Lol >.>;; <.<;;
<'x'>;;
Glad you like it <^,^> hopefully when its finished it'll be much improved from its current state; but I was so pleased how it was going and its been so long since I had my rump in gear >.<;; I figured "oh... wth why not!" -

Actually, that's the rare substance 'DoesntMatter'.
It's a lot like your typical comic book materials, like Vibranium, Adamantium, Inobtanium, etc, but it's only special ability is to make characters think it's not really important.

You so so so owe me:
1 New Keyboard
1 New Monitor
1 Mt. Dew <,<
I laughed so hard <;_;> my nose is still burning! <T_T> -
But a massage after a day saving the world is nice!
This is very very WIP >.< but I was really happy how its come out so far. Its the first piece of art I've done in a good month where I felt like going as far as color with it. Honestly its been hard to motivate myself to pick up the pencils lately, but I made myself do it earlier and well... I'm pretty happy how its coming out.
I made some obvious mistakes of course; but for once, I'm not beating myself up for them. >.< I keep telling myself "I'm learning - you are not an expert by any stretch, thus its OK to make mistakes if you learn from them" - so thats what I'm doing.
I'm also trying out some stylistic variations here and there, just goofing around in some aspects. Like the lips for instance, I wanted to give them a bit more body than I usually do, who knows if it'll amount to anything, but at least for this picture its working out.
Still need to add shades, some highlighting, clean up some of the dirty spots (stupid pencil dust <-.->; I get too enthusiastic when drawing I think!)
The big problem I see is Remn. I hid too much of his face <_ _> and he's a bit too small given he's 6'3". Now admittedly - she's sitting in his lap while he rubs her shoulders, but still, 4'11" catgirl should be a bit smaller looking even in that circumstance I'd think. Plus he should be a bit broader in the shoulders and *perhaps* a bit more muscular. (He's not supposed to be uber-ripped or anything, but right now he's reminding me a bit of Shinji Ikari. Much as I liked that kid *the only one who did* it just doesn't suit Remn)
>.> Well anyways, hope you like it! Comments, critiques, death threats welcome <,< Well ok not death threats <;_;> Don't kill me I'm just a loser artist! <T,T> -
I like it! Really I just like NKK's style, its such an awesome cross between "sexay" and "cute as heck" >.<; Congratulations Soul_Train!

Hooray!! <^_^> *dances wif gamma* >_< So glad! -
Thanks Persona <~.~>; Trying to get myself together over here. Need to get myself back into drawing, but for some reason that's been very very slow lately. I dunno.
Overall I'm probably doing better than I have in a long time, but I'm just pretty chaotic inside <x.x> so I'm not making much sense and not getting anything done <;.;> -
Ok ok ok >.> I'll stay! I mean twist my arm whydon'tcha!
>.>;;
Actually in seriousness, I probably shouldn't have typed that before <x.x> at the time it did feel like the best decision, but sometimes when I'm in a bad mood I don't think things all the way through. so I'm not leaving just yet - though I'm not sure how much I'll be in game. I'll be around on the forums for sure though. Stupid me for posting whilst depressed <-.->; Sorry again for any inconviences/going away parties I missed.
<T_T> *dumb squirrel is dumb* -
<O.O>;;
<o.o>
Fantabulous! <@.@> dats all I can come up with! -
I am so sorry Gamma <_ _> prayers with ya here
-
Eh, only a very few people really DO get alot of traffic. Such is the nature of being an artist-in-training honestly.
I guess what I'm trying to say man, is try not to take it personally <;.;> It's worth bumping once in awhile too; sometimes it just moves too fast. Often though people are just busy and unless something REALLY blows them out of the water, you'll only get a few comments.
That said, it IS pretty darn good work man. -
*Sigh* <;_;> Well guys - I've decided I need to unsubscribe again <x.x> Very very sorry about having to make this an abortive return. Lots of reasons for it; but the chief one is simply that I'm not yet 'back' in the game so to speak <;.;> It still feels a bit tired for me.
And thats OK - because I can always come back ya know? I plan to even; I won't even be uninstalling most likely.
But I wanted to let everyone know "what's up" and why the squirrel will be once again silent for a good bit. As with before, I'll post art on Deviant, so I expect to still see many of ya <^.~> but for those who I won't <;.;> I shall miss ya.
Tundy, if ya reads this >.< *big hugs* Got lotsa love for the Otter Queen! <^.^> (What can I say? I dig good peoples. Or good otters!)
Anyways, see ya all around, sorry again for any irritation caused by my abrupt re-departure <;_;> and especially sorry to Persona, cause now I'm in the SG and I won't be playing just yet.
Hopefully I can work stuff out in RL soon though; and I'll be more interested in playing.
Good luck all! -
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO for Graver <^,^> !!!!
-
Ooo <@.@> Coolies!
<^_^> Ya know, I'd love to have something similar but with just one archetype symbol dead center. Definitely qualifies for this section imho! -
Well <@_@> I haven't been doing much art lately unfortunately...
But its cause I was paintin this!
Tis my very very first miniature for my small Warhammer 40k army! <^,^> I'm so happy with it, despite that I painted it with crappy Testors model paint <;.;> Sorry the pics are so bad, my only RL friend's cellphone camera at work. Sadly, best I had available to take pics <~.~>;;
Couple more pics:

Danke <^_^> I hope you like the technique too! I'm quite enjoying practicing <@_@> if nothing else, it lets you scribble and claim you're making art <^,^> *makes a circle* WEE!
(Old-timey people around here may just get the reference there too <,< -
Thanks Rowr, Larissa <^_^> appreciate it!
Blood_Wolffe - I really can't say that anyone "needs" it, as I'm no expert <;.;> My art is far from great and I really don't consider myself an authority - but that said, its a technique I've always been told is important to understand, and I do find that my work has been improving since I've started experimenting with it.
So essentially what I'm saying is - it's a good thing to learn <@_@> but as to whether you personally need it I don't feel comfortable saying <;_;> cause I dunno! -
Oh <@.@> Gestural drawing is where you basically look at your subject and just kind of let your hand go. You don't set up 'frames' or anything of that nature, instead relying on creating a flowing pattern of lines to get a much more natural and organic feel.
At least thats how I remember my art teacher describing it to me way back when I was first exposed to the idea >.>
At the time though, I didn't listen to her cause she was kinda a [censored] to me <;_;> and so I failed to learn much in that class because I was stubborn.
So I'm trying to pick it up now as it seems a pretty fundemental skill >.> Plus its fun! -
Oooo <^_^> Tundy got mentioned too! <^,^> Huzzah for Soul Train and the Otter Queen!
