  1. I finished my drawing of Rad Rhino. Please critique, I'm new at this stuff so I could use pointers on what to make better next time.

Oh and I threw the background in last minute, didn't want to spend another hour to put one together, was focusing on Rhino hisself.

TA has set up a great journal entry with a list of people that are actively taking commissions. Not everyone is on the list, but it's quite a compilation.
  3. I've never found a scrapper secondary nearly as fun as DA. However, I don't think I'd like it on a brute, for many of the reasons above, the primary being AVs and my tank mindframe of brute playage.
  4. oh and the rose petals are great to play around with since they fly around from different powers going off
  5. you're in the art forums, we're all costume junkies. and the tux tails with the shiny lace stuff would make for a good bug style folded wings.
  6. how do you get random people to make free art for you without you asking?

    WIP - Rad Rhino

yeah, i originally wanted a roar, but ended up with a "scared looking towards the heavens for answers" kind of face. Then I redrew it and managed to fix the angry.

    WIP - Rad Rhino

Sketched this last night. Got to the scanner and didn't like the face so I sketched a new face real quick for replacing it when i start the digital. Gonna begin coloring tonight. I present to you, Rad Rhino
  9. thanks for all the great suggestions. I've been standing in poses in front of mirrors (when my roommates aren't around) and taking pictures of my hands for references, and searching googleimages and devart for poses. I just figured there might be a better way, but it sounds like i'm on the right path and now practice is what i need.
  10. Ok, so after drawing a few things I now know what I need to improve on next. First, dynamic poses. I do alright if I see a picture of someone else standing there in a pose and can translate my character's body type to it. I suck at getting proportions done properly without a visual cue, so any suggestions has to how to draw the positions i visualize in my head properly?

and secondly, everyone talks about the ink'd versions. What is the step done to do that? Do you pencil something out and then take a pen over it before scanning? And does that help more than just drawing it dark in pencils before scanning?

    Thanks
  11. yeah, i have one guy I was commissioning that has dissappeared completely and hasn't responded, but he didn't want money up front so I'm not missing out on anything. Still wish he'd do it though so I could have it.

    Awesome! I want one!

I'll trade you one for one of you lvl 50's

I would seriously drop Rad Rhino on you if it were possible to do that. I'll likely never play him again. Control isn't my style.
  13. i'd say put them all in. Even the non-story arcs often have neat little tidbits of information about background info of enemy groups/storylines. and that's honestly one of my favorite things to learn. When I learned about Rikti-pocks and their secret I was in awe and had to share it with SGmates.
  14. i've only drawn 3 things and nobody's ever requested i sketch something for them, let alone asked to pay me for it. sorry TA
  15. awesome! thanks a ton! they all look great!
  16. Here is my submission

First time using layers in photoshop. They're nifty. Anyways, I really tried to keep it from looking too good to give it a webcomic feel. Hence the quick scribbles and lots of paint bucketing. But at the same time I also tried to give each character in it their proper look.

Oh, and it helps if you have a bit of background knowledge about Rularuu the Ravager. This picture explains the size, though I used Ruladak for a color scheme just cause he looks neater to me.
  17. my scrapper please

spine/dark, very aggressive when angry for emotion if you want to do it that way

    Sexiest CoX Art?

isn't it allowable to post a link to the artists devart and say the name, rather than a direct link?

    6 foot pictures

This seems like a sweet idea, but at the same time it'd be awkward bringing a girl home the first time.
  20. wow, you got his only post ever, impressive
  21. oh my...

great job with the coloring on the entire thing
