I don't think they've managed to successfully complete it more then once on test. So I can imagine that much like the LRSF and Hamidon before it, people will eventually develop techniques to doing this that don't require crutches.

The trial does not provide a way to do it besides going to Warburg.

One was required for the PAX East M&G though...
  3. Thanks for the info Voodoo. Perhaps you should add the base requirements at the top of the OP as a COP Requirements to Start section?

I'll take a look at getting the Paragonwiki entry updated.

8 rooms was a stipulation for having a raid enabled base. Which was required in order to do the CoP. Once you got an item of power from the CoP your base joined the raiding cycle, thus you needed to be raid enabled.

    Cathedral of Pain Requirements

Thus why I asked. These -were- the requirements, but may not be the requirements anymore. The guide really should also go into the requirements needed of a base in order to run the trial. Along with levels and rewards.
  5. I would suggest expanding this guide. It includes nothing about the base requirements to even run the raid.

    Base Requirements:
    8 rooms (including a vault)
    6 dimensional anchors
    Mission Computer or Oracle
    Raid Teleporter
A base/mount for the Item of Power

I don't personally know how much of that is still required. But that information should be included.

It would also be helpful to include any and all rewards for the trial including the buff temp powers.

  6. (Note: our current storyline deals with some changes in leadership and group focus and some slight modifications. I'll update this once that changes. )

    Name: S.C.O.R.P.I.O.

Currently Recruiting: We're always looking for new people interested in becoming involved in our ongoing group stories and events.

RP Level: RP-intensive, we're an incredibly immersive RP SG with mature themes (Violence/Realism)

PvP Level: Casual, we primarily RP PVP for some group events and have several members with an active interested in PVP.

    Theme/Concept:
The Strategic Command Objective for Research, Protection + Interdictive Operations(S.C.O.R.P.I.O.) is an international, extra-governmental intelligence and security organization formed to meet the rising storm of exceptional threats beyond the usual scope of normal law enforcement and military forces. SCORPIO is dedicated to protecting the nations and peoples of Earth from terrorists and all technologically-advanced, extraterrestrial, psionic, superhuman, occult, paranormal and supernatural menaces, and often assists such organizations as Longbow as well as other 'super'hero groups in apprehending threats to national security and world peace.

SCORPIO's main base of operations, Sanctuary, is a hidden facility who's location is know only to its Director, Jack Slayton. From Sanctuary SCORPIO agents are able to reach most places quickly and efficiently. Operating primarily in Paragon City Rhode Island considered by many to be the 'heart of the storm' due to it's dramatic escalation of metahuman activity in the past several years, SCORPIO retains a presence in most major cities in the free world(as well as a few secret bases and 'safe houses' in unfriendly nations). Although most of SCORPIO’s operations are indeed covert, the organization’s existence is known but unadvertised to general public. SCORPIO even maintains semi-public offices in several cities and has an active Public Relations office.

The identities of the organization’s founders have never been revealed. SCORPIO’s first public Executive Director however was billionaire inventor Stephen Singer, who resigned amidst controversy to form the famed 'Alpha Watch' strike team. An executive board of directors (known only as "The Nine") now acts as an 'Oversight Committee' on the long-term scale - creating and implementing policy, guiding SCORPIO's philosophy and goals - while the day-to-day business of running the agency and it's field operations have been assigned to a new Executive Director, Deputy Director and Unit Captains who act as the 'face' of SCORPIO in world-wide law enforcement and Intelligence communities.

Activity: We're a fairly active group with a large focus on storylines.

    Current Storyline: Transitioning

I too find it concerning that COH/V will not be represented at the NCSoft booth this year. Considering Going Rogue's release is *just* before the convention, it sounds like PS is loosing out on a prime marketing opportunity.
It makes me sad that COH isn't going to be on the convention floor. I was REALLY looking forward to that possibility myself. And it does seem rather silly especially with GR having just launched.

I mean really? What else does NCSoft have that could be better then that for a gaming convention. Aion? Guild Wars 2? I don't see why the booth isn't shared. But this is a major marketing opportunity the game is going to be missing out on.

Sorry, makes me sad is all. I was hoping I'd still get my CoH fix while at the convention, but alas, its not to be.

I also really wanted the ghoul costume code that was given out in San Diego. So poo.
  8. I guess my question is... can we submit artwork we commissioned then?

I couldn't draw to save my life, I pay people who are good at it to draw for me.

    Buy This

Maybe I'll pop in tonight. For once I don't have SG stuff.
  10. ransim

    VGs?

I think it depends on what you're looking for too. Are you looking for a group of villains or a group of more gray characters. I know of at least one good VG (through a good friend) but they're more of a gray area group then villains per say.

There is also an entire thread dedicated to VGs.
  11. No... its definitely wonky.

Appears to be some DNA weirdness going on, I couldn't get the domain to load, but the IP was working, now both work. Probably a issue with the host I would imagine.
  12. Actually posted this up a few days ago but just getting a chance now to post.

Finally got the large open RP "With Leave" posted up to Cherry's VirtueVerse page.

Just as a warning, its long.

I don't get how that is meta gaming.

I have two characters that I have two versions of. One is hero side, the other is villain side. I mention in both of their descriptions that they "may" be identifiable as x.

I don't see how thats a bad thing letting people know.

Its only meta gaming if you -assume- you know that without any actual basis for knowing it. Its not meta gaming for someone else to give you a heads up in a bio.

But lets say you're character is familiar with Captain Spandex. You've worked with Captain spandex before and come across a guy in the D who looks sorta like Captain Spandex (its the twirl in his hair, gives it away every time). Basically what that person is telling you is that you may know them and you can verify this through their description.

Now if you've never met captain spandex, see this, and suddenly go "AH HAH! I see you are the hero Captain Spandex! I will thrash thee!" then you are meta gaming.

Personally I don't have pet peeves, life is too short to be annoyed by things on the intertubes of nets.

Wow really? I did it on Cherry 9 ages ago, stole the idea from The Imperial's page.

It really is a great way to start developing a personality for a new character. You can search the various types on the wiki and find results. ^_^

I have a few over 100 (Though only one [an animated gif] over 200).

Not too many, but I must fix that tonight!
Well I think you're good with the over 100 but under 300 stuff for now. Looks like the wiki is going down tonight at 11 for maintenance. I saw this pop up a few days ago:

Unused & Large Image Purge This Weekend!

Looks like a bunch of stuff is going under the axe tonight. But sheesh 1 and 2 MB image files on a website.
  17. Added another story that hadn't made it into Cherry's Wiki yet:

The players name I believe was "Red Widow" Her name was in Blue so she did not show as a villian would in a PvP zone....is this a super big glitch or just some trial thing for Going Rogue being tested?

(I sent a tell but did not get a responce)
    Pictures or it didn't happen?

Truthfully if that is the case though thats a fairly big exploit. People use to do it with teleport, but that has since been fixed. I'm not aware of any new issue that would allow a player to enter the opposite side's elevator.
