completed base coloring.

...nothing major...just finished off the base coloring. only thing really to do with her now is go back over for shading. then it'll be on to the wings (which will be a major pain in the [censored]) and finally dropping her on some sort of background...although may chinse out there...haven't really decided as of yet...

...and I gotta say forgot how tedious coloring with a friggin mouse can be...ofta~

then color me a nOOb...breathing is my friend...I hate finding dimes on the floor.

"nOOb"...so very similar ta "bOOb"...hrrmm...I'm sensing a connection....either that or I have been looking at some of the pictures of you gals to long.....what!?....just admiring the 'art'. ~

...not sure on the responce you'll get from the various artists but thought I would drop a note. it may be easier to find something you like by visiting the various artists directly versus placing a general post....though there is nothing wrong with doing so per-say....you'll probably be able to get this done faster by sending them individual PM's.

sooo....who to commission for this lil gift? tough call and really depends on the style she likes. as I mentioned there are numerous artists here and they all have their own lil unique take when drawing characters. as such...probably want to surf around a lil and see what peaks yer interest. then, when ya find someone you like you can shoot the artist in question a PM and move on from there...

...then come x-mas...voila...one shiney new piece the give as a gift! ~

...just as it say, the base coloring, gives a nice general feel for how she will look completed. still havent even touched the wings and they are gonna be a pain but I have a couple ideas so we'll see how it goes.~

...and THAT is why I voluteered to be dropped off the list to make room for someone else. partial ta breathin an all that jazz ~

I like it...need to redue the skin color as lookin a lil jaundiced....but its a rough only on the coloring. also need to think about makin the eye a smidge larger....other than that pleased over all so far ~

have I requested art? yes. but hopefully it was taken to be in a polite manner. does this in turn mean the artist is bound to draw my request? not at all...they are free to ignore at will.

I am usure what brought this post up, but imo...the Art Forum is the nicest place here in all the CoH Forums. while there are the occasional people who are...not so polite.... I would say on the whole the regulars are pretty good.

to be honest though, I suspect that, while this thread is indeed inspiring, it will change very little in the grand scheme. we will still have people screamin "U roxor my soxorz! Draw Meh!" and scores of posts of people asking the same "Draw Meh! I suck because ___________. thanx." as such, I suspect we will continue on as we ever have...enduring such lovely people that drift in and out...and that's ok cause that life on the 'net and especially in this forum where art is potentially available for request.

at this point it really is the only place I regularly come to here in the CoH Forums. why? because of the people mainly...while the great art aint exactly chopped liver...I mainly come for all the fine folk that post here regularly. you all make me smile...you all make the day a lil brighter for this hero and for that I say thank you....thank you one and all for being the heroes you all are.~

I can draw (well enough for me anyways)...but rarely do it these days. the work on nitecrow is the first pic I have done in a long time (over a year). as far as gallery goes...link in the sig. while there are a couple pieces in there by me from a couple years back most is from the fine artists here. ~

have to agree...seeing some nice improvements overall...keep up the great work Derek ~

...finished linework and doing some prelim colororing on the shirt and to be honest not looking forward to it but I shall finish it out. cant seem to locate the blending tool though so that sucked...perhaps when I poke around some more tomorrow it'll rear its ugly head.
