  1. Hi Leese,

If you're still reviewing arcs, would appreciate you checking out mine.

Title: The Pink Pounder Comes To Town
    Id: 84544
    level range 1-54 custom mob
description - When City Hall refuses to fly a special flag for The Rainbow Parade, The Pink Pounder gets pretty upset. He takes to the streets of Paragon City with his camp followers, kidnaps citizens and threatens to release pheromones that will make the entire city his slave.

Now, it is designed to be a bit of a challenge but I have completed it solo and in teams. Any AT should be able to solo it, but I would suggest a higher level toon would cope better.

It is not a kill all, unlike most mishes set in this map but the amount of victims to rescue and pheromones to destroy will keep you busy. The Pink Pounder himself is an AV if the team is large enough. Look out for the Stalkers and Masterminds. They can be a bit tricky.

Other than that, happy hunting. I look forward to your feedback.
  2. My dumbest moment took place in the auction house.

Inadvertantly bid 10 times the market price for 8 (o yes) recharge reduction recipes which wiped out all the available cash I had.

Whilst cursing this moment of stupidity, I then realized that I had bought the incorrect level recipes and had to sell the useless, overpriced back for a fraction of what I paid.

I can laugh about it now. Just
  3. Well call me Braggy McBrag, but I got my Emp Def to 50 very comfortably without Stamina, so it is possible.

I also had three of the leadership powers toggled on (albeit slotted with 3 x End redux each).

With Hasten and the End Mod aura I was mostly alright. Although I will admit that in a prolonged battle it could be a bit of a struggle.

In my opinion is was not worth using the three power slots to rectify this minor inconvenience although I do appreciate others may strive for the perfect build.

    The choice is yours.
  4. Actualy, there only seven now Dip,

    Did no one tell you...

    Gratz to Dipstar

Congratulation to Mr and Mrs Dipstar on the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth.

You kept us all waiting long enough!

See you back online in sixteen years!!
  6. Sorry Sinergy,

Dipstars comments were his own little personal digs at me and are probably best ignored by anyone seeking serious advice.

I'm afraid you have been drawn into our verbal sparring, which is petty and inane but makes us laugh.

However, I do agree with what you say about sonics and ST. it is this that makes this power set totally different to fire which is why I suggested it in the first place.

mmmm i played with you mate and have to say snoox was different

Should I be flattered or insulted?
  8. I play a sonic/energy combo but I would imagine sonic/ice would be a great combo as General panic suggests.

Another plus, on a personal level, is that there aren't many Sonics around, so your toon does feel really unique.

Ive found that empaths become a bit redundant at higher levels and you end up buffing then sitting back until the next round of buffing.

Not if Dipstars on your team its not!.... or a peacebringer....<mutter>.<grumble>

With my Empath, I originally took the medicine pool but speced it out and replaced with Leadership, which worked much better for the whole team.

I took some attacks from my secondaries, so when the team was fully buffed and operational, I has something to do - other than heal Dipstar
  10. May I suggest you give Sonics a look.

Totally different play style to Fire as a main.

You will be looking at fewer AOE damage attacks replacing them a group sleep, a stun and a knockback. A number of people have said it is quite Controllerish in style.

Nice in teams, but with the sleep and stuns, also good to solo.
  11. Having read a lot of negative dtuff about MoG i faced a similar dilemma as I approached level 38 with my MA/Regen.

I decided to take it however and unsurprisingly the first time I tried to use it (unlsotted) the baddies handed what was left of me back in a plastic bag.

However, I perservered, slotted it and learnt when to use it - amd more importantly when NOT to use it. It can be a real lifesaver used in the right circumstances - just don't expect to MoG and go toe to toe with an AV and walk away from it. That is probably it's weakness when compared to other tier 9 powers and why it gets such bad press on the forums.

As others have suggested, take it, slot it, give it a whirl and find out for yourself. Have fun.
  12. I've been stroking my chin on where to go with my MA/Regen post 40.

Decided against an epic power set and was toying with the idea of Leadership. I only have two pool sets though - Fitness and Speed.
  13. Thank you all for your input.

    My curiosity is fully satisfied
  14. This really applies to any Blasters' tier 9 'nuke', although I have just got my Fire Blaster to level 32 which has prompted my enquiry.

I notice that nukes can be slotted with End reduction. My understanding was that your Endurance was drained when you activate these powers.

So does slotting with End reduction make any discernible difference to your end drain or is it a waste of valuable enhancements space?

    comments/observations welcome.
  15. Thanks once again Filth for your input.

I did have a third attack but had to drop one to get stamina into my build. Another attack is a priority, although I do have my 12 month Vet reward power (Ghoot slayer?)to tide me over.

Not so sure about hasten though. I can't see this being such a high priority compared to getting more powers from the Primary.

  18. Thanks for that Filth. I will take your advise on board and tweak my build accordingly.

I won't bore you with my reasoning for picking Stone Skin over Rock Armour. Suffice to say it was a moment of madness.

Now how about for the future?

What would people recommend? Must have powers? What should be avoided? What will serve me best as I plod through the twenties?

Once again, any constructive advise on this build would be greatfully appreciated. This build is giving me more grief that any of my others alts!
  19. Well to be honest, time was of the essence here. I wanted to make use of the my free respec before the next one is issued in May. I have respecced but would still appreciate any observations on my current build.

    Stone Skin (dam Res x3)
Earths Embrace (Heal x1; Dam Res x1; Recharge x1)
Mud Pots (end Redux x2; Dam x 1)
    Rooted (Heal x 1; End Redux x2)

    Gash (Dam x2; Acc x1; Rechage x 1)
    Beheader (Damx 2; Acc x 1; Recharge x 1)
    Taunt (acc x 1)

    TP Foe (acc x 1)
TP self (end reduc x 3)

    Swift (running spped x 1)
    health (heal x3)
    Stamina (end mod x 3)

This has obviously reduced my end drain dramatically. However, I do have reservations about dropping Stone Armour from my build (how will people know I'm a stone tank???).

Will have another free repsec tomorrow (1stMay) to try again, so any comments on my foolhardiness are welcome.
  20. Hi There.

Long time reader/first time poster here.

Been struggling with my Stone/Axe tanker since day one really. He has currently just hit 21 and needs tweaking.

massive End drain issues need addressing, although SO's at 22 will probably help.

    Any constructive advised greatfully received.
