Customs, I am very proud of your for that. I gave up Soda for 3 months based on a bet I made with a frenchmen.
You see the frenchmen believed that americans are all over weight because of the soda we drink. I told him there are plenty of other reasons as to why americans are phat, and so the bet was born. I would prove to him that I would not lose any of my flub, so I didn't drink soda for the 3 months he was here.
Turns out we were both right. I lost weight, but none of my grown man fat.

Now that we got the ability to shoot fireworks into the air, Its only 4 days until the new year. Has anyone decided on what their CoH New Year's Resolutions are going to be?
I'm still trying to figure mine out, I will update this thread once I have something completely unobtainable in mind. -
I am always amazed at how easy CoH is when you are a team of people who know how to play their toons. The time I did the MoM before this it was a lesson in impossibility. Today it was a piece of delicious apple strudel.
I was put on "tank Maelstrom" duty during both TPNs. I was like "whatevs, I'm a supar tank, this fool can't hurt me." And then he hit me for 1000 damage. hrm. Luckily he fell for the oldest trick in the book, a tray full of purples. I wasn't sure what to do with him so I just had him chase me around the map.
I got 1 uncommon in our first run, a very rare in the second run, and then a rare in the MoM. coming out of that I was able to go from a t1 vorpal to a t3, and then upgrade my rularuu lore to a t2, so I can't complain. Good times.
The story in the MoM blew my mind. I can't help but feel bad for Tyrant. In everything they have done with Praetoria they have pointed to Emperor Cole really cares about his people and is doing everything he has done with only the best intentions in mind. He isn't "evil."
Right now I'm curious as to why did Tyrant invade Primal earth in the first place? -
Can I be "Cyborg Statesman?"
Then I would be able to turn evil and they would have to bring back the real Statesman due to declining sales! -

I got a tank who would not mind rolling some hardcore TPN. -

I don't see these 2 months as a bad thing, what it really means is that he got into life's early access head start. Just think about all the extra time Miniturg has to earn badges! -

This is a description of one NPC's encounter with the new Shivans, with some fine details not supported by the game engine. The only nod to actual lore is the acknowledgment that these are different - somehow - from the Shivans we've been fighting and sometimes using as debuffers since CoV went live, six years and fifteen issues ago. Notably absent, both from this description and the in-game models, is any indication that the new Shivans incorporate human remains. -
I plan on creating a toon on the VIP server, but I don't plan on transferring anyone. There is no way to transfer the base my SG has built, and it ain't worth losing.

These games have proven that f2p can flip the game and make it 40x more successful then it was as a subscription. Considering that CoH is doing the exact same format as Champions Online, and CO had 10k people playing it over steam on the weekend. There is no place to go but up. -

In my story though I didn't whine or be "cranky" about the guy going against what I set forth in the beginning of the mission. Instead I took matters into my own hands and I played the game the way I wanted to play it.
The very best part is that Lieran was the leader of the team and was far too nice to boot him, but she crashed and it went to Tuxedogin, who was completely indifferent to my plight of removing said person from the team. But wouldn't you know it, he crashed as well so the star fell to Taxee who was just as annoyed at the guy as I was.
So at the end of the mission, right before we completed the Task Force (an hour of our time) the star came into Taxee's control and we booted the guy from out team. He did not get any credit for the TF, or a reward.
But I wasn't rude to him

Why do you always have to try and drag up the forum drama after everything has been settled? I mean Dr. Geminiman was able to come here on the forums to whine about how emo he gets when people don't run their attack chain past him before the mission and the freedom community at large was able to sit him in the corner with his dunce cap warn at a jaunty angle.

Like the other day I was running a lgtf. I wanted to do a shard run, some of the team said they wanted to do a stealth run, the rest of the team was indifferent. I go about in the first mish killing everything as normal, when one guy decides to stealth the entire mish and spawns the clockwork king, which finishes the mission. I was pissed, I'm here trying to get me some shards to build my t4 damage alpha slot.
Luckily when the group did the team tp to get the guy and the NPC back to the door the npc was stuck on me. So I went back through the mission killing stuff and getting shards just like I wanted. It seemed like a fair trade. The guy that wanted to stealth was able to stealth the mission, and then I was able to go through the mission and kill everything like I wanted.
Once I was satisfied with killing everything I took the NPC back to the door (where the stealth half of the team had been waiting) and we moved on to the next mission. -

Also, Buffy did not get terrible until around the 6th and 7th season, while the 5th season of Angel was the best one of the series. We can surmise from this information that Firefly would have been a phenomenal show all the way up through the 5th season. The 6th season would have been ok with a few shining moments, and the 7th season would have been pretty aweful.
Its like with the Lego games, or a Bioware game. You have no idea if the next game will be good, but considering they have never done a bad one you can assume the next one will be at least the same quality. -

Over the weekend several Hami Raids were run. All of them using League mode. None of them using Destiny powers....
AND GUESS WHAT...
NO LAG
So it turns out that all the lag in the hami raid, and by lag I am talking about the slow down that is experienced during gameplay (IE. when 50 people are all in the same place with 15 of them casting AM at the same time) is caused by destiny buffs.
You gotta be on to something, I think you need to write up a bug report to the devs because that has been 7 years of hami raids with lag in them and it could have all been avoided if we had just stopped using destiny buffs.

Why are all these masters ran at eastern time?
Does nobody on the pacific coast want to get a masters run in?

You know what would be interesting, if you dropped badges in pvp and I could collect your masters run badge. -
Considering that you could make a Dual pistol blaster, corrupter, defender, and mastermind (thugs are the two guns that started it all!) it seems that you could make a pretty decent repeat offenders style team that can handle even the mastery of TFs.
What are the secondaries that you have seen the most often with dual pistol characters?
I have been mulling over making a dual pistol/traps corr, would you suggest that that is the greatest idea ever?
