...not sure on the responce you'll get from the various artists but thought I would drop a note. it may be easier to find something you like by visiting the various artists directly versus placing a general post....though there is nothing wrong with doing so per-say....you'll probably be able to get this done faster by sending them individual PM's.
sooo....who to commission for this lil gift? tough call and really depends on the style she likes. as I mentioned there are numerous artists here and they all have their own lil unique take when drawing characters. as such...probably want to surf around a lil and see what peaks yer interest. then, when ya find someone you like you can shoot the artist in question a PM and move on from there...
...then come x-mas...voila...one shiney new piece the give as a gift!

I would do it, but there's two reasons it wouldn't work...
1) I'm in no way what you'd call 'the best' or anything of the sort, really. I am free, though. (Not like that!!)
2) I don't have that big of a scanner. (ALTHOUGH... I could draw the characters individually, scan them, and then put 'em in the same picture that is the size you want.)

I got this idea from a duo piece that another artist did for me. For 8x11 6 characters is alot on a page. As someone who's talked about balancing price with quality with alot of other artists, I think a duo of your characters would be just right for that size, and then in the background, have you and your girlfriend's headshot.

Looking for an artist that can help me with making a Christmas present for my girlfriend. I'm looking to have a picture made, sizewise from 8 x 11 or bigger, of 6-8 characters. 2 characters will be our main heroes, 2 our main villains, 2 will be our real life selves in normal clothing, and possible 2 others of our real life selves as well.
