  1. From what I recall there was a recent mention on one of the Ustream or Facebook chats that they were not going to impliment this because it broke something really badly in the game.
  2. Sounds like a lot of fun, unfortunately I don't get in until Saturday morning. Somebody whomp a kobold for me.

P.S.: I know you didn't do it on purpose, but if there is a Fall Summit and you guys are planning something for Friday night, please let those of us flying know there's at least a possibility when you make the Summit announcement.
  3. Are you guys forgetting the 400-550 PP you get every month as a VIP subscriber that Free and Premium players don't get? You want discounts on stuff on top of that?

I could be wrong, but I thought they showed the original, helicopter-spotting zombies noshing on a horse at the beginning of the episode. I took that to be the horse Rick rode in on and assumed that was their way of showing us that it was a flashback to early in Season 1.

As for trying to find other survivors, that's the last thing I'd want to do if I was with a small group of competent, trustworthy survivors during an apocalpyse, zombie or otherwise. It would take a lot more supplies, and strong, perhaps authoritarian, leadership to keep a large group of survivors together. Unless that large group already had a well-established and sustainable infrastructure, and/or a strong but benevolent leader, they would likely see any outsiders as a drain on their supplies and a threat to their own survival. If the large group was just getting by, it's more likely they would kill the small group for any meager supplies/ammo they might have, rather than welcome them.
  5. Hmmm... that might be too good to pass up. Let me see what I have on Virtue that I can get rid of, or if you want, trade for that name. I'll let you know tonight, OK?
  6. I noticed something weird over the weekend that might have contributed to this problem. I was slotting enhancements on a character, and I kept having trouble because the cursor was grabbing the enhancement in the tray slot just to the right of the one I wanted.

For example, I would have a damage enhancement to the right of a defense enhancement, and when I tried to slot the defense enhancement, the power would be grayed out and then I'd realize I grabbed the damage enhancement. At first I thought I just wasn't paying attention, but after it happened to me 5 or 6 separate times, I started to suspect there was a problem either with my mouse or the user interface.

    Horror movies

    The Shining
    Paranormal Activity
Halloween (the original has surprisingly little gore for being the first "Slasher" film)
    The Ring
Alien (just have her hide her eyes during the spaghetti dinner scene)
  9. The helicopter could have been a news crew taking footage of Atlanta or something.

IIRC, it was a news helicopter in the comic book that acted as a catalyst in the confrontation between Rick's group and the Governor's group.

Considering that every other commercial these days if for Progressive, Geico, Farmers Direct, Allstate, etc., etc., etc. I would be very surprised if any insurance company raised your rates based on an accident that was not your fault, and that cost them nothing. If it truely was a scratch, it would probably come out of VooDoo Girl's deductible.

If I was in that situation, and they raised my rates, I'd complain, and if they didn't lower them after that, I threaten to drop them.
  11. Why would your insurance go up if they hit you in the back of your car and they were at fault?

Hit and run is a crime, and can be a pretty serious one. What if they'd hit someone who wasn't as good a driver and that person had crashed? What if the driver who hit you was intoxicated and makes a habit out of driving drunk?

I've been the victim of hit and run twice and didn't catch the person who did it either time. The first time was when I was at my job during college and someone sideswiped my parents' car out on the street and kept going. It cost my parents hundreds of dollars to have that repaired.

The second time it happend was when an a-hole ran a redlight and hit my car. Fortunately I was able to slam on the brakes and they only took out most of my grill and my right front headlight/fender. Unfortunately, the car wasn't drivable after they hit me, and because they just kept going I never got their license plate number. Thanks to them, I was out my $500 deductible, but even though my insurance covered the rest of the $1200+ repair bill, my rates didn't go up. Thank goodness I had a witness who saw the whole thing as she was coming out of a restaurant on the corner of that intersection.

So yeah, if you're going to go to the trouble, not to mention the danger, of chasing someone down at 85 mph, you absolutely should report the jackhole to the police.
  12. Thanks to an untimely, but welcome visit from an out-of-town friend, I didn't get to play nearly as much as I would've liked this 2xXP weekend. In all I think I got 21 levels spread across four characters, including one I took from 22-32.

My TF nightmare story of the weekend...

All weekend I was trying to get on a Renault SF with my dom - the only redside character I was desperate to level. All weekend it was the same story - no interest. Then, last night I ran into a player who was trying to level to 25 so he could start one. I joined his team, and once he got to 25, he started recruiting. And wouldn't you know it, another group was recruiting for a Renault at the same time, so it took like 15 minutes to get 8 players (after one level 6 joined and had to drop when we didn't realize his level)

We finally start the SF and the mobs are all +6 to us because the leader was only 25. So then we all have to quit and rejoin with the level 40 player as the leader. We go through two or three missions, and they aren't going super fast, but they're OK, and the leader announces, "OK guys, I'm gonna go, thanks for the team."

