I think it depends on how Amon took away Korra's bending. If the connection was severed to her other bending powers, then the Avatar State might set up a temporary connection kind of like a jumper cable. Korra can't cure herself of her condition since it would be like performing neural surgery on yourself. Of course, it is just as likely for Aang to have completely cured her condition
  2. It will be interesting to see if Korra can only airbend when she is not in the Avatar state.

Kind of sucks with Asami, but ever since Korra was kidnapped, Mako only had eyes for Korra. Maybe she trades in for a better model. Better horsepower, durability, and various luxury features that her old model did not have.
  3. I would not consider this as making real life superheroes since that would require classes on costume design, procedure, and other information that real life superheroes need to know to stay safe. My opinion on real life superheroes is rather abysmal. After all why wear a suit and identity protection is meaningless unless they are an actual superhero. This is something better. This is better since it is self-improvement. Make citizens better people and they don't need to be saved.

*- It's hard for me to not see him as Jayne in all roles now, and I've been a fan of his since he popped up as the colonel in charge of area 51 in Independance Day.
Just blew my mind. Jayne as Superman. Not sure if it was a good or bad explosion. Have to assemble the pieces together to make a decision.

Never sure with some people. Better to act if a post is serious if there is no evidence of it being a joke.

If they are facing a huge weakness, then a stopgap measure would be implemented until a more permanent solution can be found. Once the first equalist attacked a police officer with their lightning gloves, then they should have started a couple of plans to create a simple armor to protect their officers in the short term and a more efficient armor to protect their officers in the long term. The only reasonable explanation is a plot device so the Equalists will have a more impressive battle against the police force. Forcing Korra's group to be the heroes and not the police.

We don't know how effective Amon's ability is. It could be a specialized pressure point technique that just needs another pressure point technique to fix. Or it could just wear off in a few months or a year. Which makes the most sense since the Equalists use technology and Chi Blocking to achieve their goals. Chi Blocking wears off after a few minutes. Amon's technique could be an advanced Chi Blocking technique or a technology enhanced Chi Blocking technique since he is giving off a Doctor Doom vibe. We never see his face or body and his organization uses mystical and technological abilities. Of course, this is all pure speculation.
  10. They could always have some global threat for Season 2. Amon has always seemed to be a minor threat to the world given his focus on Republic City. Sure, given time he could be a global threat, but that would require him to be in charge of Republic City for a few years.
  11. I am glad that I was right about General Iroh being Zuko's Grandson. Although, I would despise the season finale if it ends with Amon doing his bending removal technique on Korra and a second later the credits appear. Hopefully, if they do that, it will be the end of the second last episode.

He was orginally designed as, and continued to be a Fantasy/Sci-fi adventurer and martial artist who went on grand quests much like Frodo or Hercules. Ultraman was designed to be a normal man who defended his home from catastrophic threats by taking on a different identity and using unique abilities. While also possessing the "Alien and Strong" aspects.(this can vary from one Ultra series to the next but I'm not as big on Ultraman as I am on Kamen Rider)
Goku and Superman have died before, fly, and can shoot energy from a body part. So physically, Goku and Superman are similar, but mentally, you might be right in Ultraman being Japan's Superman.
  13. You would expect the metal benders to use an insulating undergarment by now due to them being rendered almost useless. Makes you wonder if they don't have the concept of rubber in the Avatar world.

Not the most terrifying reason. Bloodbending allows its user to control their enemies as cannon fodder. Having your friends attack you makes it difficult to fight back. Especially, if knocking out your friends doesn't do anything. So you have to either do some limb chopping or dodge your friend's attacks and attack the bloodbender. Of course, there is the possibility that chopping your friend's limbs off will give the bloodbender more things to control and flying limbs are a dangerous weapon.

Not sure about these Hulks, but the prototype used platinum which is unbendable. Could be that magnetism confines them so they can't use their martial art style bending to crush the Hulk. So it could be a matter of who attacks first if these are the mass produced version.
  16. Who else thinks we just saw Zuko's grandson? General Iroh is too obvious for anything else. He looks too young to be Zuko's son considering he looks to be in his 20s.

There we go. If Doctor Who stays on the air for another 10 years or more, then the chances of a female doctor rises until it becomes a certainty.
  19. The doctor changes hair color, age, eye color, skin color, and personality everytime he regenerates so it stands to reason that he can change gender since it is just another genetic alteration.

If the Doctor Who series want to keep just males as Doctor Who, then there needs to be an episode explaining that regeneration is gender specific by Rory, Amy, or some other companion asking why the Doctor only regenerates into males. Although, a scene between River and a female Doctor would be fun.

I don't see energybending give resistance to bloodbending. Otherwise, Aang would have been able to resist it without going to the Avatar state.

As far as Amon being Aang's son, Avatarness is not a hereditary trait. It is the accumulated knowledge of all the Avatars. Of course, most of it is encrypted so takes work to obtain the memories. The method of transfer is unknown, but likely has to do with some type of spirit transfer. Therefore, any abilities Aang has as an Avatar would not be inherited by his sons. Airbending would be inherited, but we don't know if energybending would be inherited since it would imply that either bending causes genetic changes (Lin knows metalbending because genetic changes were introduced when Toph learnt metal bending) or energybending is residing in everyone. I prefer bending to be a martial art so if you master earth bending, you can master metal bending. It is just a matter of training rather than genetics. It would also explain the Avatar, the accumulated knowledge of all previous Avatars gives the proper mental training to learn all bending.

As far as Amon being born an energybender, it is possible. Energybending is the primal bending so all benders could only energybend until the other more useful forms were discovered. Energybending is highly dangerous and only used to transfer information and stop a person's ability to bend. Air, earth, fire, and water are far more useful in everyday life.

Maybe a part of Pam would rub off on her.
  22. Tara in the books is completely different from Tara in the show. In the books, she did not have a screwed up life. It will be interesting to see how Tara is as a vampire. With Tara a vampire and Jason in some type of relationship with the acting vampire queen, it will be interesting to see what steps Sookie takes to balance out the Vampire influence.
  23. It wouldn't have surprised me if that was Eric's actual sister. He came from another time so a different set of morals exist for older vampires.
  24. Not sure about Eric's "untraceable" cellphone. There are numerous ways to track Eric and them down. Such as having another car following them and keeping a safe distance away or a leak in the organization that was helping to smuggle Bill and Eric.
