I have another sketch! Now its the husband's turn mwahaha <^o^> I am *really* proud of the way this one is comming.
This sketch isn't done yet - but what I have yet to add is going to be a royal *PAIN IN THE [censored]* <T.T> So I want to show what I have thus far.
Akotha vs The Dragon
The two pictures as you may have guessed, tie together <@_@> Ivorael stands atop a ruined wall, casting a flamespell on the dragon (which has ignited its wing) - while Akotha plunges to the ground pumping it full of arrows as he prepares to reprise Gandolf's role from the Lord of the Rings after being snagged by its tail.
<X_X> I get to do a billion teensy tiny scales now! WEEEEEEE. I am not excited <'x'> but it'll be worth it if they like the piece so...
Also - this is my first dragon ever. In fact - it is probably only the 10th non-human organism I've drawn ever >.< Thus I'm rather proud of it, despite it being kinda eh >.<;
What do you all think?

Wow, wow, wow! I'm really really liking those colors so far! The fire is so sweet ( I suck at it 
) And I love the mist-kinda'-thingy ( Don't know what to call it )coming from the water. If you say you suck, instead of a trout, you'll get a rainbow trout comin' after ya! <O.O>
I also really like the pose of the dude in the second pic. His ears are truly pwnage and the whole body is very well done.
Y'konw, you don't have to cover the dragon with scales... You could have like big plates covering his skin... But, up to you

Really nice, Mist! Would love to see them side by side, I bet it's going to look fabulous when finished. The dragon's head looks great and I like the colors on her outfit. You must post it all finished, there are too many fish throwing threats being bandied about!

suggestion? for the fire f/x....try drawing the hand per normal...then layer the fire over it with opacity turned down a lil. although, to be honest what you have looks fine to me...just an option I thought I would through out there. ~

Now that is patience! You did a good job with those scales, I especially like how they get bigger and bigger the closer to the viewer the tail gets. Awesome.

<@_@> However, after 3 days of arduous sketching - I *Finally* have an image I am truely proud of <^_^> This will be the final version of my christmas project (or should I say; of half of it).
I just gotta color it now <,<! Man, seriously, I can't describe how long this took >_< But it was worth it, and I feel like I learned alot <^_^> I know I've said I'm going to be doing more realistic work - and I am; but the christmas project was started in anime format, and thus must be completed as such. Expect to see my realism really show up more mid-January after I've finished this and the Tarot card project >.>b
