together and probably my second favorite suit I have

just need to mull out a more permanent name for the fella. ~
  12. *from bunk*

...and have I mentioned how much I love this piece? ~
  13. very cute!
the lil plushie heroes are a nice touch...hehe

congrats on a great lil piece Rowr ~
  14. sooo....I can keel over now right?

great work here DJ, most definately! Love the perspective and the overall look. have been anxiously awaiting the completion of this piece and to say the least you delivered the goods and delievered in spades as you usually do. also want to say that I greatly appreciate all the work you have put into this piece.

to put it simply...amazing work, I love it!

soooo...if you will excuse me I have an appointment with my bunk. ~

    a new look?~

Valhalla on Champion with GvE Gear

the above is Valhalla, my lone tank (invuln/energy 31) after I updated with the new GvE Gear. I have to say I really like the new look for him and suits the name pretty well, imo. the downside...valhalla is taken on the other servers. so now I have to figure out where I want to go for reservation on name. I have a few idea's.

Valholl is the old norse version and Valhall is the literal english translation, but I found that these were also mostly taken. this means moving along to other possibilities.

one of the ideas is to take the virtue whiteperegrine and drop him in this armor. effectively whiteperegrine the tank...heh...and then, when avail I would slap on the wings. actually I think it would be pretty cool looking but kinda thinking that would be a last resort. also toyed with another idea, and even got an ok ta use it from the person due to a relatively distant similarity in names but I have moved away from that name for that very same reason....but I did and still do like it so it may come back, I dunno.

so...you see this fella and what names do you see? not really looking for a name per se...just a lil inspiration is all...and what better place to find said inspiration than the forum filled with lovers of art and slaves to their various muses? ~
  16. I concur with Southie....great work and keep em rollin ~

  20. very cool Woggle! and very much appreciated

...in regards to the metal spork? ....errr....never seen one myself...lol~
  21. southie....you brute!

spectacular work Woggle, and like so many of the other greats here, getting tough to say something "New" without sounding like a durn broken record. eitherway...good stuff here without a doubt ~
  22. I likey I likey! this is probably one of my favorite pieces I have seen (just for the perspective alone). that it is also great line work (and now great coloring) doesnt hurt either. all around...just awsome... a big congrats on this one Far... ~

You all just killed my art forum ):

naaah...just our form of bumping. keeps it active versus seeing "bump" fifty billion times.
...in ways...think of this "playing" on the part of the forumites as a form of wub....we wub ya Jesse.

if ya want...you could always doodle out whiteperegrine in his new suit...with wings if your feeling frisky. that would get it back on the tracks right quick.

what?! I had ta try at least. ~
  24. HA!
    that's great Aaron! much appreciated
    ...silly badguys...they never learn...hehe

*does a lil dance for new art* ~
