I had a similar trouble quite a while back.

Under Options -> User Interface, I changed the Window Scale setting. I don't remember if I made it more or less than 100% but it gave me the same issue you are now. See if putting it at 100% will help, or changing it to another size if it's already 100%.

You can also try resizing just the scale of one window using the command:
/windowscale nameofwindow number

SO! I like to change my recipe window size:

/windowscale recipe .6

Which makes the recipe window 60% of normal size. Try:

/windowscale supergroup 1

and see if that helps any. Good luck!

I always close the launcher after the game has loaded.

I've been experiencing this issue since about Going Rogue, so I'm pretty sure the launcher is not the root of my problem.

I hate to 'necro post' but I seem to be experiencing this issue more and more frequently.

This evening I was locked out of a Lambda. Yesterday I was locked out of a BAF and the third mission of the ITF. Three weeks ago I was locked out of the fourth mission in the LRSF. Two weeks ago I was locked out of Keyes. Last month I was locked out of bases. It seems I am experiencing this reliably once a week or better, now. There are instances I am forgetting, I'm sure.

This is NOT an issue of crashing while on the map or while loading the map. Most of the time I have no issues, and I do not have a problem with maps crashing because of graphics or lag. Instead, I get hung up on the generic loading screen and eventually am dropped to a screen of wherever I was with a mapserver error to click on. Past that the only way to get me on that map is to reset it.

I really wish I could do something about the situation; if there was a problem on my end that I could address it would make this much easier to deal with.

I did a BAF this afternoon with 22 and got 5% toward Judgment.

Before the change to iXP distribution I would get 15%ish regularly, unless I was slacking or something. So... yeah. Hoping for an adjustment to the new change soon. Not looking forward to unlocking slots on new Incarnates right now. New plan: work toward t4 on others.

Also experienced this issue tonite while duoing with a buddy. We were just doing story arcs in the Rogue Isles. Halfway thru the session I reloaded the game and the issue persisted.

My computer decided it was a great time to restart after applying an update. You know how you normally get a warning and a choice to delay? Yeah not so much this time!

When I got back in game I was unable to rejoin the Keyes trial I was on and they were not finished. Quite disappointing as we were doing well.

I used to do the red or blue sketch under clean inks or graphite pencil thing all the time. In Photoshop then you just remove the channel for that color and the blue or red disappears. Greyscale the image, adjust the levels or whatnot to clean it up, and convert back to RGB.

I've never used Gimp, but imagine it has a similar set of abilities.

I tended to prefer the red; it was a softer pencil and it was easier for me to get stronger lines when I needed them. If that link doesn't work, search for Dixon Ticonderoga and use the Erasable Checking link.

edit: As a side note, the Green color also works (RGB and all), but I never got as good results with it (bought the 12 color box one time), and they don't offer the green by itself anyway.

Pick up a lightbox at your local art store, don't bother with tracing paper.

If you don't feel comfortable inking directly onto the new piece of paper over the original while using the lightbox, just do some light pencil lines on the new paper, turn off the lightbox, then ink and erase the pencil. Alternatively, use non-photo blue colored pencil (Ticonderoga makes good ones) to do your initial sketch, then directly ink over them. Scan into computer and remove blue lines (blue channel). Carmine red also works.

As mentioned, thumbnailing first can be of great aid. It's especially easy when done digitally; tiny thumbnail gesture sketch, then blow that badboy up to use as direct reference. Otherwise.. cheap copiers with a resize function are your friend.

I decided my theme would be additional cards using arcana and in game signatures not featured in the official Mystic Fortune set. I used wikipedia and matched signatures to the interpreted readings of a card, and used a similar style to match the in game card renderings.

I figure the Ten of Wands is the most obscure character and then people will wonder why is it that card? Simply, Null the Gull solves the problem of the Ten of Wands, so stands atop them instead of being burdened by them.

The skill involved for #3 made it an obvious Lousy Day piece. The layout on the large, third panel to the end is especially well done.

I'd no clue who did #4 but it remains my favourite this month. Clever use of game material.

I've joined a 30 day challenge on tumblr hosted by a friend (and coh player).

The challenge is open to anyone, but I believe you have to have a tumblr account to participate. Any level of detail or finished-ness you want to go to is OK as long as it fits the daily theme, which is the first post in the account. The challenge starts today, but is flexible if you want to start another time.

At the very least you can watch me bang my head against a wall later in the month.

Great Ustream tonite! Tuned in about forty minute in, so just missed the info about the billboards. *eyebrows*

I seem to have some kind of video issues when playing City and watching ustream, so I can only listen in live. If I tab back and forth too many times my PC crashes. Can't wait to watch the recording so I can catch what I missed.

And the Crew of the Galactic Pelican (Virtue) made new toons on Freedom and have been leveling them up for the past couple weeks so we can participate in the fun on the 27th. Looking forward to the insanity!

I like how I've gained a slash. Reminds me of college days with my best friend. We were not two people, we were one entity. Liz n' Renee.

Thank you, that is the most helpful answer I've gotten from anyone I've told of my situation. I know I've been experiencing it since no earlier than i17, which went live in April last year. I know I never experienced it before ultra mode or on my last computer, but I doubted the situations we really related.