We were all like, "What do you mean you're going to go, this is a SF and there are like seven or eight more missions?" He replied that he didn't know that, and he stayed. For one more mission. After the fourth mission, he and another player dropped. We didn't know if they dc'ed or what, but we decided to slog on. It was slow, difficult, painful going with only six of us with scores of deaths and multiple team wipes. I don't recall how long it took, be we started an hour before Walking Dead started and we were still playing while Comic Book Men was on 2-1/2 hours later.

The best part is, on the next to last mission, the MIA leader pops back up. We asked where he was and he said something like, "Oh, I went to get something to eat and then took a nap." We let him help us finish the next to last mission and then kicked him. And I was very glad of it even though it made the final mission that much more painful. No way was I interested in giving him a full level end of SF bonus when he missed over half the SF and was one of the main reasons it took us close to 3 hours to finish.

    Your DXP Plans

Didn't get to play as much as I'd hoped because a friend was in town this weekend, so we went out Saturday night and hung out again yesterday afternoon. Also, after multiple attempts to get a Renault SF going from Friday afternoon on, I joined one last night and it took three hours!

So, my accomplishments were rather modest compared to some:

    WP/Fire tank: 22 > 32
    Stone/WP brute: 28 > 32
    Fire/Mace tank: 29 > 32
    Grav/Mind Dom: 26 > 31

And that's still probably better than I've done on some 2xXP weekends in the past.

Oh, and it's true what they say, redside really is pretty dead, even on Virtue.
  14. See, I don't remember disliking the comic book version of Lorainne at all. Maybe it was because Shane died so early in the comic book, so there wasn't that opportunity for her to be all flippy-floppy like she is on the show. TV show Lori is just awful. You don't want Carl going out and killing zombified versions of your ex-lovers, how about you keep a %$@#ing eye on him once in a while?

Loved seeing Michonne - I didn't expect her to show up until around the middle of next season. It's nice that her an Andrea will get a little one-on-one time, but I have no idea how they're ever going to hook up with the rest of the group. Running through the woods, Andrea probably made it 3-5 miles from the farm, but the group in the vehicles were driving for over an hour before they ran out of gas, so they could conceivably be anywhere from 30-60 miles away.

Though it's hard to tell because it took them until dawn to find each other on the highway, so once again, either the Earth in this universe rotates MUCH faster, or maybe their definition of an hour is far different from ours. Oh well, I guess that nit has been picked to death. It's going to be a long 7 months to wait for the show to return.

The good news is there's a forum member with the handle Spacey and they have 448 posts. The bad news is...

This might be a good weekend for them to return though. I'd also send the person a PM too. Can't hurt.

    Gotcha. So there's a chance...

  17. I guess the morning downtime was just for server maintenance?

This is the first time they've done a pet with a buff, did not know where to set the bar. always easiest to set it too high and pull it back down. The price will be re-evaluated if it doesn't sell. Everything in the store goes on sale at some point in time. Maybe not the pet, but seeing it in the future it might be lower price based on feedback and reaction.

LOL, what? Everything in the store goes on sale, except maybe not this, except look for it in the future at a lower price maybe.

Something to do after 1 or 2 more slots have opened up.
Wait, phasing what out entirely? Shards?

To elaborate further on this, you will not completely waste uses of the Experienced power (or whatever it's called) this weekend, but you will waste its potential because while Patrol XP is not consumed during 2xXP weekends, it also doesn't "grow".

This means if you use a charge of the Experienced power to give yourself half a level of Patrol XP at level 15 tomorrow afternoon and play that character all weekend, by the time they shut off 2xXP, that half a level might be down to half a bar, or less, even if you're never defeated.

See, I think that scenario is one of the least plausible, aside from magic. The possibility that a virus that evolved independently of life on earth being deadlyvto us is actually pretty slim. Though I suppose it could be something engineered to affect us bt a sentient alien intelligence.

O...K. I didn't know you could repeat any of the bank missions.
  23. Looks like it's gonna be a late night at the salt mines for me, so with Shakeup out, I suggest we postpone until next week. Unless Mox and Tally want to duo tonight.

I am really starting to hate this badge.

I never paid attention to it as I was leveling my badger, so now I have to either run mayhem missions with other people, or I have to use my second account. Teaming with other people is problematic since only the person who clicks the last bomb gets credit.

Using alts is also a pain because I have to run all the papers to get the mayhems, and then hope one of the side missions is an arson mission. The last three mayhems I have run - two IP and one Talos, had no arson side missions.

And the last credit I did get for the badge got wiped out when the servers went down for morning maintenance a couple weeks ago, and the GMs refused to reinstate it because they could not find any indication that I had received the credit.

I really wish they would change this badge so at least everyone who clicks any bomb gets credit, or even everyone who is on the mission gets credit, regardless of whether they click a bomb or not. I just don't understand the reasoning behind making this badge so hard to get.
