I got bored of that show. I was always mentally complaining that they didn't take certain things into consideration. Like history. A ninja was a samurai that ignoring the code of ethics to get something done. There really isn't a reason for him to be attacking anyone in full armor.

That's a really great piece. The quality is really great. It's a really great find.

I feel as though I should request something for my PR blaster but...I don't have any refs yet. I always love PB art, but if you have an idea for something else, by all means. If you see something and go, "huh?" then feel free to ask and I will send details.

I think the above is very good advice. One area I see that needs to be much darker is the right leg. I understand the light source is here so the shadowing should match the depth of the other leg. Even the right thigh. Based on the shadows on the left leg I would put the source under his butt. So perhaps those shadows need to be pulled back a little bit.

Lastly with the light source at the bottom his face which is already very dark is going to be in deep shadow. I think that, unless you want to leave his face in dark shadow, adding a second light source would be your best course of action. Here I would leverage your layers and do the highlight separately on each layer then add them together. To keep your focus.

full disclosure, I am no artist so take my advice with some salt.

eh, I wouldn't be put off by seeing euros or pounds. Just put whatever you are familiar with and people will do their own conversions. Plus you'd have to update the conversions all the time. You don't have to deal with weird numbers if you stick with a single currency then you don't have weird numbers.

I don't think so. You are using a design and recognizable items from the game to promote a company that could ultimately earn money from that promotion. Which would be profiting from copyrighted material.

Clean the image of anything that could be linked back to the game and it's probably ok.

I think if it were a more personal level, IE using a rendering of your character or someone elses (with their permission) in your portfolio, That might fly, although in the end it's really the same thing.

<shrugs> I think that generally COH PS NCSoft aren't looking to be bad guys don't brand your stuff with their logos and they will probably look the other way.

I think CR that your problem might lie in your audience. In 'general' you are the equivalent of crazy guy on the street promising the end of the world without possessing any meteorites. Like everyone else in 'general.' Whereas in 606 "where everybody knows your name" We will heed your promises of meteorites and run for them. Same as what you describe just replace meteorites with arts.

Frankly it took me a little bit to find anything weird. I think what was throwing me was that it is still a wip.

Finishing the shading on the arms will help clear up so of the weirdness. I am not sure, given the pose, that the lower left leg should be hidden. Not completely. Maybe I'm just a lazy runner but I don't think that my legs come up so tight against my thigh when running, or leaping. Otherwise I think the proportions are more or less ok. His right arm probably needs a little debuffing. You'll need to finish it first though :P

You 10 years out of practice is still pretty good.
