I came up with a pretty neat idea.

I don't know how many of our artists would be up for it but hopefully all goes well.

I purpose a mass art trade between our artists. Especially the ones who tirelessly pump out amazing pieces but rarely get thier own in return.

So heres how I think it would go,

We'll keep the name submissions open for about a week maybe. Give all of our artists time to get in then, either we'll pick who we want to draw or it'll be determined randomly. Then you finish a piece for your fellow artist, taking as long as you need.

Any comments? Suggestions about how to go about things?
I'll be the first added to the list of artists.

I really really hope we can do this and kinda support our fellow creators

Something similar is being done on DevArt.

They have a journal ring going, where the first ten to respond to a post about the chain get a free drawing of their choosing, as long as they do the same.

My drawings are "eh" to "ew" so I don't think it'd be fair of me to join these chains though >.>

Really? Didn't know about the DA chain?

I'm thinking as long as you can draw better then stick figures your in though I may have to convene with thet others once we get going.

I think it's kinda unfair to base this on ability. More so I'm basing it on if you have a desire to contribute to the art forum.

well we could always just force some of our tireless art cranker outers to post some screenies so that we can draw them a bit .

And Burning_Brawler no one ever turns down a gift no matter what you belive your level of artistic talent is

Consider it reverse art [censored] month instead of asking an artist for art f draw /write etc etc something for them .

you get nothing in return other than the knowledge your giving back to folks everyone often asks alot of

That might be good too. Getting the biggies to post screens. I just wanna get everyone in though and I know I can't do it by myself. Atleast if the bigger players are doing it within thier group then you do one and get on. An nice sence of accomplishment for completing a pals toon and a great gift to display.

I would sooo like to get in on this... but I have sooo much on my plate I should get done first. *sigh* Plus we haven't started doing human figures yet in art class, we're still on silly things like still life and perspective.

I'm slowly slowly learning human form. It's taking forever though but atleast I'm improving bit by bit.

fingers and toes for me , when I first started drawing everyone was always clenching their hands

yep...hell, when I do do something I still do that for the most part...that and stop it at the knees...just to avoid the inevitable feet.~

I always thought feet were easy. They're relatively simple shapes and easy to put into multiple poses.

ugh...you can have 'em...they are a pain for me. never happy with how they come out so I just act like they dont exist....seems to work for me! ~

Well crap, I guess I'm out then. As everyone has seen, I can barely draw a stick figure, much less anything else.

Anything you have that you can see should be easier to draw. Having trouble with feet and hands? Pose 'em and draw! Having trouble with faces? Oh... hmm. Get a mirror?

It's a big art trade... Someone draws art for your character, and you do it for them too. And lots of people will be doing it here.
