I like it ^^ and there's nothing wrong with styling things after someone else - I mean, that's why artists have something called "influences" right?

Thats why when we compare bands we have a natural reaction to say "they sound like <insert band> with a little bit of <insert other band>" - as long as you're making it your own in the end, there's nothing wrong with it.

As for the goggles... honestly if you don't like em, I'd personally leave em off - but then I'm big on taking small liberties with costumes to get a bettter scene >.> which may or may not be a good thing.
