Purchasing codes

Okay, not directly related to City of Heroes, but very much NCSoft related.

Can someone lay this bag of snakes out straight for me? I've had my account for well over a year (coming up to 2 years in fact!) and for some reason can't purchase new serial codes from their store after recently purchasing a Guild Wars (Prophecies) account.

I get the following message every time I try, and it's REALLY getting frustrating REALLY fast.

"As a security measure we limit individual online serial code purchases. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later. If you have further questions please visit this Support Center article Online Code Purchase Limits."

Following the supplied link to their "Online Code Purchase Limits" gives me precisely zero. There's no mention of how long my card is effectively barred for (and it's longer than 24 hours) just says "a certain timeframe" which isn't very helpful at all.

Does anyone know what this timeframe is, and more importantly why is it barring the very same card I've used for EVERY purchase on City of Heroes to date? Online fees and all!

I have had a simular experience. Basically there system is rubbish and goofs up quite spectacularly from time to time. The only way to unlock your card is to raise a ticket with them in the resolution center of your main NCSoft account. Eventually someone will misunderstand what you have asked and direct you to the help system. When you restate the problem again they will then tell you to talk to your bank, after the third time you state exactly what the problem is they will accept it is their fault and fix it.

I really get the impression that NCs security when it comes to using cards is more trouble than its worth companies should make it easy for you to give them money not difficult

They are paranoid about taking too much or from the wrong card so they are over cautious

Oh yes they're infamous for this sort of thing. Like others have said just pop-up a ticket.

If they don't reply soon send them an e-mail about the problem and link to the ticket, you'll get an e-mail back saying they can't do anything outside hte ticket. But it tends to kick them up the [censored] a bit.
