The only experience i wanna turn off is the extra patrol experience, I dont wanna turn all the normal experience off too, so how do I do that ?

Actually it is a replacement, you won't get random recipes anymore from TF/Trial after I13 goes live so it will replace the way TF and Trial Poole recipes were obtained.

For me I had been pvping from the start with empusae a sonic/sonic corrupter, I pushed and pushed that corrupter to what I felt was her ultimate capability but in the end and after what must be over a year of zonal pvp i had to withdraw her from zones not because of her build/skill but because she could no longer stand up against 5 spine/reg scrappers ganking her every single time she went into the zone. The advice I got from the rest of the pvp community was to roll guess what a spines/reg scrapper or a fire?em blaster.

No wonder the pvp zones are stale and tbh i welcome any any change that allows players to move though that glass ceiling.

Well its enough to make me go back to the pvp zones to actually pvp in, the last 6 months its been me on my own in various pvp zones getting hunt badges.

I tried it on test against the less than handful of ppl in pvp, and its ok, still dynamic, got longer fights on my squishies up against the fotm builds was a little surprised too to actually achieve something and it felt good

spike damage hasnt been nerfed its just moved to different builds and different powers like shout in the sonic set.

All my toons that zonal pvp seem to come out good but then i never played fotm builds in the first place.

does anyone know if you can name bosses/hostages and if you can will that not cause a problem with alt names already in the game , like if some uses my villains name as a hero?

Other games do it all the time, im not just talking about MMOs

The way I understand it, is that game companies allow players to create their own stories, content because those games are coming to the end of their shelf life, this opens the door to unlimited and creative content and extends the games life, its a smart move, if not a sad one.

Yet missing the FACT that the Devs have said that farming is not how they wished ppl to play the game completely goes over your head.

To that I'd respond that he's playing the game for which he pays the same sub as you, me, or the OP in a way that he finds rewarding.

If anything, the low PvP population (caused by people not playing the game in the fashion for which it is intended, no doubt) is causing the subject his woes.

You're correct in that we have an inalienable right to judge people for their actions; that doesn't mean we have the right to send them abusive tells or sound them out on public boards. I've had that request, it was very politely put, from a pleasant enough guy.

All he wants is to get a badge; I don't know about you but I never see enough fodder in PvP zones to get to 400 rep, and I only have one toon that would actually be capable of taking out PvP types.

I wasn't doing anything at the time, and since I don't lose anything, felt no qualms about helping him out.

I don't I think the villain is him as he isn't playing the game in the spirit it was intended, and would have to be pretty stupid to think he is, there is nothing stopping him from doing it but equally there is nothing stopping others for judging him for it.

My view is that farming does harm the game and there is compelling arguments that lead me to think that way, in practice this doesn't stop it but it still leaves me free to judge those that do, I can be tolerant of it but not like it or respect those that do do it. I think there is a very big difference to a pug levelling team and a farm team

but thats the point im making in rolling say a sonic/sonic defender you are way better of doing that, than say a sonic/sonic rupter. But it shouldn't be that way, a rupter should at least be bring a lot more damage than it already is, and I don't see how its silly to compare when in this case you can compare like for like. I think introducing brutes/tank comparison will just confuse the matter even farther.

Vigilance is a bit [censored] but you need to add in defenders other inherent of irresistable debuffs AND higher buffs plus that inherent. Scourge hits in after the target is at 50% but you get no guarantee that it will until the target is at such low health that a normal hit would kill it anyway!!!!Scourge I have notice is much more affective on fast animation powers, less so on slow ones.

Plus to further add insult to injury I understand BU on a defender adds even more damage to their powers. But I haven t seen figures for this. And it does seem odd as a rupter caps at 500% and a defender at 400%, but it is a lot harder for a rupter to get there than a defender.

Anyway I have said what I wanted to say and hopefully its bought it out into the open which is really all I wanted to do apart from that I would just be repeating myself.

and yet for like for like builds you are better off rolling a defender and not a rupter.

yet compare like for like builds and rupters fall short. That just places fire or ice as the only viable damage sets what about the rest? When rupters are meant to be the main range damage AT in villains ???

I do understand that rupters are able to do a lot of damage but that statement is only true for a few sets not ALL sets. All to often in threads like these ppl are really keen to point that out, yet it leaves other builds struggling like some guilty secret that shouldn't be talked about.
