Oh I know - I'm just trying to keep anyone from making poor assumptions (ie: "She's just brainwashed by her parents/doesn't actually do the work") It's entirely possible she does what she does, and does so of her own choosing.
It's also possible her parents drive her to perfection and make her paint what she paints <x.x>
Either way - we don't know much. -
You've definitely come a long way Aaron hehe <^o^>

Awww she's such a cute, brainwashed little Christian zombie.... I wonder if her childhood is a living nightmare of non child-like things.
I can believe that she has natural talent. That and hard work will turn anyone (who had the natural talent) into a stunning artist/composer/musician/dancer/etc...
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't call her brainwashed necessarily - we don't really 'know' her at all. It is easy to infer that she's got rather... controlling... parents - but perhaps she really does enjoy this kind of thing and that's the call she has.
That said - I expect her parents really are rather strict; the religious nature of the paintings I can't see why it bothers some people though. Religion has been the subject of artwork since well yeah, basically forever. Despite what people may think, you can make some decisions as young as that age, including about religion - so I can wholly believe it's possible that that's exactly what she wanted to do.
In the end my concern is more about any sort of pushing her parents may have done - as really, honestly, I have known far too many who for whatever reasons feel the need to live their dream through their children <x.x> Or for that matter, keep their children from realizing a dream they never succeeded at either.
(Both of my parents have been highly unsupportive of my own art *shock* - I ain't nearly that great; but it is pretty upsetting to get 0 support <x.x>
Blagh, anyways, I guess I'm just taking issue with the idea of her being a "christian zombie" - we don't know anything about her beyond the subject of her art and a tiny blurb that a parent could well have made up. There are indeed plenty of moron Christians out there - but there surprisingly intelligent ones as well. -
I shall do as requested <O.O> Lest I be beaten to death by aquatic treats I would normally fry!
-
-
<O_O>; Please no troutsmacking!! <T_T> I'll be good! I'll be GOOD! <T_T>;; Or try anyway lol >.>b
<^-^> try to keep you all updated to - I may put up the flats for pic one later, we shall see! -
Hehe, thanks <^o^> I hope to have the first pic colored 'soon' >.< the flats are done so now its all about shading and whatnot.
Pic 2 has details yet to be done <x.x> but do them I shall! Then I'll get em printed on nice paper and frame em <^_^> -
<^o^> Hey all!
I have another sketch! Now its the husband's turn mwahaha <^o^> I am *really* proud of the way this one is comming.
This sketch isn't done yet - but what I have yet to add is going to be a royal *PAIN IN THE [censored]* <T.T> So I want to show what I have thus far.
Akotha vs The Dragon
The two pictures as you may have guessed, tie together <@_@> Ivorael stands atop a ruined wall, casting a flamespell on the dragon (which has ignited its wing) - while Akotha plunges to the ground pumping it full of arrows as he prepares to reprise Gandolf's role from the Lord of the Rings after being snagged by its tail.
<X_X> I get to do a billion teensy tiny scales now! WEEEEEEE. I am not excited <'x'> but it'll be worth it if they like the piece so...
Also - this is my first dragon ever. In fact - it is probably only the 10th non-human organism I've drawn ever >.< Thus I'm rather proud of it, despite it being kinda eh >.<;
What do you all think? -
...
[censored] her and her little dog too <;_;> -
<;_;> Pep isnt more smiley than me? <T.T> Is she? <;-;>
<_ _> I have so many though <~.~>
(Sorry <,< -
AARON!!!!! <T.T>
<;_;> Why do you have to add music when my headphones (my only means of getting sound) are dead? <T.T> WHY!? <;_;> You are unfair! -

I dunno Derek. Are YOU ready to do commissions? Me, I'm not ready for that yet. Being paid means the client gets to be picky and expect something in a timely fashion, so I'm pulling a dragonberry and not doing commissions :P That way I can be lazy, and draw how i want
[/ QUOTE ]
My opinion exactly <,<
Drawing for me at least, is theraputic. When I *have* to do it... it becomes massively stressful. If I ever do commissions, they'll be of the one-off variety. (Basically, I'd have a link somewhere saying essentially "If you like my art and would like a commission, contact me Here - I may or may not be interested but you'll never know if you don't ask!"
That way I get to keep things on my terms. Because frankly, I lose inspiration *fast* - and when that happens having to re-draw a pic can be downright painful. Only my Christmas project has managed to get me motivated to re-do it a 3rd time; and that's because its for someone I *really* like >.< as they've been a great friend to me for 4 years. -
so cool >.<
I wish I didn't have a headache so I could use my verbal skills to give you an accurate portrayal of just *how* cool I think that is... but my head is going nuts and has been all day >< suffice to say - that's really awesome Scarf! I hope to have mine done by the end of January - it should be done far sooner than that - but right now I'm still doing Christmas stuff >.< I'm sluggish llike that. Still, the Hermit just needs shading, so it shouldn't be TOO long. -
<^_^> MORE ARTISTES! <,<! Excellent <^o^> I shall watch and wait and enjoy good art whilst working on my own <^.^>
Welcome to the fanart forums <@_@> Where the inmates are as frinedly as can be <^o^> -
!! <,< !! PEP CAT <^o^>
<. .> Hehe, <-- in same SG with Pep <^o^> Cool stuff! -
You do really well with it scarf >.< extremely well. I especially like the trees and the face in the upper left corner.
-
<^o^> I cannot wait!!!
<. .> *camps out in the thread* -
Oh yeah <X_X> Real fun - much akin to root canals and glass splinters!
Nevertheless <'x'> I was pleased with the look int he end hehe <^o^> Thanks! -

I submit Obedient.
If you want want to make him a gift for the ladies in december, there is his winter outfit.
This character was started as a lark for the ladies in the Sg he is part of, and now is my highest level tanker at 22. The ladies sure liked him.
Edit : I my computer, at least, the direct links are playing funny - either scroll down or reload if you don't get the guy in the leather hood.

You know, it could just be me, but Clarus Replicant (scroll up from Obedient, for you folks that didn't) is way hotter....
...course, that might just be my thing for white and gold, but...
[/ QUOTE ]
No, no. Jack of Diamonds, on that page, is hotter.
Trust me, I know "hot".

And here I thought you were all about the hammocks <^,~> lol
(Sorry <,< <X_X> Though I admit to being temporarily blinded by the shiny buttocks of... shine) -

I think my newest hero would better fit the Calender. As i'm told he is more hotter then Mr. Awesome (and less creepy smiley).
Captain Cosmic

Not that Mr. Awesome isn't, well, awesome but I'm loving the Captain there
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, that costume is pretty sweet!
