  1. It works pretty well in the iTrials, hits like a truck, and depending on epic power/patron powers you can fill in the AoE to suit your fancy. I went /soul for the added perk of Darkest Night(and obviously Gloom). Only real problems are the typical problem mobs, Arachnos, DE, Cims(due to NO -def res) and Carnies(MIs and DRMs). Aside from that, its pretty smashy, decent mitigation from powersink(and darkest night if you count that) and spinning strike. All in all pretty solid in most PvE environments
  2. This is what I have been running for a bit now. She is probably my favorite toon, as she is pretty much a walking slaughterhouse.

    No apologies needed, I will gladly defer to Werner, Dechs and yourself on matters of DA slotting, as I don't actually have a playable /DA toon as of yet(last attempt was a MA/DA scrap that made it to 32, but endurance was a nightmare even heavily slotted for end redux in attacks) so by no small terms am I an expert on it.

  4. To be honest, it was only a baseline build for the OP to work off of. I did not build it to be a super high end build, just a decent upgrade to his posted build, and not be overly expensive with over 2 billion inf worth of purples.

    I do fully agree with Desmodos though, and it could be altered to be a lot better then the baseline model I posted.
  5. I took a look at your build, and tweaked it a bit. Keeping your general powers where they were, but threw in some IO sets. You will have much better defense for s/l/e/n (one small purp inspiration from soft cap). And I threw in a few +recharge sets. Also swapped a few of the HOs from Cytos to Enzymes as they grant a better bonus.

    As for incarnate powers, I would stick with Ageless, you can't go wrong with the recovery and the recharge. Though on the interface, I don't see the difference if it's fire damage or not, diamagnetic leaves a glowing yellow halo around the targets...maybe to me that kinda takes away from a dark theme. And you can always explain that it isn't exactly fire damage as its more of a 'soul burn' or something.
    Lore is a tough one though. The closest thing I can think of is the storm elementals, because they kind of look like nictus fluffies.

  6. Well, truth be told, I was using the Erads bonus endurance and the energy/neg defense. Not a big loss there though, since I wasn't close enough to hit softcap with a small purp insp.

    ToF was just a slot mule pretty much. I like what you came up with though, and did a little tweaking to chase a little more recharge trying for perma soul drain. I didn't think dark consumption was overly needed with the amount of endurance management elec armor provides(it also has such a small radius I did not think it was worthwhile trying to use it as an attack). So, here's the tweaked build

  7. Wow, I am actually shocked. Usually when a build gets posted for some suggestions, there is usually at least one or two responses in the first day. So, I take it this is an acceptable build? I couldn't really find any build similar in the brute forum to work off of(though my search-fu might have been weak).

    So, I guess my question for this build is, can I get the S/L defense soft capped without gimping it and keeping the soul patron powers? (just as a side note, infamy is not an issue, and I do have the required HO's and PvP recipe)

    Yeah, probably part of my problem was not using the inspirations liberally. I had gotten so used to not using them on that toon except on rare occasions since she's soft capped s/l/e/n and has capped s/l res.

    Thats where I heard it, back in the topic about softcapping /inv. Somewhere I think he posted his build and it was a dm/inv

    Solo ITF?

    I had heard awhile back that a dm/inv had done the ITF solo.
    I have a good build myself, and made an attempt, and got all the way to to the nictified Rommy, but couldn't make it past there. Is there a trick that I'm missing(like some spot that the nictus clouds cant follow Rommy) or was this 'solo' attempt by that scrapper done with a tank in tow to taunt the nictus clouds?

    I'd figure I'd post here before I really went searching for a video or something.

    Just to clarify, the main problem I was having was getting whacked with that autohit power one of the clouds does.
