I've been dealing with that happening sporadically for the last couple months. I thought it was a Chrome thing. It's super infuriating because it marks everything as read when I log back in.

Quote:ahh... so that cuts down the number of arcs this issue a bit. That actually makes more sense, 'cause I thought the number of arcs was a bit high for a supposedly small issue.Hey everyone,
Dr. Aeon here to clarify a misconception from earlier in this thread. There is 1 hero arc and 1 villain arc for levels 20-29 being released for Issue 19. Praetorians and Primal Earth characters will have different dialog tree options for these arcs. -

Quote:Probably not! I barely talked to anyone 'cause of the name tag issue. But I was the guy that looked like Harry Potter (not dressed as him, I just look like that).I meant to post earlier to thank you both, RogueSeraphim and James_Joyce!
Much appreciated.
I don't know if we met and/or talked at all at the meet and greet (J_J you weren't wearing the red bow tie).
I should've went up and talked with the devs, but didn't do that either. -

EDIT:
Here are the links to all parts of the panel video:
Part 1 (fluff 'til ~10:00)
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
-------
Hey thanks! You were smart to splice out the trailer.
I'm uploading the full panel now, but it's taking forever...
The first one is done, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFPogTrkvcg
The second will be done in roughly a half hour, and the rest will probably show up in 2-3 hour increments.
You can monitor my channel if you're up when they're posted, otherwise I'll post the links tomorrow morning, assuming nothing goes wrong.
Good night! -
The videos are going to take all night to upload, so I'll just link to the first one...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFPogTrkvcg
And say that if you want them before tomorrow morning you can monitor my channel - they're all in the queue and will probably go up in 3 hour increments.
Unfortunately, part one isn't very informative.
Part two is where the juicy stuff starts - it should be done in around a half hour.
I should also note that I missed roughly the last three questions in the Q&A because my flip filled up. Other than that I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Now, I'm going to sleep! -

Quote:I don't think they said they would release one NPC group per issue. They said we would get the pieces of every NPC group they introduce from now on.Wait, so they also announced they're scaling it back to one issue a year as well? Why didn't anyone else who was there mention this?
(Since they said one new NPC group's costume pieces with every issue, then the only way to get one set a year is to do one issue a year. Not to mention that assumes that every NPC group has a single set.)
Regardless, the debate over whether we get new free costume pieces seems a little silly in a game with the level of out-of-the-box customization that we have. -
Since the video is taking so long to upload (and it's even worse because part 1 is just fluff and review, so you really have to wait for parts 2-4), here are the slides (after the fluffy review slides):

I've never uploaded such a large video to Youtube before.
135 min. remaining on Part 1 of 4.
But I'll post here when I have links. -
The Panel actually dropped a fair bit of new info - I'm uploading the video now, but it'll take a while at 3GB. I also have to test the sound quality.
Couple things I remember off the top of my head:
- besides the two TFs and extra alignment missions, there's a new hero and a new villain story arc in I19. The hero one has to do with investigating the medical transporters and why they aren't handed out to civilians, and the villain one has to do with finding out what exactly the Leviathan is and what its power source is. They didn't reveal the level range on those.
- plus plus, there are new 20-29 arcs for Praetorians to do in Paragon/Rogue Isles that continue the story of what they're doing there.
- all new NPC groups' costumes will be given to us in each issue - they showed a screenshot of a new group in I19 that looked pretty awesome, and we'll be getting that set.
- we'll be able to log out to character list in I19
- the rewards for the new zone events will scale according to your participation, and there will be actual good rewards for participating rather than just badges.
I'll remember more as I'm reviewing the video, probably. -

Dropbox just shut down my public link due to excessive traffic. I'll try to repost it somewhere else, though I don't know if it's worth it since I'm sure they'll show the same thing at the panel today, which I can get in better quality.

Quote:There were a LOT of people there, so I bet some will still be there then. If you want to play Guild Wars 2, I'd say you'd have a shot. If you want to chat with the devs, I'm guessing they'll have gone home.James, Venture - you think anybody will still be there if I show up after work around 2a? The note says it goes 'til 3a.
If it's not a big trek, you might as well try. -
Quote:Oh damn, I wish I knew you were gonna be there! Would've been good to chat.I was there but didn't hear anything notable. I did see the trailer, it was short but very cool. Most people did not have name badges and I never found anyone giving them out, so if there was anyone waiting for a chance to sucker punch me they never got it.
Yeah, the amount of people there was a problem, especially without name tags - I didn't really get to speak with anyone because I didn't know who anyone was. -
They showed a trailer for I19 - I got it on video, but it was from a bit far back, so uploading it to Youtube might be too harsh. I'm gonna try to upload the raw file to some file sharing site somewhere.
I'll hopefully get a better version tomorrow at the panel. -
Quote:Crap, I wish I'd seen this before I went - me & the g.f. walked around until after the raffle, but there were so many people there that I ended up just watching Guild Wars 2 and drinking. Wish I'd had a way to pick some of you out from the crowd! Name tags might have helped.Name tags will certainly be provided and to be able to distinguish in the crowd of NCsoft players, we also have the Statesman Star/ Arachnos lenticular buttons, hopefully enough flashing Awesome buttons as well as a few of the Razer green/orbish necklaces!
We're all looking forward to seeing you at the Meet & Greet tonight, just remember to be gentle as some of us have barely gotten any sleep on the way here!
See you later!
Also, is there no NCSoft booth at the actual con? Didn't see it today.
I have a video of the Alpha Strike trailer they showed, but it was shot at a distance so uploading it to Youtube is going to kill the quality. I'm guessing they'll show the same one at the panel tomorrow as well. Or, does anyone know some free software to crop a video on Windows 7?
