My prediction of the release is for the first few weeks there will be nothing but "Play my arc" teams. Which will tail off as people get fed up of playing arcs specifically designed to either get everyone killed, or rack up huge amounts of tickets. Then normal teaming will start to ebb back in.

So is this still on course? Will teaming and normal missions be hearing the death knoll this wednesday?

I have had a simular experience. Basically there system is rubbish and goofs up quite spectacularly from time to time. The only way to unlock your card is to raise a ticket with them in the resolution center of your main NCSoft account. Eventually someone will misunderstand what you have asked and direct you to the help system. When you restate the problem again they will then tell you to talk to your bank, after the third time you state exactly what the problem is they will accept it is their fault and fix it.

Who needs lightbulbs? We have Inv tankers.

What lightbulb? There used to be one but then there was stalkers.

I still remember herding pretty much every skull in perez with my stone tanker. Then one good swing of the axe and it was Go. Hunt. Massacre Skuls.

I think it has become the standard now. Copy+Paste from old notes. As I can see there are very little power alterations, but a freespec is always gratefully received.

Ah that explains it. I should have known WW goes down with the US servers. Typical, still at least I am not just going mad.

It looks like WW is not too well at the moment. Is there any downtime for it planned? As I can't see any.

Lets see if I can remeber this correctly.

Everything in the game has a base accuracy of 50%. This is modified by the multiplier for the entity/critter/whatever. A player has a 1.5 multiplier. Therefore a player accuracy is 50*1.5 or 75%. It used to be that the multiplier was applied after the multiplication. So 30% defence would reduce a 75% accuracy to a 45% hit rate. Obviously as accuracy went up the defence based character could get eaten alive. So it was altered to be (50 - defense) * multiplier. So a 30% accuracy would give (50-30) * 1.5 or 30% hit chance. This is also altered by the tohit buff/debuff modifier but I can't remember how.

So a 30% defence gives about a 30% chance to hit you.

From past dealings with companies I can confidently state the following info.

Fansites are welcomed if they promote the game and the company. Some companies encourage you to use the game and company logos. Some won't encourage but won't discourage either. They don't mind you using their stuff as long as you state that is where it comes from and the site is promoting the game/company rather than blasting them. In my experience the same is true for pretty much all the game graphics. Companies like free advertisements, so won't be quick to shoot you down for using graphics from the game. I know of a couple of CoX related sites that use graphics lifted from pigg diving ( although we are not supposed to discuss that on the official forums ).

If you have any real doubts and want to be 100% sure PM a forum mod they will be either able to give you a yay or a nay, or can ask someone higher up the food chain for you.

I wouldn't say beyond our control. There are people, there is beer and chocolate. I am sure we could work something out to get that badge.

For more honest truth its not right to pre suppose that one knows more than another all the time. A player along side other players in another team may of been able to pull what they were intending, off. Sometimes people do not play to ones own natural expectation or even to what one sees as common sense.

Lets take an SR tanking an AV for a bunch of VEATs for example as I was remembering such a thing today. In another team of people playing VEATs they would not of moved back. Leaving the SR out of the 60ft range of maneuvers and the SR would not of been so easily hit.

People on TS can make up the bad part of a team, because they're making the them and us of the team, with those on TS and those not, its not right to assume what someone is thinking or trying to do, its better to find out for sure by actually asking and by choosing not to cooperate with so and so or by leaving so and so out of the loop, things will fail. That would make them the bad players in my book.

You know I think you are misunderstanding me, or I am not being clear. I don't mean people that play outside the box. Yes some people can. I mean the Lui's of this world. They know how to play every single combination in the game better than anything you could ever do. They are the very pinacle of perfection. When they die the game is cheating, or lagged, or hacked, or........ It is never there own fault. They deserve laughter, laughter and mocking, with maybe more mocking and laughter.

I am sorry, but if I did this to other players deliberately on hero side it would not only be the height of my own arrogance and superiority but going against the grain of playing a hero. There'd be no laughter. I couldn't knowingly compromise the whole team, they can compromise themselves or each other but I wouldn't deliberately go out of my way to let something bad happen and say "oops". I'd either trust the players to stay with them because I can easily believe we are trying to pull together and are all on the same side or leave.

I can single people out on villains because I am evil tho, and don't mind if it happens to me, 10 deaths on a evil character going through any mission with other evil characters is generally acceptable in my head.

If it was the whole team that bad I would quit the team. PuGs are great fun, waiting around constantly for people to return from hospital is not.

And anyway do what to them? Some people are like slinkys, utterly useless, but we still grin when they fall down stairs. If someone is so determined to follow their own destructive path, constantly running into group of, lets say, +3 enemies and expecting the rest of the team to follow. I say let them die. Regardless of hero/villain side. This is more about moron vs team. Moron want pain, moron want die. I get a few laughs listening to how the team isn't backing them up. Usually as they steam into a nice big room full of enemies and try to herd them with a defender. Good luck on that, anyone brought popcorn?

Also I wouldn't say "oops" I would laugh long and loud, in team chat. Possibly making mocking comments and asking if they want the tanker to go first this time. Then listening to how uber and 1137 they are. Just before they run into a nice group of pumicites.

This, by the way, is the minority of people I have met that I would let them die then dance on the corpse. Some people aren't newbies they are out and out n00bs. They deserve every troll beating, pistol whipping, rock to the face and faceplant they get. I just try to keep the rest of the team from following them to their doom.

I have a simple way to deal with teams like that. Let them die. A few team wipes and they start wondering why this one player is still upright while everyone else is on the floor. The brighter ones start to wonder if you are right when you say "let the tanker take the heat", or "please don't drop rain of X on the group I have just this second cast sleep on". I find letting them get their backsides kicked around a bit and they tend to be more willing to listen to any advice on offer.

However that said you need to be careful not to turn into the guy/gal stood ranting because the team won't listen to you. PuGs are a breeding ground for ranting n00bs, and I do mean n00bs and not newbies.

One other thing to remember is that some people will believe they are right and will taking beating after beating. As far as they are concerned they are right, you are wrong and the game is cheating. They can't be helped, you will go mad trying to help them. The trick then is to keep yourself safe and watch them die, time after time, and laugh your socks off at them. They won't last long in the game before they head off to something like xButt live to shout "cheating n00b, hax0r" at people better at games than them.

Tried a full respec. Removed every element of crab from the character. Still got a backpack. I decided to go with it and just build a crab spider.

Even when you change your build so you have no crab spider powers and only bane spider ones?
