Hey everyone! I know it's stupid and that I'm probably stupid for posting this, but I've had this scrapper around since right after CoV launched, and finally got tired of looking at him. I was trying to hit the s/l or melee cap with him, but failed completely. Can anyone take a look at this and give me a few clues on how to reach the cap but still keep him viable as a playable toon?
I really, really appreciate the help.

Because I'm a retard, I put my response in the wrong thread. So, again, I guess I was shooting for a survivable farm brute. Need infamy and have a lot of hungry alt mouths to feed. That and I've just always loved the concept, but never had the huge amounts of infamy you'd need to build a good one.
I mentioned in my moron post in the wrong thread that I don't see a build that reaches the caps for resist or defense. Is that just not doable for a brute or just an elec brute? -
Thanks for the responses all. I guess I was shooting for survivability/farming, as I need a sugar daddy for all my little alts reaaaaalllly bad. The builds so far are interesting, but it is impossible for an elec elec brute to reach the caps for Defense or Resist and still be able to output acceptable damage?

Hi all, as the title says, I've been looking all over for a guide that wasn't written years ago for a different game than we have now...
Not having much luck. Trying to respec this ancient elec/elec brute I've had laying for ages because I couldn't seem to get him to work, and wasn't really in the position at the time to keep up with all the changes.
Can anyone help me out? Post me a good build for an elec/elec that isn't made out of purps but is still playable?

Hey all. I recently made a stone tanker and am about to respec him at 39. My brother leveled him for me while I was gone and says with a good respec he should be ready to play.
Thing is, I cant' find any good guides for Stone/NRG that aren't all based on the super IO combo sets that I can't afford unless I want to buy influence from Gogara or whatever they are.
Is there a recent stone/nrg guide that could give me a better idea of how to go about this?
I want to be able to Exemp down with him, or Uro with him and not die, but I also want to be an effective tank. Can anyone offer a good solid build that doesn't rely utterly on IO bonuses to offset how poorly engineered the powerset is?
I greatly greatly appreciate any help you guys could offer. -
You're probably right, mate. I just like fighting the huge varieties of baddies I guess. My personal favorite is the Freaks and Arachnos, just because I thematically enjoy them. Of course, as a Mind/Energy dom, I'm either a complete moron or utterly without a clue since I can't seem to solo with the effortless ease I see referred to on this board so much.
I'm not quitting, I'm never quitting. I think I've already established that. But I really wish it didn't feel like a job so much lately. Maybe it's just me, but the AE being in the condition it's in, and the kind of teams I'[ve been finding lately aren't making it easy to enjoy the game anymore. I'll keep plugging away, I guess, and see what happens.

In order to fix pvp, you would need to start with this person's mentality. I can't think of any sane, rational, balanced person that would want to deal with a person like this by choice.
That done, you would have to change the game redside back to City of Villains. My brother poked his head into RV yesterday, and I asked him who all was in there. He shook his head and said we were back to "City of Stalkers".

AE is the sacred cow for the developers because their professional reputations are riding on it. It is the only thing of its kind in any MMO, and while it was in development I'm sure a lot of people were rightly skeptical that handing the keys to game content over to the playerbase is a lot like handing a monkey the keys to the company car.
In the end, if AE turns out to be a source of endless new content for players to enjoy, then the developers are geniouses; and if it turns out to be little more than a huge exploit that kills the game, then they're a bunch of idiots who have no business running an MMO.
So it's easy to see why they are quick to err on the side of caution when it comes to the whole "exploit that kills the game" thing.
Seen in the light of comparison to PI/TV farming, it's pretty clear that they are being unjustly single-minded in their attempts to stop AE farming, but they clearly have their reasons for doing so.

This makes sense to me.
I loved the AE when it got rolling, and still do. Of course...I love it alone these days..but it still seems like an amazing idea.
I can see why they chose to ruin it instead of wait it out and see if the population would balance and move back into the mainstream after the farming craze came and went, but I think they should have given it a little more time before bringing down the hammer.
Then again, if my reputation and livelihood were depending on it, I probably would have jumped the gun and done something drastic too.
